Brilliant place, good value for money, lots of choice

Not in a rush to return, a staff member was unnecessarily abrupt when I mentioned not being able to see the ingredients on stuff due to allergens. Apparently there's notices everywhere I wasn't aware nor did I see them, whilst this may be correct, her tone left a bad impression

This was the worst buffet I’ve ever experienced. The food had a terrible smell, and the options were bland and boring. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and there were far too many chavs. I was surprised to find that drinks cost extra. While the decor might look nice, it’s as deceptive as Sauron.

Really enjoyed our time here. The staff a very friendly and efficient. The food is well labelled for dietary needs and it tastes fresh. They are on their game with keeping the tables clean and free of used plates. My only improvement would be the bar area. It's very small for the amount of people the venue seats. But they still get through the queue quickly. Great value for money. Would advise booking as they get really busy.

Nice food, sitting space is large, Chinese, Indian, and South East Asian foods can be selected. The price is reasonable £14.99 for adult. I recommend to try.

Wide variety of Asian food and deserts You may discover that the latter ones have just been finished from the platters, but soon enough the staff refill the plates

Visited today for my birthday meal and have to say it’s not good at all unsafe food practices were they leave tubs of calamari on the side in the heat in stead of in a fish fridge and also serve pink raw chicken then argue with you that it safe to eat the staff are rude and walk backwards in to children resulting in my girlfriends son’s hoodie been covered in chocolate as the server knocked his plate out of his hands and as this wasn’t bad enough the staff think it’s ok to take the piss out of people behind the bar thinking you can’t hear them this includes the manager they really should be ashamed of themselves do not recommend

All you can eat buffet with a huge variety of foods. Never needed to book reservation as the place has loads of seating. Prices are very good and the staff are helpful.

What can I say. A nice pleasant environment with good lighting and decor " it reminds me of the style of decorating from the art deco period of the 1920". There's also toilets very clean and tidy, which is at the back of the premises as you come through. The toilets are very nicely decorated same " art deco style" to me , and they smell fresh no sent of urine. I think that there is a disabled toilet facility's too. The placement of the tables and chairs, not to close together but comfortable with plenty of room for you to move around. Space enough for a family getogether's and for mother's to bring in there prams and babies. As you come through, on your right the premises have a large bar, and they can mix and make any cocktails or drinks that you want, from a very large selection of alcoholic drinks, and also you can have beers if you don't want any of the fancy cocktails or drinks " if you're driving they have non alcoholic drinks, beers and pop too" . Access for wheelchair users I think might be difficult but not impossible. It's getting up to and in ,It's coming up from the lower floors too the first floor, "I think their is a lift " but you would have to travel at least fifty metres turning left if you're coming in from Asda's, then write , to get to it. But the best way to get in , is to come in at the level from the car park coming in from the bridge straight into merry hill " intu" that's the fancy name. As you come in across the bright from the car park and I think you go through the electronic double doors maybe manual, cannot remember which one. You come straight into merry hill sight it self, the restaurant is on your left, turn left around the glass facades " you will be able to look into the restaurant" , and go through the glass double doors "not automatic " . Go to the receptionist pay your fee, for me it was £15.00 and go in you will be checked/ greeted buy one of the staff "that you have a ticket " that you got from the receptionist". Make your way to a table and then from the large buffet, you choose what you want . Which is a very large selection, from European, Chinese, Indian etc ,didn't see everything too many choices to choose from, and eat as much as you like , " I could only manage one sitting plus pudding myself" . But too try them all you would have to go multiple times ! . If you're going You must get there before 3PM or 3.30 PM not sure because they will shut down and clean up and reset and get read for the evening shift which. I think it starts at 5PM or 6PM not sure, and i think that they shut down for the day for 12AM. So if you're going in the afternoon try to get thier for at least 11AM to 12PM. But it's always best to ring first and find out how everything " the times " is before you go ! . Overall a very nice place for a meal if you don't want a sandwich or a cup of tea or coffee. If you want a meal or you want to go with a friend or family, this is the place to go.

