Delicious pizza and friendly staff

This was my second time here after my friend from Italy recommended it and said “authentic Italian food”. We had lunch here to celebrate a birthday. Pizzas were AMAZING. They were so kind to surprise us with a tiramisu and a candle on it!🙏☺️. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely amazing. Family lunch with coeliacs. All of our pizzas were amazing and the 2 gluten free people were cared for very well. Reasonable price and lots of care was taken. Came highly recommended on all reviews and did not disappoint

This place is fab for Coeliacs. The gluten free pizza dough is out of this world, so like the muggle version, you'd not know. I had my first calzone since having to go gluten free 8 years ago! The only thing that would have improved our visit would have been if the Tiramisu had been gluten free. 👏🏼

After not being able to find a restaurant to eat at, we came across dough and could smell the incredible food as we walked towards the restaurant. Considering that they were busy, and we did not have a booking, they still managed to sit us down so we can enjoy the food! I would 100% recommend ‘dough’ to anyone who comes to bath!

This restaurant was truly a disappointment compared with its (now closed) Bristol counterpart. Food was passable were it not for the price tag. Having been to the Bristol restaurant I assumed the bath would be as good if not better but it wasn't even as good as some lower price bracket restaurants. Service was quite slow too which again we did not have when visiting a different one. It's a shame as I specifically booked here because I knew their brand meant quality but apparently not in the bath restaurants.

A great pizza find in Bath with many gluten free and coeliac friendly options. The pizzas came out well done and very quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in recommending different options. The dough was perfectly crisp and the right texture. Recommend this location as their other restaurant in kingmead square is often fully booked and reserved. Pizza is around £15 each but worth the spend due to the quality.

Excellent light and digestible pizza. Not the Neapolitan type, but crunchier. Unsurprising choice of doughs and good quality ingredients. Not very Italian atmosphere. Too bad about the really bad coffee (being a pizzeria we had hoped for a good espresso!)

We recently ate at this restaurant before watching a film, and our experience was exceptional. Our server, Dan, deserves high praise for his outstanding service. He ensured our orders were promptly taken care off and offered valuable food recommendations. Dan truly added great value to our experience here!

Amazing pizza and Cannelloni - we all loved our food! Also really good vegan options available! It would be nice if the heating could be turned on a little bit more.

Pizzas were absolutely outstanding; perfectly crispy and chewy. Toppings were generous, yet perfectly balanced without being overcrowded. Catered very well for Gluten Free as well! To top it off, the servers were very friendly and accommodating.

My 10 year old said it's too good to be real and we agree! The best pizza we've had outside of Italy!

Great pizzeria. We tried a ham and mushroom on traditional sourdough base. They produce 12in pizzas ideal for 2 people to share, with a thin base supporting ample topping. We then splurged on their strawberry, banana and nutella dessert pizza, which was delicious but way too much to eat! Service was really quick and very friendly staff.

Dough is a pizza restaurant with a massive range of bases of all kinds and varieties. There are 11 bases of which 5 are gluten free. They can be used on all the standard pizzas and specials if you ask. We had the smokey and meaty feast which were great. Not too much but didn't leave feeling hungry or particularly in need of a dessert.

Delicious and affordable pizza. I don't think I've ever finished a meal faster, the selection of pizza bases and toppings is wonderful, the staff is friendly and the food feels like a warm hug.

Very cool concept of being able to choose your dough. The concept came about as one of the Founder's was gluten intolerant and went on to research alternatives for many years. I tried the hemp dough with the partigiana pizza and worked quite well. As well as the tiramisu with Nutella which was interesting and worked fairly well together. Overall I would recommend trying this place if you are in Bath and like Pizza.

Very good pizza. We had a table of 7 and everyone was very happy. Good service. Only downside is the place has a lot of echo making conversation a bit of a challenge but I would return and recommend.

Had a Margherita pizza and as well as the seafood pizza. Both were made in front of us, and we received our food in about 10 mins. The server was easy going and there was plenty of seats available. Probably one of the best pizzas we’ve had!

