The best restaurants serving Default food in Calder Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

Great restaurant our 1st visit and won't be the last. Really attentive staff and they took care of all my dietary requirements even phoned in the afternoon to run through what was suitable for me on the menu. Food was amazing and just the bit of Greece we needed, which we have missed since our holidays in the summer ☀️ 🇬🇷

Really lovely meal & great service. 3 of us had a hot & cold platter for 2 but ordered garlic sauted potatoes garlic bread & nachos. 2 beers 2 glasses of wine €68

I had an outstanding meal. The restaurant was quiet-ish but there was enough going on to create a good atmosphere. I had a very good pizza, a Napoli, with a Rocket and Parmesan salad. I had a beer with that. It was all very very good. I followed that with a lemon sorbet, then un caffè (an espresso) and then rounded everything off with a Limoncello. Service was efficient and nicely friendly. As a single traveller I felt very welcome. That was as good an Italian meal as I’ve ever had. Truly memorable and I’d go back in a flash. Grazie mille!

Gluten-free beer on draught Arbor Mosaic and more in cans in the fridge some abit pricey mind , relaxing atmosphere can imagine it gets abit compact at peak times

Had a lovely evening meal today ... definitely worth the visit. ..served by Lucy who was exceptional with table service. I'm looking forward to revisiting. Sam was very hospitable and created a very homely feeling . Keep up the good work guys . Sasha

Gone down hill, sadly. Rarely open, no food, no staff, no vibe. Hopefully, it will soon change hands again. Currently, it is seemingly shut down.

Great food and great value for money!

Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

We came as a party of 4 for Sunday lunch, 3 of us had beef roasts and one had a beef Giant Yorkshire Pudding. All were delicious, the beef was plentiful and everything was just lovely. Our friend couldn't stop staying how lovely the beef was!! Excellent value, lovely views - a shame it was typical bank holiday weather and we couldn't enjoy the beer garden. Desserts were lovely too, staff were great, couldn't fault the service. Loved the old stable area that was lit up, a lovely place and we would definitely come back if we travelled to Hebden Bridge again.

Friendly local pub with great music!

I've been a few times to this lovely spot. It's hard a really nice spruce up recently and the decor is great and comfortable. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food has been great every single time, but especially so since they updated their menu. One thing that we really appreciate is that they cater to my partner's dietary requirements without question. So easy and laid back, whether we just nip in for a coffee - which is really very good - or for a healthy, tasty lunch after a long walk. If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend it.

Brilliant starters and main courses. One of the best curries ever. Everything was beautifully cooked and spiced.

Tasty, authentic hearty food. The lovely blue cheese and walnut salad accompanied the delicious pizza perfectly as we ony wanted something light. We also ordered the dough balls to start which came with delicious home made tomato sauce made from sun dried tomatoes and the obligatory garlic mayonnaise. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we shall definitely return to try the house wine which we hear is good.

I have been visiting every few weeks or so for last several years. Generaly well satisfied, partcularly when the extremely cheery young man has been on duty, (is he still with you ?) However, to day I was served by a somewhat, shall we diplomaticaly say, unwelcoming lady. Note that a smile costs nothing, and might even encourage the leaving of a tip. I will give it one more go, and if no change, then will be trying elsewhere, no shortages of alternatives. Having walked some distance to get to HB, then my appearance was maybe not quite to the mark, who knows.

Stopped off for Burritos before the cinema, and really enjoyed the food. Would strongly recommend the beef burrito and loaded fries! Generous helpings and good prices. I look forward to coming back to try the jalapeño poppers!
