It's normally pay day weekends my partner an I visit here as she likes to have a moan about the cost of eating out and all that jazz. But also because my favourite thing on the menu is the Great American breakfast which is just shy of £20. But my, even with a Belgian waffle (?) It's Amazing! Staff are always antentative and helpful, even though I know exactly what I'm ordering before I get there. Well deserved 5

Very disappointing. Probably the blandest burger I have had. Other food was ok but I don't think anything stood out. No table check and staff very flustered even though it didn't seem packed. Wouldn't rush back.

Service was not great and alot of poad mouth drunks In. Food was good but small portions for the price

Very pleasant atmosphere with good fresh cooked food. The choices are a bit limited but portion sizes and quality were good. The service was quick and friendly.

Sitting in Hickorys after just eating my food and cannot wait to leave my review. We sat at the chefs bar infront of the kitchen.. The food.. Amazing...Briskett and Go Big or Go Home Burger... the staff.. Wow... sitting here makes you realise just how hard the staff work.. they are so organised.. efficient....and work amazing together. Truely a hardworking team. It has made me appreciate all of the hard work that goes into preparing your meal... even the lad washing up/ cleaning/ refilling boards and cups.. he is outstanding too...Thankyou Hickorys Wall Heath for a fantastic experience at your restaurant this evening 😊

It's very hot inside, not got air conditioning and food was burn and took ages for food

Lovely food , as always whenever I have visited here. Excellent selection of beers,lagers,gins & cocktails. A lovely place to eat out at every once in a while as some might see it as a bit pricey but the food/service is excellent.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing service. Lucy and Tom both looked after us during our time with you, they are both absolutely exceptional; they were kind and attentive. They made the night for us! Definitely recommend the Smoky bourbon bacon bites, the Cheesy giant pretzel, the Texas style brisket and the Cedar plank roasted salmon!! Will definitely be coming back!

Food and drinks were lovley , Dylan was so sweet and friendly and brings a warm character to the place , Tilly who served our food was so warm and positive and recommended the perfect blueberry lemonade and Amelia recommended the cookie sandwich which was amazing she was very efficient , thank you all x

After my daughter graduated we decided to celebrate by booking a table at Hickories Wall Heath.Friendly welcome food was very nice.Not once did we get asked if everything was ok with our food. And after asking for the bill TWICE after the girl on reception ignored my request it finally came 30 minutes later . And they still had the nerve to add a tip but I promptly asked them to remove it.I have visited this place a lot and always leave a tip. But on this occasion I was ignored and kep t the tip for myself. You must do better Hickories!!!

Staff were phenomenal even with a table of 12.

Service was a little slow (but to be fair they're rushed off their feet) Food was well worth the wait. Lovely atmosphere, didn't feel crowded even though it was extremely busy. Food - amazing. Portion sizes just right.

The venue was very busy and very VERY loud. Lightly was poor and could barely read the menu. Toilets had an awful smell and bins were overflowing. Staff were amazing and we had a huge table and they almost got everything right. Food was nice, not amazing and very expensive in my opinion. I’ve been a couple of times now and won’t go again

Very speedy service, plates cleared away quickly. Breakfast was amazing I had the pancakes with bacon and my mum had the waffle.

My daughter graduated at Bristol uni and for a treat I booked a table at Hickories wall heath.Food very nice but I felt the service was absolutely awful.Not once were we asked how our meal was.And after asking for the bill they kept me waiting 30 minutes.Normally I would ask again but nobody even glanced in my direction.I always leave a tip but not this time.Need to do way better Hickories!!

Atmosphere and service was great. Nice busy Saturday evening and the place had good vibes. The food was good. But unfortunately my brisket was dry. we where in a big group and all the other meals where good. Very good gluten free option which I was very impressed with

Had a really good time on the evening of Thursday 1st August, Daughter's 21st Bithday! We were having a massive garden on the Saturday, so this was an outing for my wife and I, and Daughter with boyfriend. Very nice it was too! I can recommend the "Go Big or Go Home" burger - it was excellent. I managed to put it all away, no desert required ! It was busy for a Thursday, confirmed as such by Jenson (who, we have to say, was excellent - an absolute credit to the establishment), the staff coped admirably.

Had an amazing night ,went for my grandsons bithday. Staff were really friendly, cocktails were very professional done , Toilets very clean I will definitely be going back ,it was so nice to go out for dinner and have really good service food amazing!!!!

Me & hubby went for lunch on speck for our 49th wedding anniversary. The staff were so lovely & at the end of the meal gave us a platter with a candle fountain, strawberries & chocolate writing congratulating us on our anniversary. They also gave me flowers. We were so touched, it was wonderful. We ordered the massive sharing meat platter which was absolutely delicious. Then we had the Alabama Fudge Cake for dessert - recommended by our server. It was gorgeous. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were welcoming, friendly, courteous & so lovely. We loved every minute. Thank you to all.

