Very decent traditional fish and chips. I visit Blue Ocean every time I am in Taunton.

Omg chips were so hard and burnt discuisting almost lost a tooth Will not use this chip shop again

So damn rushed and busy that they forgot my fish. No chance to check before I took the food away. Curry sauce - don't touch it - It's so horribly hot and raw. None of us wanted it after we tried it.

Portions are massive and fresh, it's now our local chippy, well done to everyone there

Great fish and chips, they also have an online service where you can place your order before going to pick it up (saves having to remember what everyone wants) Sometimes I just pop in for some chips to complement a meal I'm cooking at home

Blue Ocean Fish & Chips is by far the best fish and chips take away restaurant in Taunton and surroundings. Very friendly crew, always best quality fish, and fresh chips. We love the cod, but everything is similarly great!

Local chippy to me. Large tasty portions and very fast the times I have visited. A bit expensive but unfortunately we f&c's aren't the cheap takeaway they were some years ago.

Fantastic- finally a chip shop with a proper large fish, cooked to perfection and the slice of lemon is a great touch. Possibly the best fish I’ve had. Thanks, will definitely pop in again when next in Taunton.

I had it on Monday I ordered a kids chicken nugget meal and today I found out it gave me food poisoning and my friend had it too

Amazing fish and chips yes. Was a little sad as ordered 2 large cod 1 chips . I can of drink. 2 tarta sauce. Charged 17.50 . Thinking no more as fair price. To get home in bishops lydeard to find I had 1 cod. A meal I bought for my mum. She ate hers while I drove back. To be told 1 large cod chips , drink and sauce was 17.50. Ok. I missed my meal. And drove back twice. But never ever going here again as large cod and chips with drink is 17.50 or I just been ripped off

Not complaining...it's a very good Chippie. Just wondered why it was closed on Fri 2nd Sept at 7.00 in the evening. I didn't get out the car...maybe there was a notice in the window.

Really nice tasty cod and chips, staff were friendly and patient with me deciding what to get. My wife liked the food more than I did but it was nice.

Brilliant chips, we tend to get battered sausages or scampi but all of the food is delicious. The food is always served with a smile and the staff recognise their regulars! Would thoroughly recommend!

I would say the best fish and chip shop in taunton. Always fresh and the people are lovely. Restaurant is not on justeat but i did ask once why and they said it would charge the customers more for delivery and they didnt want to do that which is fair enough. At the end of the day i would walk or drive to have my fish and chips from blue ocean.

I've been coming here on and off for a long time, the owner used to be on East Reach and has a very good reputation. Previously the food was fantastic but last nights chips were soggy and undercooked and the chicken was dry. Might be a one off and it hasn't put me off coming back, if it's better next time I will update this review.

We ALWAYS visit the Blue Ocean Fish Bar. The best fish and chips we’ve tasted. Freshly cooked, crisp batter, chunky chips. Very generous portions. Highly recommend this place. If you haven’t tried their fish , what you waiting for! 🤗

The fish and chips at Blue Ocean Chippie are absolutely gorgeous. We go nearly every Friday lunch time and they are always great and very tasty indeed! As well as great food, you will always get great service too. They recognised me from early on and always ask after the people I buy the OAP meals for. Genuinely really lovely staff work there. Thank you for all your hard work & lovely smiles!

Large portion of chips is Enormous! Batter on sausage was light, crisp and not greasy. Will definitely be returning.
