Very disappointed with the takeaway Sunday lunch had the £12.00 meal didn't won't roast or mash potatoes got 1 slice of Turkey 1 slice of beef very small portion of veg 1 extremely small ball of stuffing which was over cooked 1 Yorkshire pudding which was over cooked ie burnt and gravy made a complaint to the owner who had a attitude and tried talking over me refused to give a refund then walked mumbling oh and had this conversation in the main bar infront of his own customers WOULD NOT RECOMMEND The Rose and Crown for take aways meals to anyone this was a cost of £12.00 NOT WORTH IT Ripe off.

They held the wake after my mum's funeral in the conservatory great atmosphere lovely food great staff very efficient highly recommended

Popped in for an afternoon drink and stayed for Sunday dinner with my family. It smelled delicious and couldn’t stop staring at other people’s dinners! Absolutely belting grub and great service! Love that the food came out hot and was homemade by the friendly chef/manager! Great atmosphere will come again. Always a nice pint of Holdens and a warm and welcoming pub. Recommended! Good cobs too! Friendly staff and clean and tidy environment. Very reasonably priced too. Now doing hot food on weekend, Sunday lunch and curry etc. Booking advised for Sunday lunches. Plenty of off street parking and lovely outside seating area. Nice winter fire 🔥 👌

Popped in the pub as hadn’t been in years. Beer was excellent, 2 log fires going in both rooms which made the rooms nice and warm. Place was very clean. They do cobs which were good value and tasty

No food let's this place down considerably. There was not even so much as a cob. Aside from that nice atmosphere comfortable environment. Drink fine but a bit pricey

Great real ale bar with friendly staff.

It may be 'Bitter'-ly cold outside, but once you cross the threshold of this pub you'll find a warm 'Golden Glow' from the fireplace which makes for a simply 'Special' experience... Oh and they do 'lager' too

Went here for the first time today as our car broke down.....down the road came here to have a drink with the kids before getting a taxi such a lovely place little garden for kids nice and quiet weather was lovely aswel and the cheese cobs aswel Will definitely be returning with the kids Even though its out our area will return nice bar staff lady aswel x

Wow.....Holdens public house. Had the Special......priced ok £3:10. Thats all i can say. This pub used to be a boster. I've given it 1 star for the barmaid. Not the ale. Don't know whether i caught it on a bad day....😖🙇‍♂️.

Proper old style pub, conservatory good addition for outdoor pre drinks visiting the civic to see a show that night ....all the charm of the proper old drinking pubs before the gastro era....old world charm, good clean pint ... down to earth folk with good humour....

Nice little pub on banks st Brierley hill which has a good atmosphere friendly locals & staff ! Well worth visiting as the cost of drinks are fantastically cheap ! Has a nice conservatory where food is served which is also good value. Plays 50,60s music on Tues,Wednesday's great for family's easy on the pocket recommended !
