Very friendly with such a nice atmosphere the inside is cosy with an amazing view outside and with extra seating outside. The hot chocolate was one of the best we have had locally. It also has amazing artwork on display. But for me the friendly faces when u walked in was the best part.

Recently been searching out community cafe's on my travels. Menus tend to be a bit more original and food freshly cooked from local ingredients at a fair price. Mulberry Tree served up a lovely Sour Dough toastie plus salad washed down with a mug of tea. Friendly staff. Nice clean, comfortable surroundings.

We had lunch here,my daughter is gluten free and requires vegan food, perfect a soup that’s both and a warm gluten free roll ,all delicious . Apparently they make a homemade soup that fits that bill everyday, there were several other choices she could have had too.I had the special,a fantastic Croc Madame with a hearty salad , and so reasonably priced. The cafe is clean and bright, the service swift and friendly. Would highly recommend and so close to town. Will be returning soon.

This little cafe was down the street from our hotel, we stopped in while we waited for our laundry to finish at the launderette down the street. The house made soup and panini were really great and the owner was as pleasant as he could be. The outdoor seating is in a beautiful garden and smelled divine with the flowers in bloom. It’s just behind the community center and it’s quite obvious that they really care about their customers.

Having attended an excellent self-management course for people with Parkinson's Disease at Exeter Community Centre I volunteered to engineer a reunion for the lovely new friends we had made on the course. Since I had noticed that there was a small cafe just to the side of the centre, it seemed an ideal venue to suggest meeting for lunch. Having ascertained that we were all to attend I telephoned the owner to explain what we hoped to achieve and any special requests for members of our group. Terry could not have been more welcoming or helpful and my slight anxiety about being responsible for arranging the lunch was completely allayed. He wasn't quite sure how best to seat fourteen together in a small area but assured me he would sort something. Indeed he did, when we arrived he had managed to create a long table which accommodated all the group and each member was welcomed on arrival. Our lunch was imaginative and delicious, as was the coffee and gorgeous home-made cakes ( I think thanks due to Judith) Due to the nature of our condition some of us experience difficulties with balance, mobilty and dexterity, which can make eating out quite a worrying exercise. However Terry and Judith were so natural and thoughtful that I am sure we all felt relaxed and inconspicuous. I particularly was appreciative of the efficient and unobtrusive way that Terry collected the dues from each individual or couple. We plan a second get-together at the end of April and hopefully will be able to sit in the lovely courtyard to enjoy our meal. We might even get to see the peregrine falcons which inhabit the impressive church steeple which over sees the picturesque garden. Thank you Judith and Terry for creating such a delightful venue in which our group could relax and catch up without concern for the daily dificulties of this condition. We hope to enjoy your hospitality again soon.

This is a lovely little cafe set within a community centre. The staff are wonderful and care so much about the little place. While off the beaten track, it is certainly worth popping in for a coffee and a slice of fresh, homemade cake at a very reasonable price.

This made a nice refreshing change.... I attended a training session at the Exeter Community Centre and located within the building was this great little cafe'. Its not going to serve you up a three course meal, but does a good range of snacks and specials of the day, and the coffee is pretty good as well, well far better than the stuff we had in the training room. If you're going to the comunity centre for training etc, forget your packed lunch and head here.

Bright environment, friendly staff and homemade food rather than just microwaveable. It seems to be one of those rare places you can go in for a peaceful sit down. The garden is beautiful, especially in the summer! Both the current and previous management have done an exceedingly good job in creating an inviting place. The location is just off the centre of town which tends to draw the local people in more; this has created a homely atmosphere which I can only recommend.