We often go here, for special occasions. As far as buffets go, this is the best way to sample both sides of Asian

Nice and clean to be honest saying, the Food was tasty either.

Took my husband for his birthday Oct 8th. The drink tasted like it was watered down. The garlic bread was hard and dry. Pizzas were cold hard and the salami on top was all dry and curled up. I was not impressed as it was 30 minutes drive for us. I contacted them and never even got a reply. The receipt hadn't got the date on but luckily I paid by card so could see it on my bank transaction. What a sham!!!

Overall good vibes but need to clear tables a little bit quicker as we had a table of 20 people

Been wanting to go for a long time now, queue always seems very long, however we got to merryhill at 4.30 without planning on going there and decided to wait for the doors to open. We were front of the no reservation queue and actually although the wait the both queues, were welcomed and seated very quickly. Next time I don’t think there will be need to jump into the queue and wait as it seems that there was no need, plenty of seating inside which was a surprise. There was also a large group of 17 seated, which makes me think it’s something that we as a family could book for a special occasion as they are well equipped to cater for large groups. Food was all very fresh and tasty, so much choice and great value for money. I felt bad for the staff for some reason as they were all so friendly and constantly working hard to clear used plates etc from peoples tables, would be nice if there was a way to tip them. Buffet style is not to everyone’s taste, it’s very much like a luxury all inclusive holiday, we love it as a family with young children as there is a good variety and quick service so no waiting around for food to be served. Will be returning in the future!

Me and my husband went for lunch , the food selection was good but not amazing compared to the price. The place is clean and the staff are great.

This a great place to be. The food is simply amazing and appetizingly displayed in very hygienic environment.

Came to the merry hill branch after normally going to the stoke branch, and can say it's just as good. The food is on point and What I expected with a nice variety of dishes To pick and mix, making a unique plate every time you go up for a plate.

It's OK, let's be honest it's like any other buffet. But with the size of this place it also feels like a factory.

First visit, OMG, what a place.. The food is really nice, and the selection was enormous. I couldn't try all the different types of food... So looks like a revisit

The quality of the food has gone down massively since it opened. It's all just too dry. The puddings always look like they have been there for a week. The service is good and it's clean but that's about it. It's cheap but just pay the extra and go to Saphari or Cosmos

Popped in on a whim, Not a bad place at all. Paying first is a bit weird, i normally like to take a look at the food and decided is we even want to stay and eat. All the food in the middle was actually very nice. A good selection of curry/ chicken/veg options/pizza chinese and teppanyaki although the teppanyaki was a bit of a let down after such a long wait. Lots of desserts to choose from and very tasty. Only thing that lets this place down is the lack of live meat grille .

The food is well worth the visit, a big variety of food which will make the whole family happy. The deserts were a particular favourite for us. The only down side is the service. You've not finished your food and they're trying to take your plate away, I went to the restroom with my youngest and my eldest and my partner had gone for more food. They'd taken the left over pop and all the plates away. I had to go to the bar and tell them our drinks had been taken. It happened again but I couldn't go up again as I felt like the bar staff would think I was lying (nothing against bar staff, the x2 men who was on when we went were absolutly lovely). It's not a seating problem as there's plenty available even though it's busy theres plenty of tables. I would go again but I'd have to make sure someone was sitting at the table at all times so things wouldn't be taken.

This buffet went over and beyond my expectations and in my eyes - completely flawless. The Best part of this buffet has to be the dessert counter which is so big and has so many sweet treats! The chocolate fountain was soo good and I'm craving strawberries smothered in the creamy chocolate. The prices are appropriate and definitely worth it. This is so perfect and I couldn't want more than this. Ps. Indians - if you are wanting an Indian buffet, I do not highly recommend this because it does not have any authentic Indian dishes. I'm an Indian myself but I had no problems with the buffet because Indian spices are too much for me 🌶🥵. Maybe try feastindia in Leicester.

