Kushbu Bangladeshi & Indian Takeaway in Bath and North East Somerset

I'm very sad to say that Kushbu appears to be no more. This was probably the best Indian take-away in Bath but the website has disappeared and I have not been able to contact them by phone.

Avoid. Delivery driver never showed. Ordered at 7:30 and at 9:30 still no sign. Call Kushbu to be told they could not locate the driver and had no sensible solution apart from cancelling the order. Much better places to order from in Bath.

Been a regular customer for a while now... and have tried many places,. Happy to report on all fronts from flavour to portions and value, this is my favourite feeding station.. Nice chap on the counter and delivery guy. You must try it if your into Indian cuisine

I had some of the Lamb Bhuna and Chicken Vindaloo with onion bhajis and naan and really enjoyed it. The bhuna had lots of flavour and was really tasty. The lamb was so tender too. The vindaloo had less flavour in my view but I think that's to be expected as the heat can be quite over powering. It was very spicy but manageable. Naan and bhajis were good. Delivery driver was friendly and quick, it arrived ahead of schedule actually but he did say if was a quiet one so think we got lucky. Overall this will be my new go to for Indian takeaway.

Regularly order from the Kushbu. The food is always excellent and the service friendly and efficient. Nit always the quickest but always freshly cooked delicious curries.

Ordered from here Friday night, I had prawn madras and it was one of the best curries I've every had, loads of prawns, full and rich flavour, delicious. Definitely will be using on a regular basis.

Kushbu thankfully just re-opened food superb as always ,have used this takeaway since they opened a few years ago , never disappointed definitely the best takeaway in Bath. great family run business and great service

We had never tried this take away before and thought we’d give it a go. We were bitterly disappointed with the food. There was very little meat in my lamb curry and it was tuff. The food was flavourless and filled out with way too much onion. I’m sad to say this is the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. We won’t be using Kushbu again.

Great service, friendly staff and delicious food. Would highly recommend. We order from here regularly and wouldn’t go anywhere else it’s our favourite!

Ordered several meals from them and all been great. Unfortunately this time awful, food bland, poppadoms tasted burnt, every dish tasteless. Also a chicken Bhuna ordered and a korma was delivered,rang lots of times and got cut off, no email to contact them worked. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again. M. K. Bath

The staff at Kushbu cooked a delicious variety of main dishes and sides for a birthday celebration for 16 people. Complimentary poppadoms ( so light and crispy) and pickles and friendly delivery service. Extremely helpful, willing to cook earlier than normal and reliable; highly recommend.

We always use Kushbu as our go-to Indian takeaway, and haven’t used another since. Fresh, tasty food and always so much for your money! Plenty of good quality food in the portions and wonderfully polite staff both at the takeaway and running the deliveries.

Very tasty, well cooked, fresh tasting Indian food. Lots of flavour without being just hot, you can taste all of the individual spices and the flavour of the vegetables and the meat isn't drowned out, nothing bland about this food. And delivery in around 30nins. Very tasty indeed. How anyone can say this food is bland is just a whinging attention seeking, look at what I did, idiot.

My chicken balti was totally bland - flavourless, spiceless - full of onions - massive chunks of onion - very little chicken - corners being cut - cheap ingredients - I didn't order an onion balti, did I? My son's chicken jalfrezi was sooooo hot he could barely eat it - again - very few chicken pieces - inedible - chilli overkill My son's vegetarian curry was just chunks of potato - huge lumps of spud - should be renamed spud curry Chewy naan breads too - like rubber - dry as a bone - horrid Won't be ordering again - it was the same last time but I decided to give it one more try - finished - not cheap either

Have wanted to try this place for ages but sadly never could for one reason or another however we did Saturday night. A friend of my wife's recommended it and by god I'm glad she did. Opted for the Kushbu myself and was left wanting more, tasty as and just the right amount t of spice to Interest you but not kill you. Mind I cant say that for my friend who asked for the Naga extra hot and my god was it but still had its taste. All in a seriously great takeaway and will certainly be using them again.

If we could score a 6, we would. Best curry we have had in a long time. Really please we chose this one on our holiday in bath.

