once again an amazing night in Beneath, the bartenders joey and grace were very knowledgeable and helpful when we couldn't decide what to drink! Thank you we will definitely be returning very soon.

We popped in early evening for some pre dinner drinks. Staff were super friendly and the cocktails were fabulous. The place is really quirky and we really loved our large booth that easily accommodated 6 of us. Highly recommend and would definitely go back next time we're in Bath.

Have had a great time here in the past but this Friday night they seemed confused by the concept of 6 people turning up at half 10 looking for a cocktail or 2. After some debate they agreed we could stay for just 1 then said that they didn’t have ingredients for the drinks we picked. We left.

Went recently with my friends and had the most amazing night. It was a busy Saturday but the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable - we were looked after by grace and Joey and nothing was too much to ask they’re honestly a credit to the business. Will definitely be telling my friends to come and will be returning. (The cosmos are amazing)

We went for one of the Jazz nights with the live jazz band! it was such lovely cosy vibe perfect for a date night, the bartenders were all so helpful and told us all about all the events they have coming up, we will definitely be back. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Update: Thanks Beneath staff, I'd obvs had a couple of cocktails at the Hilton which I was actually reviewing. I will visit on the next holiday to Bath and I'm sure it will be a great experience.

Delicious cocktails, great atmosphere, swell bar tenders! We've had an excellent night every time we've been.

Great service, atomesphere and decor. Really helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic drinks and location. Would highly recommend for a romantic date night drink or a group outing with friends!

Brilliant place. Very interesting cellars. Great staff. The cocktails were really good. We recommend the Calming with chocolate on top and the Aphrodisiac which worked really well! 😉

I’ve just returned from a visit here and it’s been pretty special. Extremely knowledgable and passionate members of staff. Amazing cocktails and a little gem in Bath. I’m coming back with friends from out of the area and my husband. Inner strength cocktail is highly recommended.

We stopped in on a Sunday night and ordered a couple of cocktails from the helpful waitress’ recommendations, everyone in our party agreed that they were top tier in every sense. Absolute great location, venue and atmosphere, very moody and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a tipple in the Centre of Bath (Order the ‘Inner Strength’) it was a little difficult to find but definitely worth hunting for.

Bar tenders were very experienced in alcohol selection and provided ample advice regarding which drink we should choose. The vibe was chilled and sophisticated. Can’t wait to visit again!

What a cool cocktail bar. We used to go to Opium but this bar is so much cooler and the staff are brilliant and knowledgeable. Definitely be there again soon

The bar is incredibly cool. The drinks were fantastic. But, they wouldn't let my girlfriend and her friends in to join me because the were dressed "too fancy". They were coming from a ball at the Jane Austen Center and were in period dresses. They said that wasn't the "vibe" they were going for. The place wasn't busy at all and they missed out on a lot of revenue that night. Just seems like a really bad business model.

What an absolute find !! Place is so unique with cocktails and wines. Couldn't recommend enough. Will be visiting again on our return to bath

We stumbled across this place on opening night, and were lucky enough to get a table for 7 in one of the arches/booths. We were so impressed with the depth of knowledge of the staff, offering up a great deal of information on the wines and cocktails, also advising that they create off menu cocktails. We were really impressed with this hideaway bar and would highly recommend for people looking for something unique and sophisticated

Stumbled upon this place on google only to find that we’d actually shown up on opening night! Let me tell you, it definitely didn’t come across like a first night of trading! The team were a well oiled machine and so knowledgeable. Service was fantastic and the drinks were delicious. What a unique idea to self serve the cocktails in the little medicine style jars! Will definitely be returning next time I’m in Bath!

The cocktails were great and our host Grace was fantastic and talked us through a great selection of cocktails and wines. I will definitely be returning again soon!

We organised for a group of us to do the Cocktail Masterclass. We didn't really know what to expect but it was fantastic. Our host Dakota was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining and had us involved right from the start! Brilliant. Thank you.

We loved the cool, intimate setting of this bar in an underground cellar. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They noticed my friend was wearing a ‘Bon voyage’ sash and gave her a free glass of prosecco. It was her moving away party so they made an effort to make it memorable. They also encouraged us to go off menu and order whatever cocktails we wanted. The drinks were great and we really enjoyed our night. Really recommend this place!

Strange smell of sewage all evening. Drinks were fine but the atmosphere was strange but then if you’re smelling sewage that’s not surprising really. Avoid.

I booked a table for my birthday and expected to be taken to the table when we arrived. No one was their to greet us we were stood around waiting. I asked to ask the door man who to speak to. Then a man came...
