Fish & chip takeaway at 5pm, i ordered cod & chips, the chips were good, properly cooked &'clean'. The fish...ive never seen cod that shape before (more like Plaice) & a little tasteless though freshly cooked. Batter was OK. This venue only takes cash-no cards at all!!

A very good fish and chip shop located on the outside of town. The prices went up a little recently, but you still get a lot of value for money with the size of the portions, and the people running the shop are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

Very handy for cheddon Road folks. Parking for 2 cars, cash only though.....

£17 for two fish n chips and the chips were soggy and the fish not even my cat would eat it never go there you have been warned

Never used this fish shop before so thought I would give it a spin. Only one size of fish and it's huge and for an amazing £6 & one small portion of chips that could feed two for £2.60. Chips were amazing just like I remember them as a child & the cod was delicious & the batter was so crispy. A full & satisfied young man & all for £8.60. Other local fish shops should take note & drop their already extortionate prices and up their game. This is my local from now on.

My Food and friends food was soggy and fresh at all, Fish was so over cooked i had a job to eat it :( Didn’t enjoy at all, will not be going back.

I personally think that this place IS the best chip shop in Taunton. I have tried many many chip shops in our town over the past 47 years and have found no others that even come close. The people who run the shop are friendly, quick and good at what they do. The service is fast and comes with a smile. Their chips a superior to any others I have tried and the half a roast chicken is sublime. I highly recommend buying your take away from here whenever you're hungry or in the area.

Great Chips, the best in Taunton, we have to travel to the place but it worth it.

Normally go out of our way to go to this chip shop as normally enjoy them. However visited today 17:10 when normally go later in the evening and have fresh chips however these were very dry, dark in colour, chewy and tasted like cardboard. Highly suspect they may have been heated up from lunch time. Unfortunately traffic is so bad in Taunton and due to personal circumstances not going to return to the shop tonight, else would have to ask for fresh chips.

Good sized portions, covid secure, one person in to order and then you wait outside until food is ready. You are then called in.

The chips were very dry and all 5 meals were ruin by the chips being dry and like they were heated up chips. We will not be attending here in a hurry.

! Update May 2019 Not so good now so we don't buy from here anymore. Food very greasy and yellow instead of golden brown, possibly caused by a change in the brand of cooking oil.

I have been going to this Chip shop for the past 35 years , it's by far the Best Chip Shop around , it reasent times it has changed over to new family members and the standard of food and service did drop . But that has all been resolved and they are back to the old Very Good sandard of Food ..

You better be hungry going in here, the portions are huge. They do an OAP meal, which is bigger than some chip shop small fish and chips. Everything is cooked to order.

Saw the Ocean Fish Bar being renovated on way to my Mothers locally. Had never been in before and last year tried it out. Well ..... the best fish and chips I've had in many a year. I went back this week and the standards have been maintained. Fish is generous and moist, with a superbly crisp batter. All that's missing is the seaside !!! The place is small, but looks spotless and the staff very polite and smartly presented. This is everything a good 'fish shop' should be. Make sure you support establishments like this so as not to lose the local corner shop Fish Bar.

This is a very good fish n chip shop, no more no less. The chips are to travel for and the pies and sausages, fish cakes are well known. The fish although not as good as some is quite filling.

Always go here when the family have had a busy day and can't be bothered to cook. Chips and curry sauce are amazing! Best in town by far... Keep up the good work guys.!👍

Cannot faut their chips n curry sauce and battered sausges -did not like the fish was almost like it was fale and straight from the freezer-good service and polite staff though !
