The best restaurants serving Default food in Taunton Fairwater Taunton Deane South West

Midweek lunch, it was reassuringly packed, everything was prepared & cooked from fresh, so tasty, we had 3 courses, I had a Calzone made to my specific choice of ingredients,and a bottle of red, Nina was on form, the service is so good here. Will be back.

This has to be the best restaurant in Taunton. Fancy something different? Thought of Portuguese skewers? This is the place to go. About a 10 minute walk from the railway station and 5 minutes from the town centre, the restaurant oozes atmosphere and authentic charm. The staff are friendly and accommodating and can recommend dishes with an excellent knowledge of the menu. The food is divine and freshly cooked to order. There are individual skewers with 2 side dishes as a main course along with sharing platters too for two people. Highly recommended for eating out in Taunton but be sure to pre-book as it gets busy. However, a busy restaurant is always a good sign! As locals, we love Skewer House! It was a delicious evening. Obrigado!

Our works Christmas party every year and always amazing

We went on a Sunday night the restaurant was quiet, very attentive waiters, we both went for the tasting menu and so glad we did! It was a great way to sample the cuisine, the variation in the tasting menu was amazing, we loved all the dishes and now know when we return what we would choose from the main menu, and we will definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely evening

Food was amazing, best Thai I’ve ever had.

ordered 2 hrs before delivery time , still late however not the worst thing. Shashlik chicken was extremely dry to a point I couldn't eat it. other meals in the past have been good so this was very disappointing

Amazing food, so tasty, with depth of flavour and a kick to leave your tongue tingly, depending on what you order. Definitely the best in town. Deliveries are in good time with friendly, professional drivers. Very highly recommended. Can’t rate it highly enough.

Had a lovely meal. Service was fabulous. We arent from the area so had no knowledge of the local restaurants. Would highly recommend. Husbands Chicken Phal was spot on.

I had such a delicious brunch dish yesterday I wanted to leave a review. This coffee shop has the highest standards and attention to detail is clear to see. I ordered the avocado on sourdough, with feta - this was so beautifully presented with just the right amount of chilli. Tasted divine. There’s a lovely atmosphere here, great location and would thoroughly recommend a visit, you won’t regret it.

Really great sandwiches made to order. Great service from a nice small team who will make a fresh sandwich while you wait. A selection of cakes and the Shrewsbury biscuits are delicious! Just the right amount of spices. I do question whether the hygiene rules are adhered-to regarding gloves and combining food preparation with payment acceptance

Ordered Special Curry, got a prawn one which was bland. The other dish was overly sweet. Did not enjoy the quality of the food.

Food was alight, but it tasted overcooked, like it was sitting about for a couple hours. Took a while to order the food but once ordered it wasn't long until it came out, probably because it was microwaved. nearby parking it pretty much impossible to come by. Food portions were tiny compared till the last time we went there. (see pictures) Shrinkflation, overpriced crap. One picture is from last year, one picture is from a couple days ago.