Came for a birthday lunch with a fairly large group, staff were wonderful and accommodating as I know large groups can be challenging! All dietary requirements were no issue & the range of gluten free doughs is what drew us to here. Personally I thought the dough I had was quite hard but I think it was just down to personal preference. The pizza toppings were all delicious I just didn’t enjoy the actual dough/crust. I thought it was a tad on the expensive side too, for a ‘fancy’ pizza you’re looking at nearly £18. Despite this, I still had a lovely meal here & so did the whole party I was with. Would recommend & also we got a nice limoncello shot at the end!

Wonderful sourdough pizzas with a selection of different interesting bases from ancient grains such as kamut & spelt. Excellent service; friendly staff. Only disappointed that we weren’t allowed to take our well behaved dog. Otherwise I’d have definitely given it 5 stars. I don’t think restaurants consider how many potential customers they put off when instigating a No Dogs policy. Luckily on this occasion we were able to leave him with our friends’ dog at home and still walk into Bath.

Food was good, but the service horrible. We was a table of 9 yesterday and we sit outside, the waitress didn't bother to ask how is the food, they didn't ask if we want any others drinks in 3h , any desserts always we need to go inside and ask them for anything, wasn't busy at that time the waitress was sitting outside and watching a baby pigeon for 30 min , our table was dirty they didn't bother to take the empty plates and bottles. We are not coming back after this experience.

Best gluten free pizza I have ever had. We tried both the seaweed and turmeric base and both were delicious. Huge recommendation especially for celiacs or anyone else requiring a gluten free diet.

So first and foremost there are amazingly tasty gluten free options of the pizza base. I counted 5 different ones and we checked out just two - the sea weed and hemp - both totally awesome. I guess that no matter what you topping craving is going to be you are going to just love it. Pizzas arrived very fast, very fresh and even the look was so good. Pitty they don’t have their branch next to our home…or maybe better that way so I dont visit them too often which I definitely would ;) Location of the place is great - both inside and outside tables are a good pick. When outside in the square you get additional city vibe and at times some bands performing next to the point when streets meet. Place is not too expensive - regular budget I’d say.

Really fantastic pizza - love the customisable bases. The service was quick and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

I wanted pizza, but it seemed like a lot. I ordered Cannelloni and was very satisfied. I've been traveling in Ireland and England for a month, and it was the most delicious food I've ever had, and the white wine (sauvignon blanc) I drank with it was fantastic. I want to know the name of the wine~

Food is surprisingly good - we had the Bruschetta and one pasta - both taste good. The service is also good. A surprise in our venture.

I really enjoyed our meal here. It was sunny enough to eat outside. The pizza was excellent with the light sourdough bases meaning you get authentic flavour and light enough to eat the whole thing comfortably. There were a huge array of different bases available including different varieties of GF. No draught beer but the bottles were good. Wine quite pricey but overall strongly recommended

Really enjoyed lunch here today. Had a beautiful Mediterranean pizza with capers, olives, tuna and cherry tomatoes. Good base, lovely moist chewy crust. The Margarita was good too! Would like to come back for cocktails some night. If you're wanting good pizza in Bath you're spoilt for choice, but this is definitely one of the good places to go in the city.

We arrived in Bath hungry, and came to Dough on the advice of a lovely woman at the Theatre. We were not disappointed. Pared down, simple, decor let the food speak for itself. Staff are welcoming warm, and knowledgeable. We were tired and they still made us gently laugh. The food is amazing. The sometimes cliche of, 'authentic' is, here, very very true... with incredible taste, and flavourings that were new to us. A wonderful example of chefs who have a love and skill for food using simple, but great, ingredients, and delivering this as part of a wonderful dining experience. A small family dinner? Go here! A working lunch? Go here! Pre-theatre food? Go here! A romantic soiree? Go here! This was an eating experience we felt better for, rested and relaxed and satisfied... and it stayed at the top of our list even after we tried many other eateries in our week in Bath and Bristol.

