Great place to stay only a short walk from the Roman baths. Rooms were comfortable and clean and staff was very polite. The breakfast is also well worth it.

Good drink range and friendly helpful staff.

5 Estrellas debido al 'Camarero'? que nos atendió fuera (en la 1 calle o 2a visita) , siendo un 'políglota' (9 idiomas fluidos) , Y dando Excelente Servicio. Haber visitado por lo menos DOS VECES (Tanto mi cumpleaños y mi cumpleaños de hermanas menores (sentado en interiores - noviembre) , y cumpleaños de mamás (sentado al aire libre - abril). No puedo recordar el año real - Mamá falleció en diciembre de 2022 , por lo que fue ANTES de esa fecha en ambas ocasiones. MEJOR COMIDA DE CALIDAD QUE HE TENIDO, también el mejor servicio de la historia. "Muy caro", pero la comida es tan buena que iría allí mucho más si pudiera permitírmelo. Tan impresionado estaba por el camarero 'políglota', que me inspiró a aprender 'más idiomas', ahora 'sé' un poco de cada uno, de entre 50 - 74 idiomas, de todo el mundo de 6 continentes, y de lugares que nunca visitaré debido a la falta de tiempo, dinero y nivel de aptitud física de salud (ahora más de 60 años y parcialmente discapacitado en este punto en 2025).

Walked past this nice looking little place on our way back down the hill from the famous Royal Crescent and it looked a likely spot for dinner. We popped in later on a Friday evening and it was busy and buzzy and they had a table for two so we were soon ordering and up to a point everything was fine - we ordered four of their small plates and the food was fine though quite pricey for tapas-style dishes but the young waitress was charming and attentive and then... It all went quiet. We sat for at least 20 minutes with no enquiries about whether we would like a dessert or another drink or anything so when the waitress did appear and we asked for the bill we declined the service charge. I think they were just too busy and didn't have the staff to cope but we ate in Porta in Chester recently and the tapas were better and cheaper and no-one forgot about us.

Tuvimos una velada perfectamente espléndida de delicias gastronómicas. Tuve el entrante de Remolacha (al igual que mi esposo) seguido por el Halibut con mi esposo eligiendo el Cordero todos los cuales fueron cocinados / preparados a la perfección y bellamente presentados. El personal era amable y muy atento. Sin duda volveremos. Una pequeña nota, por desgracia, estábamos sentados cerca de una pareja que pensó que es bastante apropiado para llevar a cabo una conversación de negocios en su teléfono en la mesa durante más de 10 minutos a las 10 de la noche, mientras que los que estaban alrededor estaban tratando de disfrutar del agradable ambiente relajante. I was genuinely looking forward to eating here — the food was decent, the ambiance pleasant, and the staff friendly enough. But then came the magical disappearing wallet act, cleverly disguised as a service charge. At no point was I informed that a 12.5% "optional" service charge would be added to the bill — not on the menu, not verbally, and certainly not before they took payment. It was quietly included in the total, and the card machine handed over with a smile, as if nothing had happened. Like a pickpocket who whispers "I’m taking your money now," but does it while you’re distracted by a nicely plated tiramisu. This isn’t hospitality — it’s dishonesty by omission, and it borders on fraudulent practice. If a charge is optional, it must be clearly disclosed before payment and not sneakily added in the hope that no one will notice. That’s not gratuity — that’s gratuity theatre, performed in the dark. To be clear: service charges are fine if disclosed. But this restaurant opted for concealment over clarity, leaving me feeling duped rather than dined. Until they fix this, I’d advise checking your bill very carefully — and maybe bringing a magnifying glass and a barrister just in case. #StealthTax #ServiceChargeSwindle #OptionalMeansOptional

Came here to try it out due to the high reviews. It didn’t disappoint. The chocolate brownie ice cream was full of flavour and the texture of the ice cream was very smooth. £4 for a small Scoop is the only downfall I would give the store.

Mientras esperaba que mi novia terminara su viaje al Pequeño Zoológico (por todas las cuentas también vale la pena una visita) me topé con este pub rural, que es un edificio impresionante en sí mismo. Tomamos un café, utilizamos el wifi gratuito y luego volvimos a almorzar. La comida era excelente, el servicio era perfecto. Si viviéramos más cerca, seríamos habituales. Espero que corran la voz lo suficientemente rápido. Merece hacerlo bien.

LAS NIÑAS Y LAS MUJERES EVITAN ESTO. El hombre que trabaja en esta comida es una absoluta desgracia para la humanidad. Acabo de salir de allí y me siento violada por algunos de los comentarios que se hicieron uno de ellos siendo mírame a los ojos mientras rocía la salsa en tus papas fritas’ me llamó baby y me dijo que me quería, me preguntó a dónde iba después. FaceTimed mi mejor amigo solo para que dejara de hablar conmigo y ella me preguntó por mi ubicación. Luego comenzó a tratar de tocar mi teléfono y terminar la llamada. Nunca me han hecho sentir más incómodo. Esto también está situado cerca de un montón de bares y dios no permita que una chica joven fue allí para conseguir comida en su camino a casa Tengo todo tipo de corriendo por mi mente. Vil humano.

I'm very sad to say that Kushbu appears to be no more. This was probably the best Indian take-away in Bath but the website has disappeared and I have not been able to contact them by phone.

Limpio, servicio amable, buena selección de delicatessen / comida saludable, excelente café: hay mucho que me gusta de este lugar. Los rollos de salchicha son sobresalientes (hechos con mermelada de cebolla). Frittata también estaba delicioso. Buen descubrimiento.

Don’t bothing coming in the summer with children that need to sit in a high chair! Asked for a high chair to sit outside with, got given one and took it outside, made our order to then have a staff member come out and inform us no high chairs can be on the grass as it is uneven. I then asked if we were able to sit on the patio, and got told that also wasn’t allowed! The reasoning of an uneven surface was an excuse as we still couldn’t sit on the level patio! We had other children with us that wanted to play on the outside play area. We had no option but to move inside on a nice sunny day, the only reason we came to this pub was to sit out in the sun!!

This cafe is good, staff friendly. It ranks as number 2 out of all the Coffee#1's I've visited, and I've visited quite a few 🙂.
