Great selection of quality sandwiches. Picked up lunch for a party of 7 and everyone loved them. Sadly all were pre made and custom building not available, but nevertheless great
I visited Taco-Macho for a family birthday recently. The restaurant is in the upstairs of the Cuckoo Taproom so plenty of of opportunity for pre and post dinner drinks. Gustavo, Taco Macho owner, is a really generous host, his food really is utterly delicious and I could probably eat there every day! :) Everything is very reasonably priced and the restaurant space is small and chilled. There is also the option to have your food in the pub downstairs. Highly recommended!
Absolutely the best and quality breakfast in Exeter.
Do not walk past, clean spacious and friendly, not often i would write such a review but very happy. Value for money. Tasty.
Service was great, very polite, very enthusiastic
Food was nothing short of stunning, very much agree with the comment of "Michelin-Star quality at under £30".
Had 3 courses (Crispy Whitebait, Steak Sandwich, Chocolate Brownie) and a drink for £21. Very good for price
Very suprised by the presentation, very excited for future generation of chefs and front of house!

The squash was undercooked and lacked flavour, and the eggs had a vinegary taste that was slightly off-putting. That said, the turmeric chai was excellent—rich, balanced, and full of warmth. There was a 45-minute wait for food, which felt excessive, though I appreciate the constraints of a small kitchen.

I can not rate this restaurant enough. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The manager really kindly and unexpectedly treated us to a drink as it was my husbands birthday, which really took us aback. The mixologist made me a delicious amaretto sours, best one I have had. He also recommended a rum and mixer to me, which was delicious.
For starters, I had a garlic, spinach, and ricotta gnudi, which was like a foodgasm. It was unbelievably good. My husband had chorizo and prawns, which he enjoyed. We then had pork belly roast, which was equally as delicious. I loved the range of vegetables that came with it, and the sides were also lovely. The portion size was very generous and really good value for money. Unfortunately, we were too full for pudding, but I could see from others that they were also generous portions and looked lovely. The staff were attentive, friendly , and looked super smart. I loved that this restaurant was classy without being pretentious. I would highly recommend Exe Restaurant.
Visited with my brother on a rainy Saturday. We enjoyed the cathedral views as we ate.
The servers were very helpful - they took the time to check the ingredients for their milkshakes to see if they were suitable for me. I was really glad to see they were made from ‘natural’ pure as opposed to syrups as the syrups normally aggravate my ibs badly. So I got a real treat!
We also ordered two fry ups - my only critique is there was a huge amount of beans which filled us up too much that we struggled to manage the toast. I think half the beans would have been perfect portion wise. It was all freshly made and delicious. I can’t wait to visit again!
