The best restaurants serving Default food in Charterlands South Hams South West

Jackie and Jeremy are exceptional hosts who made us feel almost part of the family. I have a painful back condition, so I particularly liked the very comfortable beds in a very pleasant room. We had delicious fat free cooked breakfasts with lots of choice of fruit and cereals, etc. The Farm is situated in a very scenic part of Devon, just 1 1/2 miles from Kingsbridge. Do try this B & B - you will not be disappointed!

What a little hidden gem and a must to visit. The chef is amazing and Paul is a fantastic host with his ghost tales and history of the place, built in 1180! Surrounded by thatched cottages and smugglers cove. Will definitely be returning! Thank you all for a fabulous Sunday at the Journeys End.

Amazing decor and scenery. Had a fabulous 3 course meal with friends. Canapés in the cocktail bar first and finished with coffee and petit fours. All dishes were really lovely and so nicely presented

What a fabulous place! I spent the best part of a day there. Do the audio guided tour of the building then enjoy the huge garden.

Gastrobus has definitely gone downhill . Prices gone up - £11 for a mediochre hotdog . Pitta pocket with brisket not much better and more expensive . For two lunches with hot drinks it was over £30 . The breakfast menu looked better but the lunch menu options weren’t great . Shame as was good . Won’t be using again even though we’re regulars at bantham

First time here and the walks were fantastic I popped in for food and Lewis was fantastic friendly chatty will definitely be re booking to come back

Called in whilst on holiday and had the red Thai curry, absolutely awful, just a few small cubes of spicy beef and rice it was just so dry, It came with 2 poppadoms which were okay. We visited the pub previously and just had a drink which was fine, but I won’t go back there again even for a drink after being served with such substandard food. Very disappointed.

Fish and chips and a pint with a stonking view, before the crowds. Recommend.

This is our go to beach for family get togethers. Plenty of parking, loos, stunning beach and the brilliant venus cafe! Great coffee and milkshakes. A bee line is always made for the delicious pastys and the fish and chips are great quality and very tasty. There is plenty of choice for veggies and vegans as well as meat eaters. Everything is locally sourced and ethically produced., which makes it taste even better 😋. The staff are always so friendly and helpful even when they are run off their feet busy. This is a great place.

Simply dreadful fish and chips. The fish was thin, very dry with a strange tasting. unpleasant 'batter'. After one mouthful, we didn't eat any of it. Their poster says that if the food is not good, please let us know. So I did and I was simply told that she would give the feedback to S&J Fisheries!

£2 deposit for each glass is a bit odd, especially as it forces you to queue twice - once to get your drinks, then again to get your deposit back. Also, make sure your payment at the car park in Bigbury goes through and you receive an emailed receipt. The £60 parking fine made this an expensive day out (not the pub's fault obviously). Unfortunately RCP Parking have taken away any desire I might have had to revisit.

What a lovely spot. Beautiful garden on a beautiful day but I’m sure it’s a great bar when it’s chilly or wintery. I gather this has just changed hands but what good hands they passed to. We all had a different pint. Every one was immaculate. This is a pub of the highest order. We didn’t eat, so I can’t vouch for that. A great place to start or finish a walk. Thoroughly recommend.

A very friendly local pub which is especially great if you have a 4 legged friend with you We stopped for a few drinks and some food, and the food was very good, beef nachos, some shrimp and a ploughman's was all so very good. Definitely worth a visit.

We waited 25 minutes for our drinks. We ordered via the app to our table: a mojito, two beers, and two lemonades. I went to ask how much longer it would take, and only then did they start preparing the drinks. We received a mojito from a can, without lime or mint because they didn’t have any – £9.30. What is this supposed to be? I do not recommend this place!!!
