Absolutely the best and quality breakfast in Exeter. Do not walk past, clean spacious and friendly, not often i would write such a review but very happy. Value for money. Tasty.

Lovely independent coffee shop!

Wonderful cafe environment to have a chilled coffee, food and cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good Turkish coffee and menu. One of the best places to relax and eat lunch in central Exeter. Very impressed.

We stopped here for breakfast before travelling back to Harrow. I would definitely recommend them. The avocado on toast was Divine. The coffee was good and the service excellent. Don’t miss this little gem

Lovely design, lovely Turkish breakfast and best ever iced chai latte! Everyone very nice and helpful and I can’t recommend it enough. You need to visit and see.

Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. But you don’t get exactly what’s in the menu. Smoothies are actually milkshakes, and ‘grilled’ chicken salad was made with ‘fried’ chicken : (

March Cafe House has really tasty coffee and is open later than most other independents around the high street. Great decor and lovely staff too. They also have oat milk and other plant milks.

Coffee was good and so was the service. The first time we came we love the ambience and service from the staff & the coffee so decided to return to try the breakfast. But that was disappointing , for £14.5 Turkish breakfast we just got some cheese 2 small pieces of meat and some sauces and a basket of bread - it was a super tiny portion of everything (except for the bread) and not that great

Wow wow wow.... what a lovely cafe. Heard it was newly opened and so came with my mates. Wasn't disappointed at all! Initially only wanted to buy a doughnut to takeaway, but changed my mind once I ordered a Turkish coffee. It was 👌 my mate even ordered a Turkish tea, and that was great too. But mainly the doughnut, my word, I don't know if it was homemade was it was definitely great! They had several flavours but I opted for the coffee and the amount of filling you had was a lot and it didn't feel sickly either. The coffee and cake, etc might come with 1 or 2 Turkish delights so this was a nice addition. The place is tidy and bright, helped by the furniture, but the staff is also friendly and know their stuff 👌 I would come here again even if I just wanted to come here for a doughnut to takeaway!

I orderd a lemonade, and scrambled eggs .. was delicious I asked for a skinny milk but thay didn’t have !! I saw the doughnut , i think it’s the signature there , fortunately I didn’t get some this time I will return to taste it 🤍🤍

Best doughnut in the world, An absolute gem their place we found it online and tried the doughnuts as they were fresh and oh my god they are amazing, and I also had a lovely toasties with poached eggs the staff are very friendly an welcoming will definitely be coming here every week.

Fabulous sandwiches and high quality coffee. The place is dog friendly, the service is super nice and professional. If you need a grab a bite whilst in Exeter, that’s the place to go!

No doubt the café is nice, the food and coffee is great but after a visit near the close of day myself and some friends had some drinks then left. I returned 5 mins later to ask if I could use their bathroom where I was rudely shooed away by the main barista/possibly the manger/owner? Perhaps he forgot I had just spoken to and ordered from him not 10 mins previously, even so his manner and attitude was terrible even towards a non-paying customer. Horrible attitude for someone in "hospitality". Have had many delicious coffees and doughnuts but I won't be coming back. Pity.

I've tried every avo egg and toast in Exeter and this is BY FAR THE BEST. High quality organic eggs, ripe avocado, fresh sourdough and amazing veg and condiments. Smoothies and coffee not bad either!

Great food and drinks. They have really expanded the menu so there are now great options during the week and their weekend menu adds to that. Lots of choice and a range of lighter food items as well. The cakes are delicious and some good vegan options that do not lack any flavour. The doughnuts are really tasty but the little lemon meringue tarts they do are my favourite and it's always a lovely treat when they make some. Great atmosphere. This is my favourite place to go in the centre of Exeter and I fully recommend it.

This is the best coffee shop in Exeter. They really take care over their coffee. Edit: I'm back in there today so I will add that they usually have very good background music too, and the tables are convenient to work at. A further edit: obviously things have changed a bit with the pandemic but the coffee and doughnuts are still absolutely excellent, the takeaway service is well organised and I look forward to being able to work there again

Always really enjoy our brunches here, and it's always fun to guess what flavour donuts will be in! We often take home a box to have for later. The coffee is usually from crankhouse who source and roast great beans so the coffee is always excellent too. A good mix of tables to either relax, do a bit of work or have a quick meeting as well.

Visited March Coffee on a Sunday morning, welcoming staff and atmosphere, had brunch and a drink. Definitely recommended for a pit stop while shopping. Lots of options for all requirements.

Best coffee in Exeter. Great food (the toasted Reuben sandwich is to die for) and friendly service too. Worth a stop if you’re even remotely in the vicinity! Follow on with a quick visit to the Hospiscare Book & Vintage Shop a couple of doors down - something of an Aladdin’s Cave.

Real gem of an independent cafe. While the coffee is excellent the real selling point for me is the food. Specifically the bakerey goods and brunch menu. Fantastic breakfast food coupled with perfectly made doughnuts and pristine cakes is a winning combination.

I ordered lots of doughnuts for our wedding, great communication with Paul who was keen to accommodate our needs and also arrange delivery. The doughnuts turned up on time looking absolutely fabulous! All of our guests commented on how beautiful they looked with their different decorations and also how amazing they tasted! The polite and attentive service was let down by the quality of the product. We ordered two sandwiches which were pre-made. These were toasted and delivered to our table promptly. My vegan option was dry and largely tasteless. My first impression was that the construction of my lunch had prioritized form over taste with more mind paid to the quantity of the contents than their culinary worth. Even the hummus (hommus, houmous...) didn't pass the most basic inspection as it lacked taste, consistency, and sufficient moisture to bind it together. The second sandwich was a vegetarian option with goats cheese. Again little attention appeared to have been paid to the quantity/quality balance with the strength of the cheese overpowering the remainder of the ingredients. Lesson one for this eatery is definitely less-on. I'd be happy to pay the same for a smaller portion that is less of a test of my fortitude and endurance, and more of a feast for my senses. Although I'm leaving its commentary to last like all good desserts, I consumed this sweet treat first. I'm referring to the vegan jam donut. Overall this was a good effort that was compromised by excess. The donut was a good consistency with a well balanced contrast between the light crunch of the sugared shell and the fluffy fried treat's interior - but the whole experience was diminished by the jam filling. Too much darling, too much. As it's a coffee shop I should at least address this element too, but due to the volume of the above review I shall leave it to this... In Exeter today you can get better coffee, in greater quantities, for less money. May return for vegan, cinnamon and sugar donuts should they ever make their way to the front counter, but certainly not for any other reason.
