Fantastic little pub. No food available but we were able to bring takeaway food into the pub while watching the Euro finals. Definitely worth a visit

Not been here for many years. Only sells drinks and snacks although the beer and wine are excellent.

I was there on a live music night. Lots of people having a great good-natured time. Bar staff brilliant. Nice pub. Just had drinks.

(100% LEGAL: NO CASH here, similar to several other Bath pubs) REVIEW: One of Bath's "best kept secrets" (almost!), this little pub serves a varied selection of Ales on tap, plus regular beers + cider, and cocktails / shots also available. (Coffee machine:- check w/ staff.) Rooftop terrace for some sun-time (& 2nd bar when busy enough!) & for smokers. Thurs eves Open Mic, and Live Music on Sun eves. Well supported by "old hand" regulars and students "in-the-know". To be 100% clear, New Inn DOES NOT do food (anymore?).. For everything else (i.e. _drinks_ esp. Ales, or shots or cocktails), New Inn is BRILLIANT. It is NOT a "microbrewery", but IS an indie pub. Reviewers should be careful their info is accurate. That 2-* is bull.

The landlord clearly works hard to create a convivial atmosphere - and also to bring in good live music to sooth our souls.

Absolutely fantastic open mic night! Great atmosphere and lovely setting.

Web site showed great food but very pleasant barman explained that they had not done food for some years! He had tried to get the landlord to up date the information but no joy. It was a cold Tuesday in January. The two of us brought the total customers to 3. I enjoyed a well kept draft beer and the Mrs had a quality G and T. We then went to the very nice fish restaurant 2 doors down. I imagine on a busier night that it has a good vibe but dead as a dodo when we were there. Maybe all the regulars starved to death!🤔🤣

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours there on Thursday night. It was open-mic with the usual mix of talents but lots of enthusiasm. Great bar, staff really good and a great atmosphere. Recommended.

THIS PLACE HAS NOT HAD A KITCHEN IN 2 YEARS. NO FOOD. A great cast pint, though. Excellent beer! Slightly off the beaten path.

Really upmarket improved pub. Toby the landlord is a legend at turning a downer pub into a brilliant one. Food is good, service is good and the decor is the most impressive thing.

What a wonderful old style luvly pup, with a warm greeting as I entered,,, coffee was luvly and facilities wer spotless , the whole place was relaxing and will be going back sometime for the music ,,

Cash not accepted - uninterested staff more atmosphere on the moon - didn’t eat there so review is for a drink with some friends. Micro brewery beer that was mediocre and expensive.

Well, haven't been in this pub for years although have heard quite a bit about it recently so thought I would make the effort, well worth the "effort " fantastic pub with a great selection of drinks well priced for town, lovely traditional cider on tap and the roof terrace is amazing...felt like I was sat in the Med, highly recommend this pub and looking forward to going back soon. Staff very friendly aswell.

We visited in the aftermath of the New Inn's Bank Holiday extravaganza - stock was low and the bar staff seemed exhausted. I've been on other occasions and it's always been okay but not for more than a drink or two. I'm wondering if their bank holiday event are where they shine - I will have to check it out next time and update my review.

Dave is a dood landlord who keeps a good selection of beers and always top quality.

Worth a visit for a few fine ales - nice 'local' boozer with real ales and ,although quite when we visited, really enjoyed it. Visited on a Thursday evening which is open mic night (music when we visited) which was a treat.

Quiet when I visited, but a good selection of real ales and friendly service. A bit expensive for beer compared to other locals, but sometimes quiet is good.

Nice beer but unbearable ambiance. Bar staff put music on the PA while the pianist was still playing as such there was two sets of music at the same time. Utterly disrespectful to the pianist and truly unpleasant as a customer.

Standard mass produced pub grub but all perfectly cooked and tasty. Excellent service, friendly staff and value for money. I particularly liked the mini pudding and coffee

We had such a fun night at the New Inn. Service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and the live music was spot on. Honestly such a perfect night!

I’m always amazed this place isn’t rushed off it’s feet, because it has such a great atmosphere and selection and the staff are always brilliant. In summer the roof terrace is a gem. In winter or rainier days it’s lovely and cosy indoors. The beer is great and has a changing guest beer, the wine is lovely and stored properly! An interesting gin selection also. Great for a drink while waiting for a table at The Scallop Shell next door. Give this pub the visit it deserves!

Visited the "New Inn" as we were told about the Roof Terrace so we called in impressed with the welcome, bar staff really friendly and helpful big choice of Beers, and impressed with the roof terrace, loved the experience, definitely be back

My wife and I were going to eat in the restrurant next door and popped in for a quick pint and found this to be a lovery pub, good beers and a nice roof top terrance to sit out in the warm evening. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We liiked it so much we went back the next evening and had the same experience

Ale was very good in colour and in taste, my partner had the cocktails and very much enjoyed them, the food was very nice and good sized portions also!

Perfect little pub tucked away near the center of Bath. We had drinks on the rooftop terrace and although the views weren't picturesque, it was nice to be sat outside in the sunshine.

Had a fantastic time, come here a lot as it’s my local. Drinks are lovely, especially for the new cocktails! All the bar staff were so helpful and lovely, especially the ginger one who gave us grate recommendations and was fantastic! Will be coming back more and more.

The company I went with and the roof top terrace was the only thing stopping this from being a 1 star review. The price for drinks is ridiculous paid just under £50 for 2 pints and 8 shots which is laughable. Have bought several larger rounds of drinks in Central London for significantly cheaper. Service at the bar was poor and shots were shabby at best. After ordering the staff offered unnecessary sass about the times we had to leave which was 15 minutes after we had been robbed of a hard earned £50. Would not recommend.

Popped in for a drink in Bath on an afternoon - no one else in the pub. Found the member of staff very very rude, didn't feel too welcome so we didn't stick around long. Drinks were fine. Wouldn't rush back.

Friendly staff, in a great location, with a beautiful roof terrace all for standard prices.

Despite their claim, they don't serve any craft beer at all, never have done, and it's always dead. It's a shame as they've really done a good job on the place.

Popped in for a quick short with a friend. With all the virus restrictions there was table service in place. Asked Ellie about whiskeys and she was very helpful. Great spot, love the roof terrace

Emma and Dave have been very welcoming to an out of towner and are happy to make beverage recommendations based on taste. I came back to check out the live music and met Ellie who was just as welcoming. Would recommend to anyone visiting our local
