Great food and service, recommend the baps!

I popped into this cafe recently with my dog and had a lovely experience. I had a sausage and egg bap that really hit the spot coupled with a hot chocolate. Honestly the hot chocolate was one of the nicest I have had in a while, not instant powder with hot water like others, or if it was, it didn't seem like it! Jimmy seems like a lovely bloke too, I didn't talk much (that was on me!) but the other customers that came in were obviously regular visitors which was lovely to see.

Great place! One of the best cafes in st thomas / cowick st. Food and drink consistently good, great customer service, very helpful when the customers need any extra assistance. Just lovely people who run it!

THE best tuna melt panini and BLT you will get in Exeter!! Ive tried a few places and I'm fussy! Jess and Jimmy are super friendly. The coffee shop is such an asset to St Thomas.

A very old school welcoming place. I had a pot of tea & a bacon bap. The bacon was fried & not microwaved and was very tasty. Highly recommend 😃

I stumbled across this cafe and it’s a hidden treasure. I had the best hot chocolate ever (pay the extra 50p and you get to experience heaven). I had a sausage and hash brown bap and it was really nice! Really friendly staff and chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Jess and Jimmy’s is the best place to lunch in Exeter!! Food is always delicious. The hot chocolate is the best i’ve ever tasted.

If I was stuck on a deserted island, the only thing I’d need is Jimmys iced coffee.

We love this cafe,Jimmy and Jess make you feel so welcome. My sister Wendy and I go regularly, When they had to close for certain reasons we was stuck where to go, as there's nothing that comes close to Jimmy and Jesies cafe.

Best place to get daytime food in exeter. Super welcoming staff, the best sausage baps around and filled with pretty greenery. Also, baby and pet friendly. It's no wonder you see the same friendly faces rain or shine.

Friendly, welcoming, comfortable and tasty. These are just a few words I used as a tucked Into a soft bacon roll at Jimmy's Cafe. As we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a hello. They also walked us through the menu and any deals they have on. They are even happy to talk about the coffee they use, and what taste notes go with them. You also get a choice of regular or large coffee, which some other coffee shops don't offer. As we sat in the comfortable seating area (chairs with backs!), the coffee and food came out hot and was very tasty. Don't settle for a pretentious over-priced coffee. Go to Jimmy's Cafe for a warm welcome, tasty coffee and delicious food.

Glad that Jimmy's is open again, I've missed it during the pandemic. Perfect veggie sausage in a bap, great value for money, not pretentious, great coffee and most importantly very friendly service. Dogs are welcome, lovely plants everywhere and Jimmy is lovely, he always checks in with you, puts a lot of effort in when preparing the food.

Jimmy has been making great coffee for over 20years even before it was “fashun”. If you want to taste fabulous coffee without the pretentious faffing around then look no further. This is a honest approach to coffee, cakes and lunch. Their cakes are gorgeous - millionaire shortbread and rocky road to die for. They caters for vegans not because it’s trendy but because it offers people choice. This café is part of our ‘village’. Thank you both for keeping us sane during lockdown.

Get staff good value and they can do vegan food ad well.

A good menu selection and all reasonably priced. Jimmy is always really friendly. Orders can be made in person, via Facebook or by Google Maps. I can highly recommend the veggie bacon bap with a hash brown, the tiffins, and the millionaire shortbread. Feels great to support a local business as well.

Went in ther today for the first time as I work a few doors down. I ordered a cappuccino with extra shot and a bacon roll. I can honestly say it was the best coffee and bacon roll I've ever had. This place will definitely be my regular now. I was so shocked at the huge amount of good thick bacon was in the roll. Very delicious

I love Jimmy's cafe, lush little local cafe. Very chilled and Jimmy is very friendly. I had such a nice coffee from them too.

Always enjoy Jimmy's cafe, small, friendly, and at the heart of the st thomas community in Exeter. Nice home made soups, cakes, bacon sarnies, and usually someone there I know! Good to visit on one's own, with friends, or busibess meetings. Jimmy collects cat pouches and used felt tip pens for recycling and a charity project, and the cafe serves too as a venue for an anxiety and depression club sometimes. Oh, great cappuccinos too! 😊

As a member of a monthly coffee morning organised by the local branch of the Coop Funeral Service for the bereaved relatives I attended the local Church Hall in Cowick Street, Exeter last week only to find that access was unavailable due to the community hall having the floor serviced. The CFS staff very quickly took me and other attendees a short way over to Jimmy's Coffee shop where we were made most welcome and took over about half of the cafe. Excellent range of coffees, etc to choose from and enjoyed the morning thanks to the proprietor (don't know if it was Jimmy) and the staff of CFS. Well done.👍

Jimmy's is definitely one of my go-to cafes! It's simple and slightly mismatch appearance is very endearing, and everyone is welcome. Lots of lovely plants, and quirky artwork around the place. There is a small selection of toys and books for children to play with in between some sofas, which my son always appreciates. Jimmy and the other two ladies that help out are really friendly. The cake slices are very delicious, and it has a great range of coffees/frappes and other drinks. Reasonable prices too. There is hot food available, and sandwiches- kids portions available. I love the vege-sausage burger myself. Sometimes there is homemade soup available too! There's also free WiFi available, and dogs are welcome. Only downside is that sometimes it has unpredictable opening/closing times, but if you're local, that's not a problem really! - Amber & Lucian :)

Three stars is generous after hobbling out of there stinking of grease because of the cheap chairs and lack of extractor fan.

Friendly service and tasty food and drinks. Soup was particularly tasty and lovely on a cold windy day. Welcoming to dogs and kids which made for a nice family lunch.

As well as the great food and drink it is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes Jimmy's so special. My wife feels very comfortable having lunch there on her own.

My mum and I visited Jimmy’s this morning, very friendly atmosphere. My mum had a bacon sandwich, lots of good quality bacon, I had a falafel, hummus and spinach panini which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going again 😊

Excelĺent friendly service and good selection of coffee, tea and food - particularly love the Chai Latte and Sausage Bap and I can recommend the crispy bacon roll!. Great place to chill; has toilet facilities and also has Wi-Fi. Outdoor seating when weather allows, comfy chairs and sofa by the window, more conventional cafe tables and chairs inside. Child friendly.

Lovely cosy café! Coffee is decent, though a bit on the bitter side (Italian style, me thinks) and the bacon roll I had was lush. Not sure if it's Jimmy himself who is making the drinks/food, but he's always do friendly and happy. Great place to take children too as there's toys and books for them!

This is a great little cafe that keeps it simple and does it well. Excellent coffee, friendly service. Everyone is welcome including small children and dogs too. Free WiFi great for meetings or solo working. Comfortable seating and quirky artwork. Any coffee and a bacon bap is a very good deal for a fiver. Yum!

Just had a delicious veggie sausage and hash brown bap. Perfect for vegans. Staff at Jimmys are really attentive and service is quick, even when they’re busy. Good coffee is hard to find but Jimmy’s has got it!

Great chillax atmosphere @ young Jimmys cafe (everyone's younger than me) - very friendly gentleman & helpful staff - always a pleasure to just wind down there Ha ha & wind my neck down - great location - especially as it's a first stop on the way to town - GET ON!!!!
