Wow! The food was 'autentica' because it is freshly prepared to order, you are encouraged to tailor it to your own personal taste. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu, even the 'specials' board which changes. The staff are so friendly. Big shout out to 'Nina' who took our order and looked after us. It's great to experience an Italian restaurant with genuine Italian speaking staff. You feel Iike you are in Italy, historic map of Italy on the wall, another beautiful photo of Venice's Rialto bridge. It's the full authentic Italian experience. You can practice your Italian before your next Italian holiday. Will be a regular from now on. Thank you. Dino.

We came to little Italy in Taunton today and the food is all freshly nice and cooked very well. There wrapped up half of my pizza up in tin foil so I could take home with. We shared a cheese garlic bread. To drink I had an orange juice. We didn’t have time for a pudding as we were going to go and see the hungry caterpillar. We will have pudding next time. I cane with my direct payment worker/lady.

Popped to Little Italy for a treat lunch with my husband, we have been once before and loved it so we were looking forward to some delicious authentic Italian food……we were not disappointed! (You can see by my pics we were so excited to tuck in that I forgot to take a photo first 🤦‍♀️😂) I had a pesto tagliatelle which was absolutely delicious, and my husband chose a calzone….which they gladly added more chilli’s too at his request, again this was scrummy! Somehow we squeezed in a tiramisu for afters and both left feeling very full (and happy!) The service was great, the lady serving was very attentive to all of the customers and very helpful, polite and funny. This place really is a little gem, we can’t wait to come back!! 😊😊😊

Found this hidden gem when my partner and I were hunting for somewhere last minute to have supper, and how fortunate that we did. An authentic, cosy and no-nonsense restaurant that's tucked away from the busy town centre, giving the illusion that you could almost be in the heart of Rome. Food was served in generous portions and was certainly made with true Italian passion by Andrea, who made the effort to check on us herself. Can't wait to revisit this summer for some al fresco dining. Definitely a newfound favourite!

You’ll find this restaurant tucked away in a quaint little courtyard next to one of Taunton’s beautiful Tudor buildings. We visited on a Saturday lunch time as we couldn’t get booked in on an evening due to advance bookings and I’m not surprised! A simple yet comprehensive menu with home cooked, delicious meals, simple starters, traditional, hearty Italian mains and fabulous homemade desserts. No frills or nonsense but it’s not needed. The crab ravioli is to die for! The food is created and cooked with love and care and it shows. With the lovely Bruno front of house, Andrea cooking up a storm in the kitchen and Nina looking after the customers, it’s a tightly run shop that works. I can’t recommend it highly enough. You simply must try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I visited here yesterday lunch with some friends, the food was excellent, the staff helpful and professional. The environment is nice and the service was pretty quick. They don’t have food menus so have a look at the chalk boards before you sit down. This is a great little restaurant with lovely authentic Italian food & perfect for a lunch stop.

I visited with my wife and our two girls (10 and 3) and we loved it! Seafood risotto, carbonara, and pizzas were ordered - each of them were authentic tasting and delicious. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dessert, but the ice creams looked delicious too. We were served in a friendly manner by people who clearly care about the food they serve. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who happens to be in the Taunton area.

Lovely tasty food, welcoming staff who are passionate about the dining experience. Table wine we all loved - no mean feat! Didn't need dessert but the homemade lemon cheesecake was too much of a temptation and it didn't disappoint. Loved the whole meal.

Stopped in for a coffee and cake. Not a cake place really. Didn't have much which was disappointing but they did have lemon cheesecake which was lovely and so was the millionaires shortbread. The coffee was a little bitter for me. The service was friendly and quick. They were helpful and it's a lovely little place. But as a coffee shop owner myself, they need latte spoons for the tall latte glasses and perhaps some light music playing outside which would give it that little extra bit of character. Really tasty food - stopped in by myself & hadn’t booked but they seated me outside (weather was warm so was fine). I had pizza con funghi & it was like a proper pizza should be. Staff was friendly and all the food i saw on other tables looked delicious. Staff happy to pack up food if you didn’t finish it too.

We went to Devon on our first trip since lock down Mar 2020 and stumbled across this place. Superb food and beautiful Italian management. I am a wheelchair user which was not a problem although I don't believe there were accessible toilets in the restaurant itself. It will be such a shame when this place grows out of its obvious future success.Many thanks

We decided to have a takeaway as we are still being cautious with the pandemic. The staff were incredibly kind and were welcoming. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The portion sizes were reasonable as well, with most of the family even struggling to finish it all. I would without a doubt recommend to anyone visiting Taunton.

