Cheapest and most flavourful cappuccino I’ve bought outside of Italy in many years. Dozens of coffee and tea options and a great environment to have a morning brew.

We had coffee and a cake here. The coffee blend was really nice and the cakes went down a treat.

A little gem in the indoor market. Coffee is good, the aroma amazing as is the buns. Loose tea selection is hard to beat on price and, at the cafe you just escape. A place to go to escape the city .

Lovely cosy place ,people who mainly locals make u feel extremely at home🙂,great atmosphere an amazing menu would recommend to all ,the whole atmosphere of the hall is good an great range of stalls to look round after your coffee break ,also if fancy a whisky coffee nip next door to tavern ,great place full of nostalgia and atmosphere, great afternoon out thankyou

What a miserable nasty place, with miserable nasty staff. Took a stool and tried to make eye contact with the manager, said “good morning”. Was completely ignored. He went off to chat with his pals, we waited. A few minutes later he came back and again ignored my “good morning” . He dropped his coffee scoop on the floor. Picked it up and started using it without washing/cleaning it and returned to his chums. It was obvious we weren’t about to get served so we left. Looking back, the rudeness was comical, and I must confess the sour expression on his face was highly amusing. Not worth the bother!

Exchange Coffee is closed on a Sunday, Google. I went to the other cafe in Todmorden Market and had an English veggie breakfast and a cup of tea. Update. Had a lovely coffee this morning (Thursday). They serve nice cakes, too. Service speedy.

Wr have had a couple of cups of coffee/tea over the last few days. Really good choice of both to drink at the site or takeaway as loose coffe/really to make at home. Friendly knowledgeable staff and good value, beats any of the chain coffee shops in both quality and price.

We stopped here with a friend for a quick morning coffee while visiting the market. Counter service with very reasonable prices. There is also a good selection of cakes and pastries. Recommended.

Surprised at some of the negative reviews. Always enjoyed hot brews here and the odd cake or ice cream. Staff are normally very busy yet polite and will chat a bit if they have time. I like that you can buy beans and various coffee paraphernalia here also.

Reeeeeeeallllly good coffee, this town doesn't know what a gem it has under its nose

It's a good and reasonably priced coffee from a local roaster with a wide selection of teas and coffees available. I have visited a couple of times and not come across the "miserable staff" that other reviewers have so not really sure what the deal is there. Although staff can seem a bit offhand I would not label them as miserable.

I have visited this coffee shop in the market quite a number of times, and every time it is the same. The staff are miserable and unfriendly almost to the point where they cannot be bothered unless they know you. One lady (who I assume ran the place) sat customer side talking to other stallholders opposite while people waited to be served. I have experienced this “cliquey” culture before; it is not nice, nor good for business. I cannot understand why the Exchange Coffee Co putting up with this as their other shops are friendly and inviting, especially the one in Clitheroe, and their coffee selection & quality is superb. To cap the experience off, one girl was washing cafetieres in small sink by hand in water that looked dirty beyond belief. No rinsing, just stood on the side to drain. Yuk! After speaking with another couple from out of town, that had exactly the same experience, I decided to write this review to warn others. This will be the last time I spend my money at this establishment, there are plenty of other coffee shops close by who will certainly be more grateful for the custom.

The coffee is good but the staff are miserable. From the bould manager to his younger staff. All miserable and they wouldn't know what a smile looks like. The coffee is good though.

Great expert service, nice selection of cakes to go with your drink. If you have not tried this coffee bar , then its your loss, not to be missed.

Amazing coffee and amazing service. Always smiling and having a laugh with both the customers and staff.

Plenty of choice with the coffee's and the manager has great advice when choosing, its not badly priced, can get busy if you want a seat, also they have a loyaltly scheme if you keep returning so pick up a card.

I love this place. Great coffee and plenty of friendly banter from staff and customers alike. Well worth a visit.

This is for the TODMORDEN branch Nice coffee but wow, a hint of a smile would be nice. Never had one in 3 years.