Great place for a family feast where I don't have to cook!

Nice looking venue, however i'm not sure how this place continues to be busy most evenings. The majority of the food is precooked and lacks any passion and it shows in the taste. Most local takeaways do a better job, and for a buffet which has a team of ethnic minority staff members, I had higher hopes. There was also no sushi offering. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

I'm only giving 3 star review because I went with family and 3 of us got food poisoning but this was from the tepanyaki bar that they cook stuff fresh Infront of you as there was a new guy there everything else was good and the service and atmosphere was good too so I would still recommend just don't go up to the tepanyaki bar where they cook it Infront of you.

A really good selection of foods, something for everybody. Staff kept food replenished and cleared tables very quickly. Gets very busy you are advised to book and it is more expensive at night.

Superb value for money with a fantastic array of food. There's plenty of seating and the dining space is nice and airy and well laid out. The food is clearly marked and checked and refilled. The bar prices are reasonable too.

Visited for the evening some months ago and wasn’t very pleased however I have been today at lunch time and it was amazing hence the 4 stars.

2.Back again. Brought my son for the first time. He loved the selection. I would have loved the salt and pepper prawns if they were devained 🤢 unfortunately they wasn't which put me off. First time here. Really enjoyed it had a lolrage selection to choose and plates were cleared efficiently . Can't wait to go back

If I could rate this place 10 over 5 I would do it over and over again. All around 5 star.

Spacious, good food and excellent service

Very nice restaurant, chef and waiter very helpful. A lot food choices and you get more over the back.

Please note you have to pay extra for the drinks and the drinks were super expensive.As a buffet lover, food wasn't as good as expected. The roasted lamb and beef were chewy and rubbery. The prawn salad was excellent. All prawn dishes were good. The dessert section had a lot of varieties, but the taste did not meet expectations. Overall an average experience. Not planning to go there again.

Lunchtime visit for 4 of us chips and nann bread we're all dried up , barman was pleasant when he made our cocktails . Wasn't impressed with the woman who said NO to my 3yr old granddaughter who asked for one sweet on the way out . RUDE

Interesting place to visit within the merry hill centre. Buffet style food which you can definitely tell once you taste. Plenty of options though which is a bonus but still feels a bit pricey to be honest but worthy of a visit

Excellent and friendly staff throughout. Love the food that is cooked fresh wok style, not so bothered with some of the buffet offerings, but there is enough choice for almost every taste. A very noisy environment but everybody is having a great time. Drinks are quite expensive.

Wide selection of asian and western food. Asian includes Chinese, Thai, Indian selection. Can consider Japanese like sushi / sashimi and Korean.

First time with friends and totally forgot I was in the Merry Hill Centre.... All you can eat Chinese buffet! Who'd wish for more?? Choice of foods was really good to be honest. Everything from Chinese to Indian, Thai to Malaysian even fresh salad and pizza if you not interested in exotic foods.... Moreover, two of my friends are vegetarian and really enjoyed the freshly made stir-fry of their choice. Good choice of dessert and ice-creams to follow your main course if you can fit it all in that is?! Overall, great food at a reasonable price and enjoyable surroundings even if its in the Merry Hill Centre... Only one real personal caveat... No Lemon 🍋 Chicken 🐔 😫 That aside will I be returning??? Absolutely yes!! Well done!

Tatesless food. My children were shocked that I could not even eat salmon as it's my favourite, however in this restaurant its Tasteless and made me feel sick. Nothing I would say I enjoyed, my kids did not enjoy anything either. What a shame. Their fizzy drinks are not refilled and very expensive. I was calling the attention of their staff and she ignored me. I ate something like wood and I had to spat it out, my daughter could not stop complaining nothing Tates good. The environment is more like chicken and chips shop people sitting like a hall not worth the money. I regretted stopping here and will never visit again. I will nor recommend this to any one.

