Timeout Market Montreal offers a vibrant and eclectic dining experience, where diverse flavors come together in a cozy yet lively setting. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing drink or a unique twist on classic comfort food, this market has something special to offer. My recent visit had me trying a couple of standout items that perfectly showcased the creativity and bold flavors on offer. Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok and Instagram soon @Foxyappetite In depth review: I started at the bar by ordering the Tiger Mojito, a cocktail that immediately piqued my interest with its blend of exotic ingredients inspired by Vietnamese cuisine. The combination of kaffir lime, aloe, and lychee was a refreshing departure from the usual mojito, providing a wonderfully layered flavor profile. The kaffir lime added an aromatic citrusy punch, while the aloe contributed a cool, soothing element, and the lychee lent a touch of sweetness. This drink felt like a unique journey through Southeast Asia, offering a refreshing escape from the usual cocktail menu. It was beautifully balanced, with just enough sweetness to complement the tanginess of the lime without overwhelming the palate. For my meal, I headed over to Chef Paul Toussaint’s stall and opted for the Jerk Chicken Poutine as it was la poutine week. This Haitian version was a creative and mouthwatering take on the beloved Canadian classic. The poutine featured a combination of crispy regular fries and plantain fries, which were a fantastic touch. The plantain fries brought a slightly sweet contrast to the savory components, elevating the dish to a whole new level of flavor. The jerk chicken itself was expertly seasoned—spicy, smoky, and perfectly tender. The heat from the seasoning was just right, giving the dish a bold kick without overpowering the other ingredients. The Caribbean spicy gravy was the star here—rich, creamy, and with just enough tang to enhance the depth of the flavors. The cheese curds melted seamlessly into the gravy, providing that quintessential poutine experience with a comforting texture. The real highlight, however, was the addition of pikliz, a Haitian-style spicy slaw. It brought a much-needed crunch and a refreshing tang that balanced out the heaviness of the fries and gravy. The pikliz was vibrant and tangy, making it an essential component that tied everything together beautifully. Timeout Market Montreal is a must-visit destination for anyone craving bold flavors and a unique culinary adventure. The Tiger Mojito is an excellent choice for those looking for a refreshing drink with a twist, while the Jerk Chicken Poutine is a hearty and satisfying meal that combines Caribbean and Canadian influences in the best possible way. The mix of textures and flavors, from crispy fries to smoky chicken and the tangy slaw, makes for a memorable and satisfying meal. It’s a place where diverse cultural influences come together seamlessly, offering both locals and tourists an exciting dining experience.

My husband and I went here for the first time. It was a really unique experience. Each food stall is set up like a little restaurant. There were so many options to choose from. My husband got the ramen and karage. I got the bao buns. We shared churros for dessert. All the food was really delicious. If you're looking for an elevated food court with higher quality food and an abundance of options, I highly recommend going to time out market.

Le Taj - lamb korma (it not on the menu) My favourite from all the food we got! 3. Paul Toussaint - rum oxtail It was okay, not the best I had, the rice was mid 4. Climat - Maple Fried Chicken Didn’t really taste like the real maple syrup, basic fried chicken, however the fries with the truffle mayo was very good - lobster roll Worst lobster roll I had 5. Dairy bar? - lotus pistachio Was gooood - limon granita Very good

Visited in August of last year, in the afternoon. It's located in what was the former Eaton's department store, the Eaton Centre shopping mall in downtown Montréal created a second but far more high end food court, with am alcohol only section (you can eat there too). That bar area, there are three kiosks, one for wine, one for cocktails and of course, the beer/cider kiosk. The beer selection is all craft, Charlevoix, Dieu du Ciel and RJ on tap with some rotating cans. The price is not bad for a downtown establishment, although you have to go get it your self. Not a bad place to drink!

I spend way too much time at the Time Out Market in Montreal. I love it there. Whether I am stopping in for a glass of wine or hanging out at one the windows doing some work, I love the place. Go on a Sunday and there is usually an activity going on, a singing group, someone set up with their poetry, readings, and so much more. You do not have to pay or buy anything, you can just grab a seat and enjoy. But how would one resist all the amazing restaurants here? I am not sure. The seating is comfortable, and if you go at off peak hours there is plenty of space. I often sit in the 18+ area and set up my laptop for work at one of the window spaces. The spaces get cleaned up very quickly and all the personnel are pretty friendly and fun. I have to give kudos to one of the managers who actually, if he sees anything that needs to be done as he walks around, no, really, he actually does what needs to be done! That was pretty impressive to me. I am a huge fan of the shared washrooms. I really think we are beyond needing a separate womens and mens washroom. I lvoe that it is always clean and everything seems to work well.

