You need to purchase the ticket to the museum in order to enter to the restaurant, plus we spent a lot of time trying to find the correct address.

Absolutely disappointed with the quality of Fish & Chips today, the “fish” was dry and burned, the fries where good. Thank you.

Wonderful fish and chips. Batter was the perfect crisp and thickness, and the chips were not anaemic looking. We were so encouraged that we even dared to try the cod roe for the first time - odd texture and not our cup of tea but no regrets trying. Went during peak lunch service, so a little bit of a wait. The team were rushed off their feet but still very friendly. Rest assured that time travelling has been enabled in this part of the attraction, so they have card machines for payment.

Massive drop in taste and quality We've been going to bclm for years and the fish and chips used to be the best around, we went in April and were disappointed in the fish and chips. The chips just didn't taste like they used to and were quite crispy dry and hard the batter in the fish was over done but we put this down to a one off.....we went again a few days ago and the fish and chips were just as bad if not worse than last time. I've no idea what they're doing but we won't be having any more fish and chips from hobbs, Hobbs really need to sort this out because compared to what they used to be (10 out of 10) they are now a measly 5 Reading recent reviews many seem to agree it's gone downhill

Worst chips ive ever had. They were so dry! The fish and chip shop was not selling any fish either on the day i went. Queue was about 20 mins for food that was not worth it. Only enough seating for 15 people inside.

Really good chips. I'll take responsibility, bit we were clearly having a portion of chips for my young daughter who wanted salt, it was pretty clear who they were for, but the guy serving covered the chips in loads of salt, I should have said a bit, but he could have seen who I was with... She didn't eat them, too salty, but all turned out well in the end, I ate them! Value was OK, it's a tourist attraction so they ain't gonna be 1930s prices are they? Ps, pie and gravy also really good.

The food is great but there was no fish due to fryers being broken for more than a month and we could only have a small portion of chips (no large ones allowed at the moment)... not much point being open as that's one of the reasons we wanted to visit the museum!

Great fish and chips brings back school days memories as we used the same shop way back in late 1965 - 1970 then the shop was in Hall Street Dudley. Ex Blue Coat School finished in 1970 the last year before the move to new things at British Federal as an apprentice.

The Chips that everyone raves about cooked in dripping were hard flavourless and undercooked tasted like frozen ones to me A portion here is a cone of chips everywhere else fish was alright Nothing special You Have to take a second mortgage out if you want a drink too a very small bottle of pop for £3.50 A small bottle of water for £2.80 Gets expensive fast if you are feeding a family None of the staff looked like they wanted to be there Maybe the fish and chips are better from the old small chip shop ? Wish I'd had a cob from the pub instead

Usually the fish and chips are probably the best I've tasted because of the way they're cooked, however when i last visited this chippy at the black Country museum the fish was still amazing but the chips didn't seem to have been cooked long enough ,i can only assume that this was down to demand as the queue outside the chippy was very long, needless to say this minor blip hasn't put me off.

Great fish and chips cooked traditionally in Beef Dripping. It was certainly the best fish and chips I've ever had. The chips were excellent and the fish melted in the mouth. If someone need gluten free there is an option as well. The only downside is the queue however well worth the wait. In busy days can take even over half an hour wait.

A curry house that recognises the difference between spicy and hot. Every dish was full of flavour but the chicken dish could do with more chicken. The shine was taken off what was an excellent meal and night out when I decided to go upstairs to the toilet. Curry houses should always have wooden floors. The state of the carpet upstairs was disgusting. Hopefully this can be rectified asap