We went 23rd July 2024, our waitress was Ellie, from the moment we walked in the staff were so good to us, they really looked after us, we were celebrating our anniversary and they really made a fuss and made us feel so comfortable. Ellie was a fantastic waitress and so friendly, she took her time to chat to us and listen to our interests in travelling to America etc. Thank you so much all for making our anniversary special, will defo be coming again.

We went to Hickory's for a 35th Birthday meal for our daughter, and our 45th Wedding anniversary. The food is always of a very high standard and served piping hot. The staff are always pleasant and accomodate me with my electric buggy. Our waitress on the evening was "Jamie", who was very nice and payed a lot of attention to make sure we had everything we needed. At the end, they bought out two dounuts with flaming fountains for our daughter, then returned a couple of minutes later with two "mocktails" and flaming fountains for our 45th Anniversary. It was soo nice and the staff always so friendly. It made our day.

This place is very busy with the staff moving about at a brisk pace yet they stay friendly and efficient. The food is delicious but be warned, go there when you’re hungry as I’ve never seen such generous helpings of meat. Ideal for most occasions where you would prefer an atmosphere.

Pros: Immaculately clean, friendly and attentive service and despite being a huge venue, was able to retain an element of privacy whilst dining. Over achieved in these respects and menu was priced reasonably. Cons: Naturally with glazed barbecue there is an expectation of some sweetness of flavours, but sadly every item, including the salad I ordered, were sugar coated with glaze, dressing, marinade. Too sickly for my own personal tastes and I paid the digestive cost so to speak immediately and throughout the night. I don't want to knock the venue too hard as it is staffed by young people who are obviously working very hard, but prospective customers should be aware that unless they've a very sweet tooth, then it is probably best to drop in for a quick sugar rush, pancakes with maple for those who like that kind of thing. So, overall, OK, nice people, good staff, but the food wasn't for us.

Something a bit different...went again today and the staff were all friendly and polite....it's the kind of food I enjoy anyway so will definitely be going again.

Kept waiting for 45 mins when there was empty tables when food arrived it tasted Bland, lacked seasoning. We were told they were not a steak house and specialised in smoked foods however I would expect them to know how to season a steak and mac and cheese. Very disappointed on this occasion

Service was top tier, went for a work event, food came out quickly, servers were in good spirits and were friendly and up for a laugh. Food was phenomenal, proper American style food. The chilli cheese sausage was amazing Upon learning of my colleagues intolerance to dairy they took every care they could to make sure he was catered for and were very welcoming to swap anything out

Loads of choice. Always best to buy a few mains as a group and then share...unless you are Joey, Joey doesn't share food.

Such an amazing place to visit, went for my wife's birthday and the service we received was amazing. The food is to die for, especially if you like your meats! The texas brisket has to be our favourite, although the bbq ribs, the go big or go home burger, and the mac 'n' cheese are equally as good. They even bought out a birthday donut with sparkler for my wife. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks Hickory's, you're all amazing!

For a steak house there are some great vegetarian vegan options. The food is seriously impressive. Whilst the prices are high the portions are large and the service is good. Staff are friendly, helpful and funny. The onion rings are huge, dessert is very tasty. There is also a little movie theatre in back!

Serve with a smile No waiting for food. Food was tasty and well presented Only small issues “TIPS” Added on but no issues to take it off! Why not give the customer the opportunity to Tip if they wish to? I’m a Head Chef of a cook/chill unit for 12 hospitals providing home made cooking,cooking on average 20 thousand portions per day, I don’t get tips nor do my 4 chefs. But well deserved. Will definitely revisit

Had a lovely evening here for my father in law's 70th birthday. I highly recommend the brisket it just melts in your mouth. Daughter loved the marshmallows over the fire. Brilliant service from the staff.

Quite enjoyed my experience here. Wait time was short(Monday lunch) and wait staff were friendly. The theming is well done and very aesthetic, almost reminded me of being in a disney themed restaurant. Food was lovely, portion sizes was good as I understand the cost of living etc. The burger we had was just a standard burger, no real taste to it, just standard smash burger. The brisket sub was flavourful and the gravy paired really well with it. Would recommend coming here and trying it for first timers.

Wow! What an incredible first time experience. We are absolutely blown away with the amazing atmosphere, customer service and general hospitality. Our server Jenson was absolutely incredible! He always checked in on us double checking if we needed anything and making sure we was completely satisfied. He even recommended some stuff off the menu and he remembered our orders which there was 4 and everything was bang on. Food was outstanding. So so happy! We cant wait to come back asap! Thanks again for making us feel so comfortable and happy! X

I stepped into the building and was amazed by the beautiful scenery, and the amazing warm welcome, I was so pleased with the process & the food, the brisket I had truly opened my taste buds up once again, I will definitely be returning back to this establishment, I will say it definitely gives you American themed vibes with great service, it was my birthday and without my knowledge they brand over a beautiful presented free of charge desert & sang me happy birthday which was very generous, the prices were reasonable and definitely worth every single penny, Amazing!