Used to love this place but the last couple of times we've ate there the food quality has gone down hill. Vegetables are raw, meat is very tough and the cakes are tasteless stodge. To add insult to injury they have put the prices up. No longer on our good food list, we won't be going there again.😠

There are many different options of food... for all tastes, salads, fruits, vegetables... and dessert... you can try a bit if everything. 1 price... very organised and clean. Friendly people. I'll come back.

We had a wonderful meal here, there is so many options for food and so much of it!! We enjoyed all the variety of food you could try and the great selection across puddings and main meals. We also enjoyed the range of drinks they had to offer, I had a cocktail which I really enjoyed so woukd recommend getting a cocktail along side your food. Try as much food as possible and uncover lots of new favorite food options!!! I would for sure recommend this place for a good meal out with family especially a buffet meal!!!

Visited here for our grandson's birthday 5 months ago and food was OK. Grandson wanted to revisit yesterday so we went for lunch there. What a mistake! The food was awful! The pillau rice tasted as though it had been there from the day before and I guess it will be still there that evening. Grandson tried the "cook while you wait" section and that was dreadful too. I know that ingredients have gone up in price lately but I would have preferred the restaurant to increase the charge and offer acceptable food that we could have enjoyed. All of us said we won't go back. We wasted our money visiting there.

Outstanding! 1st time ever here and wow, superb! very good value, food was very tasty, hot, checked regularly & stirred, topped up, renewed as necessary, great choice of dishes, chinese, Indian, pizza, salad, even food for little ones, cakes ice cream, fruit, highly recommended 5* excellent friendly attentive staff who clear your plates super fast ready for the next round! 👍🏻

Very nice place! Food was wonderful, staff were freindly and overall was just great! Children do get measured though and if there too tall you have to pay for an adult meal (£20). The queue for the bar was long 4/5

Brilliant buffet, for under £15 the buffet really is quality food. I was really surprised with the curries they rival the Indian restaurants. The only little niggle I have was the drinks, they only had the one guy on so we were stuck in a queue, all we wanted was a lemonade each. Other than that well worth going.

Just what we needed for our guests. Amazing experience with affordable price. Highly recommended for any events mostly Birthdays.

Extremely bad experience, I haven’t seen people cooking fish meat and chicken together sadly they were all mixed up with each other in one plate given the result below ……..(prison food) what’s even worse when we complained to the manager he explained that, this the way they cook their food.

It's so good here, I've been three times and each time it's been really busy which is a good sign. The food is so good, fresh, tasty and plenty of it 😆

Had my birthday there and really had a good time 💐

Food isn’t too bad just some of the cutlery and plates were not clean. The young woman on the desk was rude and the owner introduced himself as “I am the big boss man” 😂 spoke over the top of me which was extremely rude when I was trying to explain the situation and he told me if I didn’t like it don’t come back. Clearly doesn’t value customers and has very poor communication skills. Doesn’t deserve the custom. Won’t be returning!

Large selection of food, clean and tidy, empty plates taken quickly when finished. Bar staff very friendly. Only let down was time taken at the teppanyaki counter, the cook took longer than required to flash cook fresh food.

I was there, restaurant empty and when I ordered a table for 5 thay said is fully booked but they did served other people who was not booked without reservation.

The food was cooked perfectly the staff was really kind and the tables was clean

The interior is absolutely stunning and huge. The food was decent - impressed by the variety of dishes, there’s over 150. Love the live stir fry station, deli bar, Chinese food and dessert section. The south Asian dishes such as a chicken tikka and lamb kebab were really dry though. Customer service could be improved too, they weren’t very friendly or welcoming.

First time going today, and we were so impressed. It is really clean in here, the staff are very polite and helpful, dirty plates are quickly removed, a great range of choice of food to choose from. (Even chips and chicken nuggets for those who like to stick with that they know) Food was quickly replenished, and it was kept hot in the serving trays. We will be definitely be visiting again!