We tried several different places, it's a huge disappointment: flat burgers (and dishes), everything is excessively spicy (hide the tasteless), "chic" portions (no generosity, nothing on the plate), Poké au discounts (Metro or IGA sector?..), sachet sushi, papa pizzas, filthy bbq... Time Out Market in Eaton Center is one of the better spots in Montreàl dining scene, especially if you are a tourist or looking for multiple dining options in Winters. Way nicer than an average food court, the ambiance and the aesthetics make it a nice spot for singles, couples, friends, and families alike. The video game alley is a icing on the cake as kids love it, and our favorite game was the NHL Table Top Ice Hockey game. One word of caution, as finding proper vegetarian options is challenging here. Many outlets that do offer vegetarian dishes are unfortunately not cooked in a kosher manner, esp stuff like Poutine, Ramen, etc. If you want to eat veg/vegan food, your best bet is to get Indian at Le Taj, Pizza/Pasta, Sandwich, Salad, or Sushi. Overall, we enjoyed our lazy affordable lunches there, and went back whenever we visited Eaton Center in Montreàl.

The atmosphere was pleasant, relaxed, and inviting, fostering a friendly environment where one could comfortably sit near strangers. However, the food we sampled was only mediocre. The lobster roll (Homard) from Climats had bread that was overly toasted and lacked sufficient softness to absorb the sauce; while the caviar was delicious, the lobster itself had an unpleasant odor and did not seem fresh. The fries were excellent, but the tartar sauce appeared old, with visible oil separation. The Prosciutto pizza from Moleskine had an acidic tasty tomato sauce. The dough was slightly burnt on the bottom (was not wood oven to expect burnt), and it lacks texture when you hold it. Overall, it was average.

I had a burger and I asked for no cheese and to put it on lettuce instead of a bun, and there was absolutely no problem with accommodating my request. The burger was quite good, however, it was not the best burger I’ve ever had. My friend had butter chicken from the Indian place and he said it was good, but also not anything ridiculously amazing. For a quick dinner option with lots of choices to suit lots of people this is a good choice however, there are much better restaurants in Montreal. I recently visited Time Out Market Montréal for the drag brunch on November 2nd, and while the experience had some incredible highlights, there were a few things that could have been better planned. First, let's talk about the positives. The drag show was absolutely fantastic! The queens were stunning, and the performance was full of energy and humor. It was a joy to watch, and they really knew how to engage the crowd. I also have to give a special shoutout to the Nutella calzone I ordered from Moleskin—it was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet treat to enjoy during the show. However, the set-up for the event left a lot to be desired. We made sure to arrive an hour early to get a good spot in front of the stage, but when we got there, we learned that all the prime seating was already reserved. We tried to take a spot on the side, but unfortunately, that didn’t work out well either. Throughout the performance, people constantly walked right in front of us, and the aisle was often blocked by people stopping to watch or take pictures. While the staff did their best to keep things moving and ensure that the flow wasn’t disrupted, there was only so much they could do. My main issue was with the stage placement and the seating arrangement. Given how popular the drag brunch is, it seems odd that the best seats—right in front of the stage—were all reserved, leaving the rest of the crowd in less-than-ideal spots. Why place the stage in an area where there’s limited seating in front? It’s disappointing, especially when you’ve made an effort to arrive early and get a good view. Overall, the drag show itself was a blast, and the food was top-notch, but the seating arrangement and stage placement really need to be reconsidered for future events. It’s such a great concept, and with a few tweaks, it could be an even better experience.

This is a review of the ramen garlic with extra chasu. I'm giving the food 2 stars and bumping up the rating because there are many choices and it's an interesting environment. I paid $25 for the food and it extremely disappointed. The ramen broth was too salty, almost inedible (I thought about taking it back). The broth is complimented with 2 slices of chasu (glad I ordered a side) and is peppered with random oils and a lot of frofth (why?) plus the black garlic oil I ordered. The side chasu is served cold and heavily flavored with soy sauce (just salty, on top of the salty broth). The soup wasn't proper "ramen hot" and didn't have much flavor beyond salt and creamy. I realize this isn't LA nor Japan, but this trendy spot should be better than this. Considering this is a copy paste concept food court, I'm not inclined to try anything else.