I cannot recommend this place enough, we walked in thinking it was a standard pizza place, we came out feeling like we’d eaten in Italy! Fantastic helpful service as well! Amazing delicious authentic Italian food. Great variety of dishes all so tasty! I’d happily go back here next time I visit bath.

Friendly and welcoming staff, Quattro staggioni was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Scrumptious.

Dough was recommended to us when visiting Bath and it did not disappoint. Lush Pizzas with amazing dough. I had the turmeric option with vegetariana and hubby had calzone with sour dough base. We had the Dolce Pizza for dessert which was massive - the size of an actual pizza. Neither of us were gluten free but could appreciate all the options for gf customers.

Lovely staff and fabulous food! Wouldn't have known our base was GF! We had a bruschetta to start (VG); and the seaweed base with one of the vegetarian toppings (subbed vegan mozzarella) and extra olives. (VG,GF) Gorgeous! The only decisions that baffled me were the choices to not have fresh cracked black pepper and good quality rock salt to top the pizzas, also a lack of a vegan milk alternative for coffees. Small items irrelevant to most diners, but they have made such a big effort to cater with a good menu, these seemed like odd economies. Wouldn't put me off going back though, and have already recommended it to others.

Food and service was actually quite decent, but they forced a "descretionary service charge" on the bill. I understand this is optional but regardless this is a disgusting practice that needs to be abolished. Let me tip on my own accord.

Lots of different choices of pizza base set this place apart. I had the multigrain base and it was delicious.

Unfortunately my seafood pizza was a bit bland, dry and didn't really cut up to my expectations. My partner's pizza however was much nicer.

We had an amazing lunch at Dough when we visited Bath the pizza was cooked fresh and you could choose from a range of Dough including gluten free options and ones that had health benefits ie. Tumeric and Hemp. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The burrata starter was delicious and the seafood pizza was great too. Very reasonable prices I definitely recommend visiting if you are in Bath.

Amazing pizzas and amazing service! My daughter has Coeliac disease and Dough has a range of gluten free bases all prepared carefully to avoid cross contamination. Lots of choice of bases and toppings for the non coeliacs too.

Stopped by on the off chance fancying pizza - cosmetics be happier. Such friendly staff - happy to explain the different dough types and anything else you wanted to know. Definitely coming back.

I went there to eat with my family based on recent reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. Firstly they assumed I was a child and brought me a very small pizza although I ordered the regular one. Then I ordered orange juice and they brought me a cup full of ice cubes (I counted 8 ice cubes!) and a little bit of orange juice on top. My family was furious. All my other family ordered pizzas and my son noticed that all the plates had a thin layer of charcoal dust, which I know to be carcinogenic. As another reviewer noticed the pizza bread was as thin as paper, the toppings could only be seen with a microscope (I managed to detect 5 olives cut in 5 pieces and counted a total half of an anchovy). The majority of the pizza was a cheap red sauce, entirely tasteless and they just through a ton of salt to add some flavour which made it impossible to eat. The dough was a failure as it was undercooked and if you held a piece from the crust it fell down with the pizza ingredients trickling down. The fraud was complete during paying when they added a 10% on top of the bill for “service tip”. Overall the worst restaurant I have ever been in my entire life and if I was only allowed a word to describe it, that would easily be: scam.

Absolutely AMAZING dough - gluten free and otherwise. Never been anywhere like it. The gluten free option is cross contamination / Coeliac safe as well. Our 3 year old devoured her pizza as well (which was free with an adult pizza… bonus!). This is the second Dough venue (first is in the Corridor) and was less busy so able to seat us for lunch in half term without a reservation. Will be back to try more of their different ‘dough’ (bases)!

I do not understand why you cannot cut pizza on delivery yourself

The food was very good the garlic pizza was big enough to share. Very enjoyable great atmosphere and staff were very helpful.

We researched pizza places in Bath and Dough kept coming up; this was confirmed by a barman and we’re so glad that this was open on Mondays (when little else seemed to be at the start of February). We thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas, which were among the best we’ve had outside Italy. We also liked the service, the wine and the limoncellos afterwards. They have lots of choice of bases, inc. GF. Recommended.