I never ever write reviews but this food I am just so happy with! I haven’t ordered an Indian food in bath before and just came across it on “just eat”, didn’t expect much just wanted a decent curry to be honest! It was ready in 20mins we picked it up, the gentleman was very polite and kind who served us! We drove home, and were so surprised! The food was just beautiful, the poppadoms were seriously the best either of us have ever had, the portions were quite huge too! They also gave us more poppadoms than we ordered and extra dips and stuff which was very kind! None of the food was greasy or oily which sometimes happens with curry and I wouldn’t have minded too much if it was, but it just felt so light fresh and generally amazing! I am just really impressed and delighted! I actually felt I had to phone them to say thankyou once we had finished and they were very kind and grateful on the phone! I would highly recommend and it’s was really reasonably priced! I can’t wait to enjoy the left over tomorrow! Super happy to have came across this place and will 100% order from there in the future I am now eager to taste their other dishes! Just to mention all the food we ordered was vegetarian! Overall very surprised and unexpectedly super impressed!!!! Thankyou very much we will both defo be back!!

great tasty food staff are very friendly good value for money I'd say the best Indian in bath it's a shame its just a takeaway &, not a restaurant. would highly recommend you wont be disappointed.

Have been in Bath several years and never had a decent Indian takeaway. This place used to be Curry Nights, so I was sceptical as that place was absolutely disgusting.

We ordered a takeaway for a family of four with robust appetites and for £58 we have ended up with enough for meals for two days each. Great value. But that’s not the best bit - the dishes were terrific. None of the greasy tasteless mush that is becoming too common from lazy Indian takeaway restaurants, each dish was head and shoulders above any other we’ve had delivered in Bath. Tasty, interesting flavours, some new dishes you don’t get elsewhere and a feeling that it was restaurant quality but done as a takeaway. The website for ordering and payment is streets ahead of other delivery vendors - easy to use, robust, extensive and confidence inspiring. I loved the little basket keeping totals while building the order. We signed up for PayPal as we put in our order, so everything will be glassy smooth next time. Oh and free poppadoms and pickles too.

I placed my order online which was super simple. I checked out with PayPal and the food arrived, so very easy and great food. Highly recommended.

Great value, great food. Good portions as well. I would recommend it to anyone. Spice levels are accurate, so will be more spicy than some restaurants but when it says medium, it is medium, its more others reduce their spice.

Had this takeaway tonight as we've heard great things about it we were not disappointed the food looked and tasted fresh flavour was great and there was plenty of it. We would for sure recommend and will be ordering again next time. X

The west side of Bath needs a decent curry place and after one visit to kushbu Id say its looking promising! Chicken dhansak and shashlick were really good, as were veg dishes. However garlic nan was rather plan and pillau rice needs to be better than plain rice with some spots of green food colouring! Service was prompt and friendly, food hot (I collected)

This was the first Indian takeaway I have had for several years as I prefer to go to a restaurant and have the food freshly served. Previous deliveries of Indian food have been very greasy and unappetising however having read good reviews on Kushbu I thought I would give it a try! Results were mixed I am afraid. Delivery took an hour which was specified on the website so I cant complain but the food was only lukewarm when it arrived. It had also spilled out of the containers and soaked through the paper bag in which it was delivered. Fortunately it was also in a plastic bag which saved a disaster! Having warmed it up again in the oven I did find the food to be reasonable and not as greasy as previous deliveries. Not quite a spicy as I would have hoped but a reasonable amount of meat and portion size was good. Feel I couldn't give more than 3 stars as overall it was only average on this occasion. Will try again!

Ordered from kushbu on numerous occasions now and it's always been of high quality. Delivering food on time and mantaining the quality of food is difficult, but kushbu manages to do it to a high standard. I have recommended kushbu to all my friends and family and they have become regulars. I have used other indian takeaways in bath but kushbu is a different breed to them, the quality of food is just unreal. Keep it up team kushbu.

Just ordered from Kushbu for the first time and could not fault it. The food was delicious. Will definitely order from here again and will be recommending it to friends and family.

An hour and a half later, the food turns up with no apology and stone cold. Shame, as very tasty food.

Ordered an Indian for myself and a friend and we were not disappointed! Everything was sooo yummy, definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering from kushbu again. 10/10!

Tasty curry, good value and reasonable delivery time for a Saturday night. Vegetarian options were sufficient and would be great if some paneer dishes were offered too!

What a fantastic, new take out! The food was simply fantastic, living close by we made use of the free delivery. They said an hour and it was delivered in an hour! The food had a fantastic taste, very impressed!
