Absolutely fantastic pub. An amazing atmosphere with just the best staff and owners. The owners food is absolutely amazing 10/10. We always have a great time at the tenth lock. So many good nights and memories. Thanks to you all. Jon and Sian.

Incapable of following simple instructions. Every single time, whether it’s at the till or self-service, I say ‘Eat-in’. There are no circumstances on earth where I would ever answer differently at this location. Every single time my food is served in a bag. This is a) wasteful of bags and b) depriving me of a tray to carry my food. I eaten here a lot and sometimes I complain and am given a tray to put my unwanted bag on. I received a half-hearted apology and hope that things might be different next time. But of course they never are. Staff are unengaged and incapable of making the process of ordering or collecting food more than a chore. Of all the Burger King restaurants I’ve ever visited, this is the absolute worst. If it weren’t for its convenient location I would never visit.

It's a shame that the boiled potatoes and vegetables are virtually the same every day. Some mashed or roast potatoes would be a lovely change. Lunch delivery is early in the morning, not at lunchtime. But the delivery man is always cheerful and helpful

After ordering through uber eats del driver came did not advise anything was missing then when dished out food could feel that was cold so took one mouthful and was disgusted by the taste so rang the shop directly to be told that still missing item was on its way still not aware of this at this point so asked to speak to a manager to get told he was out delivering that old chestnut asked for a refund and apparently nothing they can do will avoid this restaurant like the plague

Such a lovely little cafe! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they really take pride in what they serve. What made the experience even better were the owners — they’re incredibly friendly and welcoming. It felt more like visiting friends than just grabbing a bite to eat. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The Red lion is a well run pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is great for a pub meal and very well priced. However what sets this pub apart is the interactive aspects, a purchase spin wheel, themed nights just to name a few. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend a trip.

We had Sunday lunch here for the first time in April 2024 and since then another 5 or 6 times. It has always been excellent, £11 or £12 for 2 different meats, roasts and mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, yorkshire pudding, stuffing and gravy. Served piping hot and cooked perfectly. The staff are very friendly and the tables in the conservatory are spotlessly clean. Normally have a couple of golden glow too. Cannot fault it at all. Thank you and we will be back.

Sometimes you just fancy something simple with a variety of Chinese dishes, and this place delivers exactly that. It’s not the most flavour-packed food, but the variety makes up for it and it’ll definitely fill you up if you’re nearby. The teppanyaki section is definitely the highlight and worth trying!

It’s a spoons. As expected. Lovely location by the canal side. Close to the Merry Hill shopping centre