How come I haven’t found this place before? Only found it as I was Googling places to eat outside due to current Covid restrictions. We were given a warm welcome and took a seat in the courtyard. Menus are on the board inside so I took photos. I went for the pizza and my friend chose a pasta dish. Meals were hot, tasty and good portions. My pizza had a lovely crispy authentic base. Prices not bad either. We will definitely return.

We have had a few takeaways from this place over lockdown as we always loved going into the place in normal times! I have to say the food is always fab. We had another tonight for our anniversary meal. The garlic bread is absolutely to die for. And the calzone is so light , I usually find them so stodgy and hard to eat but it’s lush! And your desserts - we had lemon cheesecake and banoffee roulade - were just heavenly! Keep up the good work and we hope to see you after lockdown.

We had a three course meal, service was good, the friendness was first class and we had a great evening at home with lovely food hot and very tasty.

We visited on Friday evening as we were staying in Taunton for the weekend. Came across this place on TripAdvisor. The service was fantastic, our server was very accommodating and had great knowledge of the dishes and was really helpful in allowing me to alter some ingredients to accommodate a vegan diet. The food is all freshly prepared and was absolutely outstanding. My only suggestion would be to dim the lighting in the evenings to create more of an ambience. We would definitely return if in the area again.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming setting. Just be prepared for the killer blow dealt by a bowl of spaghetti with a fantastic fish sauce. Not any sauce you’ll have had before. A sauce that is so fine you are compelled to order some to take away for later. The lasagne and garlic bread were both exciting. We won’t be coming back to Taunton for a while, but when we do, we’ll be phoning to book a table.

We travelled several hours to Taunton as part of a journey to the South West. Even though we were late and only arrived 15 minutes before they closed after lunch, we were welcomed and treated to a lovely meal and great, friendly service. We’ve been here numerous times, and every time the food and atmosphere is amazing. Throughout lockdown we had takeout, and even that was still delicious and very authentic! It’s a lovely family run business, and nothing is ever too much trouble (if you want to add or remove different ingredients.) I would recommend if you can to sit outside in the courtyard, and enjoy some of their amazing food and great wine!

I first went here with a group of friends in January and had a lovely meal, so much that I wanted to return.We went here for lunch on my birthday,myself, my partner and his mum. We ordered wine for the table and all ordered different mains and deserts. All 3 pasta dishes were amazing! The dishes look very simple when they come out but taste amazing. I sampled everyone's and can say they were all very tasty, having ordered from both their regular menu and their specials. The tiramsu was lovely and so is their icecream.The staff were very helpful and were happy to let us sit outside and pit up a parasol for us, the food came out in a timely matter and the price is reasonable.Will most certainly be going back again and would recommend

When booking the owner was honest enough to tell us that he was not sure how it would go and what would be available from the menu. As we were just visiting Taunton and with these uncertain times We decided to take a chance. We were more than pleasantly surprised, we dined alfresco in the court yard under an old olive tree and the food was exceptional, antipasto and marinated olives to start followed by a seafood linguine that was simply amazing. The tiramisu was great (enourmous) The service was excellent and very friendly and attentive, The price was also very reasonable, It will definitely be our first choice restaurant next time we visit Taunton. We used Little Italy for a take away this evening. Had not realised that they do a delivery service in the evening and highly delighted they do I had spaghetti bolognese and my wife spaghetti with cream and prawns both of which arrived in good order and still warm enough to eatIt looked and tasted authentic and we were very pleasedDefiantly will use and order againWell done this is a great find to have authentic Italian available

Had dinner last evening with 4 friends.Lovely aroma as you come in .Place is small but cosy , every table was occupied whilst we were there.Garlic bread with cheese to begin , then 2 of us had special linguini with fish sauce , really tasty , 1 had lasagne which looked yummy , 1 had risotto , 1 had chicken & garlic penne.We were nicely full after these delights, but 4 of us squeezed in a dessert.It has an enticing menu which would certainly tempt me to return to explore more.

Unassuming surroundings, the focus is on great food. Not trying to have a huge unrealistic menu. Concentrate on pasta and pizza. Wine is excellent along with the coffee. Never eaten better Italian food than this outside of Italy.
