Nice, cosy cafe with speciality product. We haven’t tried anything else than coffee, but can definitely reconned it.

This coffee shop has been my favourite find this year! The coffee is exceptional, the staff are so friendly and there is always a great selection of cakes. I finally tried the brunch menu on my birthday and will forever regret not having tried it sooner. Would recommend the mushroom and creamy tarragon toast - uses fresh bloomer bread and tasted fabulous, and any of the pancakes for a sweeter tooth. The pancakes were so fluffy and easily the best pancakes I’ve had.

Food was great, service was amazing. Tried to go about an hour after opening, but they were full and no seats were available, so decided to come back later. Ended up going back around 15mins before they stopped serving food, which meant they were running out of a lot of things, which is understandable. One of the dishes was sold out(which they notified us before we sat down), by the time we decided what we wanted, one of the dished we picked was also sold out. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, which looked amazing and tasted really good. We asked for a bit more of the pistachio crumb on one of our dishes, unfortunately they had used the last of it, but they were kind enough to refund our drink (tangerine iced tea, which was delicious) because of this and the other dishes being unavailable. We really weren't expecting this, and they really didn't have to since we knew we got there quite late, but it was much appreciated.

Had the pancetta pancakes & avocado lime toast with pickled egg. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Could tell it was all fresh to order-fresh cut strawberries with pancake (as an extra) were great. Latte was one of the best I’ve ever had! Servers were polite and chatty. Will definitely return to support a local cafe.

This is my favourite cafe in Exeter, great atmosphere and lovely staff, food is freshly made and they have super tasty options if you're vegan /GF. Sometimes you have to wait for a table, but they manage the queue well, and so you can relax / have a drink whist waiting and the staff let's you know when it's your turn for a table, and it's always worth the wiat.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, the oat milk though was very untasty and destroyed the taste of the coffee so I had to throw it away. Won't be back because of that, until of course they change oat milk.

Had an exceptional coffee here, and led me to read their food menu. So pleased I was convinced. Had the butternut squash with cream cheese and homemade pesto, I usually go for a non vegetarian meal but this was amazing. My friend chose the mushrooms and was really impressed too. Friendly staff who made us feel very welcome, with exceptionally quick service. Will definitely visit again, just to try the pancakes that looked equally amazing.

The press house is my little hidden gem in Exeter. It is a disgrace to visit or live in Exeter without having had the brunch and coffee here. I've been coming every other weekend for an entire year, enjoying their Sunday brunch - and I have not been let down once! Food is arguably the best breakfast I've had in Exe, varied and creative vegan and non vegan dishes. Coffee is always perfectly brewed. Food is excellent value for money, about £12 for a fantastic meal at brunch time. Despite the food being flawless, the service somehow manages to top it. The owner is extremely friendly and polite - the daydream of every small coffee shop goer. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, I've found myself spending 3 or 4 hours here having originally come for a "quick" breakfast. I cannot recommend Press House enough, the highlight of Exeter.

I love this place. The food, sweet or savory, is amazing. The coffee & hot drinks are great and the cold drinks are also spot on (especially the peach ice tea 🤤). It has a really great team. It is small and sometimes you have to wait a little for a table but it is rare we can never get one. It is harder for larger groups as there are only a couple of tables big enough. It is always worth the wait. A proper independent place. I recommend it, but not so much I can then never get a spot 😆!

I’ve not long moved to Exeter and I’d yet to find a really great coffee. This place did not disappoint, the best oat flat white I’ve had in the city, really smooth coffee and perfectly texturised milk. Great selection of vegan cakes too, I had the lemon drizzle, super moist and scrummy! I’ll be returning, thank you!

My favourite café in the South West. The best, most consistent flat whites and incredible vegan brunch, that my meat-eating friends have also been blown away by. The vegan feta and pesto is my favourite. The staff are so genuine and always remember people - always feels like going down to the local friendly morning-pub. It has a relaxed interior with a sun-drenched front and cosy back section. Can be really busy between 10:30 and 11am while students are in town, but there's Crankhouse and Sacred Grounds a short walk away if it's full.

Lovely little cafe, very nicely decorated and set out with lots of seating. Unfortunately changed coffee beans since my previous visits and we both agreed that its a shame as it used to be fantastic coffee, now its just regular coffee, no different from high street coffee. We were very disapointed, the coffee was ok, staff still great but the magic was gone. We left and started the search again for a great coffee in Exeter.

This is a gem... lovely staff, great coffee, delicious food and some quirky cards and niknaks. Relaxed vibe. Just had a stack of fluffy pancakes heaped with rhubarb, custard and something lemony, with a flat white of richness and depth. Little touches, like being brought a glass of water with my coffee shows a European understanding of coffee drinking which is hugely appreciated. Bravo!

Definitely the best brunch in Exeter and the hosts aren't so bad either. The pancakes are to die for. Expect a super friendly warm welcome, and some really, really tasty chocolate cookies. I have to stop myself buying their vegan cinnamon buns too often but they are TOO GOOD. Light and fluffy and super tasty. Me and my friend are no strangers to brunch and love trying new places. I'd been for coffee before but not a sit down meal. It's quite small but not overly busy, and we had the pancake stacks with some of the speciality lattes. We're not vegan but I like trying vegan alternatives incase I ever want to make the switch.