Food was excellent. The ribs were full of flavour. Couldn't fault the service. All round excellent meal.

Good experience here the last two visits. The food is pretty good and the service excellent. Drinks are a bit pricing but no different to similar establishments.

Went with family for my nieces birthday. Having never been before was keen to try and find out if all the hype was worth it. I ordered the half chicken hot and spicy and asked if I could have the spicy sauce on the side as would prefer to use as a dip. 1st chicken that arrived was inedible so dry like it was cooked 2 weeks ago and had been reheated several times. I immediately sent it back. 2nd chicken wasn't any better disgusting dry rub all over it. My daughter had mac and cheese which I have to say was beautiful really nice. Partner had cowboy steak which basically was a thin piece of rump not worth the £25 price tag. Service was non-existent waiting over an hour to order 2nd round of drinks. Basically I will never return don't understand why people rave about the place.

A great Western themed bar and grill.

We didn't make a booking and I realised it was a bank holiday Sunday so I was really suprised it was only a 20 minute wait for a table the place was packed out so we were super grateful, we ordered the sharing platter and a side off mac n cheese the food was incredible so tasty and really filling definitely worth the money and the service from Brooke Foster was fantastic we will definitely be back!

First time at the restaurant with the wife to celebrate her birthday with a breakfast to start the day. Whilst the food was as amazing as I expected and friends had already suggested to me, I was blown away with the service. From the Welcome, seating and the service at the table from deeana, to the nice add on of a birthday donut with a sparkler and the cocktail lesson. Despite losing her voice, Beth was eager to add to the experience, and we were soon mixing cocktails with Shane behind the bar! We did not ask nor expect this, but all added to the amazing experience there. This place is a must visit, and if this is what to expect at breakfast / brunch, I can't wait to come back for dinner and more masterpieces mixed by Shane at the bar! Pav and Shelley

Here for an early birthday for my Grand Daughter they made it special for her Everyone loved the food which was bigger than expected It was a bit quiet early but livened up music was good for us "old Uns "

So get this, they put this in tiny font on their menu: a '7.5% tip has been added to your total. you can ask to take it off etc'. That's one way to play the game, relying on patron's politeness lol And speaking of service, it was abysmal. No one tended to our table, no one came to take our order, no one was ever around. We had to get up and ask for water/napkins/cutlery/someone to take our order. This is the service they are adding a 7.5% tip for. Food was not terrible, but nothing to write home about.

Loved it. It was my son's first birthday so we went for dinner. They were kind enough to sing him happy birthday with a candle in his cake. Brilliant staff. Really friendly and welcoming. Couldn't recommend more.

I don't usually leave reviews (believe me when I say I don't) but I have to commend this place....great customer service, especially Jensen who was a great host (please don't overlook or underestimate him Hickory's Smokehouse) made my 18 year olds birthday so special. Smokehouse offered a cocktail lesson where he made his own drink. The guy the bar behind the bar(sorry didn't catch a name) who guided him was also excellent. My son was was soooo impressed with this. The overall customer service and food was excellent. I would definitely go back to Wall Heath Hickory's again. Once again thanks for a great experience

Very large car park with wheelchair assessable entrance. Good atmosphere and they have a live singer on Friday nights. The food menu is large and varied as is the drinks and cocktail menu. The food was very tasty and well presented and didn't take to long to be served. The bar staff were also quick to serve us. The staff were very friendly , helpful and accommodating. Great for large groups or couples. Will definitely be revisiting this place.

Went here today for the first time on our work break me and my 3 lovely colleagues were very impressed with the place as a whole. The staff were absolutely incredible very polite and even taken a photo for us thankyou to the lovely lady staff member who did this for us, also it was my colleaguea birthday Daniella and they went above and beyond to bring her a lovely happy birthday cake and board on the house the food was amazing definitely with the money and what a beautiful place it is inside we will definitely be back again thankyou for a cracking service 🙌😊

Went on a milestone family Birthday , it was during the week having been here on numerous occasions previously and therefore expected on arrival a good customer atmosphere and a staff warm welcome , got NOTHING , just a cold greeting and disinterested staff looked like there would rather prefer to be at home with there feet up On being seated and given menus waited 15mins for a staff member to ask on drinks or ti order food but no one came therefore had to get the attention of a staff member to take our drinks order and again another to take food order she actually got the order wrong and additional food came ( should have confirmed order especially one over £200 to be sure) In receiving food which was very good didn’t ask if wanted sauces and had to ask for cutlery Not a good experience on this occasion, I believe the staff need training on interpersonal skills and more awareness of customers who require attention Having Spent well over £225 I still

Went in for a brunch breakfast, and it was top drawer. Service was great, as was the food and the price paid. Awesome firework and donut because it was my birthday! Only minor feedback is for atmosphere - it's a bit dark in the restaurant!
