Fish lovely but batter well under cooked couldn't take back due to picking up in pensnett and going home to Rowley tried it but never again the lady who served me very pleasant and well mannered though 😊

Rude and unprofessional staff lack of communication and no proper manner with customers..

The food has really gone downhill. We had a spring roll which was cooked in hot fat but inside was not cooked, the chips was re heated. We put the chips and spring roll in bin , needs to improve before we go back .

Absolutely amazing food At amazing prices, customer service is impeccable the staff are always guaranteed a smile on your face and a great conversation. Never tried battered chips until I came here they’re gorgeous. Will definitely be travelling again soon just to grab a bite to eat from here. Worth every penny everyone needs to come here🙌🏼

Friendly servers, ordered 2 x Chicken and a scallop - unfortunately my chicken was undercooked (bleeding), they did offer to replace it but gave me a refund for the 1 piece when requested.

Recently moved into the area and went here on Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed my Doner Kebab, couldn’t believe the amount of meat in it, kept half for the following days lunch! Hubby enjoyed his too (which is a first, he’s very fussy!) Staff were great, so friendly. Would go here again and would definitely recommend.

Waited over an hour for my over priced food which come cold and they sent gravy with my kebab when I asked for curry sauce. Who has gravy with kebab? Called up got spoken to like **** and told to order the right thing next time. Ridiculous customer service over priced food won’t be ordering again

Was made to wait over an hour for the food that never showed up, after I called the store they then told me they couldn’t complete the order and proceeded to hang up on me. Horrible customer service wouldn’t recommend!

Lovely female staff especially the girl with the piercings. She is always friendly when i go in and knows what i want. Food is always good.

I love this chippy my favorite is the masala fish in nan the secret is under the counter pickle onion vinegar really makes the haddock and chips you can have just about anything from there and no disappointment

Ordered from the app called to ask if they had my order after an hour….. they did said it was on the way never came and the shop had closed no response nothing just under £23 pounds for no food.

Very disappointed been going for 22 years and then they don't give me all my order then get funny on the phone when I ring up asken yo try and sort it out for next time there won't be a next time

Ordered at half 4 didn’t turn up till 6 which was disgusting, food was cold, and greasy, bartered sausage was over cooked… not impressed with it at all and to top it off chicken was undercooked… will not be ordering from here again! .

Second time iv ordered for delivery 1st time took nearly 2 hours food come was cold and was missing the pizza second time been nearly 2 hours and not even answering the phone so i can chase my order if and when it turns up ill be sending it back as iv had to order from somewhere else!!

WENT AND WANTED 2 PIZZA SLICES. ON THE MENU IT SAYS 1 PIZZA SLICE WITH CHIPS IS £1.50. I TOLD THEM I DONT WANT CHIPS, JUST 2 PIZZA SLICES. GOT CHARGED £3 JUST FOR 2 SLICES. SHOULD HAVE BEEN £2 FOR 2 SLICES, DESPITE I DIDNT HAVE ANY CHIPS. COMPLETE RIP OFF. ON TOP, GOD NOES HOW LONG THE PIZZA WAS ON DISPLAY

I use Charlie's Chippy all the time on Uber Eats for family meals. Excellent portions of food, prepared beautifully and delivered piping hot. Follows any preparation instructions perfectly if requested. Very friendly delivery service too, I'm always happy to tip due to the quickness of delivery and food portion My only one issue is Uber Eats double charge, for service and then delivery, however this is on Uber Eats and not Charlie's Chippy, something I hope they will look into with Uber Eats None the less, I will always give Charlie's Chippy a 5 star rating and recommend them every time to people. Keep up the great work everyone at Charlie's Chippy, you've certainly got a very loyal customer in me and my family when we order food

Great fish and chips would highly recommend good quality food.

Very convenient and busy little business. Perfect for a quick bite, especially the buttered chips. No parking space but can easily park nearby and grab something, fish and chips or chicken and chips. Reasonable prices.

Great chippy, always go here the one time they messed up with an order it was just a bottle of Pepsi, guy was mega apologetic and even followed up to see if I had done refund so he could accept it amazing service see you again soon 👍

The food is good and the staff are very friendly

Disgusted with this place. Rang up to ask what they cook their chips in and was told HP42 which is a lawnmower oil. Whether it was a joke or not is not the point as I was asking a valid question as I'm vegetarian. They lost my business and respect.

Don't really use any other chippy now, the portions are amazing value for money and the food is really good

The food is good..... but on one visit it took ten minutes to explain I wanted a “small cod and chips” not a “small cone of chips” not two separate portions of “a portion of LARGE chips” and “a portion of LARGE cod” not two separate portions of “a portion of SMALL chips” and “a portion of SMALL cod” but a small portion of cod and a small portion of chips together in the same PLACE... and not a “oh you changed your mind you want a PLACE and chips.... you don’t want the COD NOW!!!!“ frustrating and infuriating and not great being treated like an idiot trying to order the simplest possible order possible of a “small cod and chips”....

Always had brilliant food from Charlie's Chippy until tonight 17.4.2020, been on lock down now for 3 weeks fancied something different so ordered food via Ubber Eats. Ordered food at 18:15 and after, can you believe 41 phone calls number constantly engaged ( wonder why) managed to get the food delivered at 20:45. Two and a half hours for food, and when you think we're only 600 yards from the chippy. I can appreciate Charlie's must have been busy but come on Charlie when it gets so busy that customers have to wait two and a half hours for food isn't going to do you any favours. To top it off the food was just warm and ended up in the bin. Complete waste of £13.80, never again

Since it's been taken over by new management the portions have reduced massively, chips seem overcooked quite disappointing really as been using this chip shop for many years
