A lovely little tea room in the heart of Porlock . Very quaint with lovely food . We loved the homemade soup & the tea service. The proprietor makes everything on site & it's so English an absolute delight. In our opinion they do need a helping hand on busy times as we did wait quite a long time for service. A little background music would be nice as with many tables close together we felt we had to whisper. We really like it here although sadly it was way too expensive for us to return 😭

What a find!! Can not recommend this Tea Room highly enough. We’ve had lots of cream teas over the years, but Bramdowns is the best ever. The homemade scones were amazing. The service was first class and so friendly. The decor and the crockery are lovely, also with the music in the background you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed it, so much more than just a cream tea. Long May you continue, Ladies. Next time we’re passing by Porlock, Bramdowns, is a definite stop off.

Fantastic stay at Locando in the Weir. A touch of class but in a very understated and friendly manner. Cindy and Pio are the perfect hosts who make you feel so at home. We felt relaxed from the minute we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated. The lounge area is welcoming and cozy with sofas you disappear into and the dining area itself is so cleverly thought out. The artwork on the walls will keep you engaged for a good while. The standout is the food served though, every dish is so well put together and Pio takes the time to explain each as they are served. We had a great time and would love to come back. Thank you for a great weekend Cindy and Pio. Simon and Anita (and Kaydee the Greyhound 😊).

Lovely hotel in a quiet, picturesque location and a comfortable room with a great view over the weir and a great shower thrown in. The food was delicious, especially the exmoor breakfast and wood fired pizzas. The staff were helpful and friendly. Ideally situated for fantastic walks on the South West Coastal path and Porlock, Minehead and Lynmouth not far away. Cost for 3 nights winter break was fairly reasonable. Highly recommended... Update #1 - No change, same high standards of everything, this time for an Easter 4 night break. So peaceful and relaxing, warm and inviting. We'll be back again soon, which for us will be an unprecedented 3rd visit... Highly recommended 5 stars...

Ordered the ham ploughman's for myself and partner, food arrived quickly and good size portions. Everything was fresh and nicely presented and with a decent pot of tea too. Staff were very polite and friendly. There was plenty to choose from on the menu from cakes, sandwiches to light lunches. All reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend.

Absolute gem of a pub in the beautiful surroundings of Porlock Weir. We stayed for two nights and the accommodation was brilliant value with a lovely fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. Food at lunch and dinner delicious too, steak and ale pie a particular highlight and the best chicken nuggets ever according to our five year old. Proper freshly cooked pub grub and a great selection of well kept local ales to accompany. Staff were all brilliant, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Great breakfast both Full breakfast and the large big breakfast. A good find on a wet and windy Saturday. Nice breakfast well cooked to order so expect a little wait but worth waiting for and the dog was allowed to come inside as well.

Beautiful setting; a quintessential English garden. We have visited Kitnors over the past few years whilst holidaying in Devon but our last visit was very disappointing. Ordered cheese on toast and cheese scones. Thin sliced loaf with thinly processed cheese. Scones were tiny with thinly sliced processed cheese. Small portions of chutney. All served on small tea plates. We’ve always promoted Kitnors to others but sadly not anymore. Staff were friendly but food was poor.