A nice place to eat... Lots of choice and varied tastes for everyone's pleasure. Although a little expensive compared to what is offered

The dishes are really good, but on the other hand at IBERICO's the large paella to take away was not big at all, almost no rice, a chicken drumstick and two pieces of rabbit, very disappointed. The same thing at Chanthy Yen, 5 micro wantons for $12 before taxes!!! This is quite exaggerated... On the other hand, the Taj and Paul Toussaint, large portions, fair prices, very good!

The strong point of the place is that it is warm, friendly and clean. I tried the pizzas which were just ok with a higher than average price. I advise you to go there and form your own opinion, it's still OK when you want to shop and eat in the area but not to find a good restaurant.

A modern take on marketplace with spectacular varieties of food option. Conveniently located at Eaton Center it is definitely the place to try local food from local great restaurants via fast food counters. Cuisines from Mexican to Vietnamese to Caribbean to Indian to Italian and so forth...it is the place to try the best Montreal can offer :) There is also a Soda bar along with Mocktails stalls and a different section just for 18+ with bars. A must venue to visit when in downtown shopping and chilling and wanting to try out local Montreal food. A diverse and unique fast food service that brings out the best of la belle province du Quebec à Montreal :) Great service run by great people :) A truly diverse place that exemplies the multicultural aspect of my city, my Montreal ❤️

I was a regular customer of the Taj for their famous butter chicken, total disappointment, they changed the recipe It looks like chicken in tomato sauce, it tasted just like that It was my last time that I was their customer, when the recipe is a winner, we don't change it

Excellent place to eat Downtown Montreal. The place is very beautiful, clean and the food is very good. I tried the restaurants Blossom (Takoyaki, salmon sashimi), Climats (Lobster/shrimp rolls) as well as the pizzeria and everything was excellent every time. They also make very good moktails and have a nice selection of beers and wines. I highly recommend!

Being charged an 18% tip at the counter to get our glass of water ourselves at another counter….It's an aberration They practically force us to buy ZERO ECOLOGICAL bottles of water for a modern concept that's is disappointing and worrying

Large food court that can accommodate about 1000 people Good quality I recommend this place! I think if something like this existed in Japan, it would be very popular. The table and chairs have a woodgrain look and are made of high-quality wood, creating a nice atmosphere. There are 20 types of shops? To some extent You can also drink local beer.

I love the food, drinks, and atmosphere here, but had an issue with service today. My phone died, and none of the outlets near the tables worked. When I asked to charge it at the bar and offered to take full responsibility for my phone’s safety, the staff still had me try multiple outlets again and even tested my charger on their phone before allowing me to charge it. While I understand policies, it felt a bit uncomfortable. They did help in the end, and I appreciate that. I’d suggest checking the outlets and being a bit more responsive to small customer needs🕊️🤍

Great place, everyone can take what they want!! The pasta was excellent, as well as the prime rib, the only negative point was the music which was much too loud, there were 5 of us, we ate without really being able to communicate with each other, unless we shouted across the table! !!

Here are my culinary experiences at Time Out Market Montreal: May 1: Le Blossom, Japanese restaurant. A real discovery! It was a professional lunch and I was super happy. I had a Salmon-Tuna Poké bowl and I fell for a homemade cake, absolutely delicious! It was a real feast! The atmosphere was great and everything was perfect. June 21: I tried Le Campo and its Portuguese chicken, and I visited Le Blossom again. Always so happy to eat there! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy themselves and have a good time! July 18: I tested the newcomer, Climats. I had fish and chips and extra fried calamari. I was more than full, lol. Be careful, the portions are generous and super good! September 25: I tried Ibericos, I took the Paela / Patas / drink trio, nothing to say that it's very tasty and good, to make again soon 🥰.

I recommend ChefPaul, Haitian restaurant, good food, Oxtail, Grillot etc. But the timeout market is a place where you can enjoy eating on a busy day, there are a lot of people but the service is quite fast and enough space to suit a crowd. Very trendy mix of young people and adults, wine areas etc👌🏽👌🏽

Great cafe, good service, but not cheap. The sandwiches are very different from your usual cafe and taste great. One of my favourite cafes in Bath.