The staff were great the let down was the sauce on the pizza wasn't seasoned enough and could have done with a bit of garlic. Great dough though. According to my wife dead plants In and out side are bad energy.

Whilst staying in Bath over Christmas just round the corner at the Premier Inn, we popped to Dough for a spot of dinner after a long journey. The selection of pizza toppings is really interesting and unusual as are the different bases you can get for your pizza. They were fresh and so tasty, seriously one of the best pizzas we’ve had out in a long whilst. Staff were great, friendly, not pushy, and obviously knew their pizza is goooood!! Check it out if you’re in Bath.

Always a great pizza experience. This is an authentic Italian pizzeria, where they prepare everything from scratch on site. It tastes delicious and I really appreciate the care they have handling our son’s many allergies. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal here on Friday evening, pre-concert meal. As shown on star rating, we were extremely pleased with everything - food delicious and the choice of bases, especially for folks with food intolerances/dietary requirements was fantastic. I had my first ever limoncello too! Highly recommended Italian restaurant and we will be back!

Had a very nice meal here. Freshly cooked, nice and hot. Staff pleasant and efficient.

The dough was superb and the ingredients were first quality! I had the turmeric dough, it was light and delicious, with authentic buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes. I will go there every time I am in Bath, this is for sure!

Pizza that goes beyond delicious! With a choice of base adding such a difference, you are in for a treat. Try them out. We visited Dough at Kingsmead, Bath (there are 2 restaurants, the other is in The Corridor). It’s an informal restaurant but it doesn’t distract from the high standard of service and quality of the food as you might find in some places. We were welcomed and shown to a clean table, menus and drinks sorted straight away and this was despite it being really busy as it was a rugby night. We were glad we’d booked as it was the last booking available, which I guess speaks for itself. The aroma and look of the food being served had our mouths watering. We had bruschetta and caprese for our starters. Both served quickly, the mozzarella, salad were fresh and balsamic dressing sweet and delicious. I chose the turmeric base for my Mediterranean pizza my husband had the meaty feast. Wow!!! They were so tasty and light, yet filling. Now there’s pizza and there’s real pizza as it should be but here was a twist with a choice of healthy bases that will keep you wanting to come back. We had ice cream for dessert and there was no quibble at my request to change vanilla to coconut for my affogato (ice cream with espresso poured over for those not in the know). Francesco made sure we’d enjoyed our food and we had, 100% but it was the service that added to it. The staff are polite, attentive and work very hard so you’re not left waiting. Despite every table being full, we didn’t wait a long time for anything, drinks and food order, starter serving, plates cleared, main arriving but not too soon either. Just perfect. We can’t wait to go through the menu to try the different bases or for good weather to be able to sit out in the square where they have a prime spot under vast umbrellas, you could be in Italy. We’ll visit again without a doubt.

Fantastic pizzas, with a great choice of gluten free bases as well. Our resident Coeliac said it was the best she had tasted. I cannot reccomend Dough enough, and we will certainly be returning next time we are in Bath.

Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Bath, we never have had such a choice of bases before took full advantage of the vast choice. Each pizza had a completely different look, texture and taste and all were amazing. The drinks menu is more than adequate to suit any type of booking and the outside seating is perfect for a summers evening to sit outside and enjoy a meal watching the world pass by. Staff were all pleasant and knew their menu indepth being able to explain the different flavours of bases well.

We were a walk in, severed promptly, the food that came out was lovely.

Friendly and very nice staff, we were recommended by a very kind Italian boy. We ate very well, very particular pizza doughs. Very digestible pizza and puccia, which is not easy to find even in Italy.

Nice venue, friendly staff and good service. On their menu they have several dough you can chose from for both regular and gluten free pizza. However, we went there on a Saturday night at 8pm and 2 out of 4 of the gluten free dough were not available. Pizzas were nice, good toppings and they are flexible with the ingredients. We also ordered the tiramisu with Nutella. It was good, maybe a bit dry (not a lot of coffee) for my taste and they could be a bit more generous with the Nutella.
