Amazing little cafe! Visited after seeing on social media; gorgeous little set up with lovely welcoming friendly staff. Our food was cooked to perfection and was lovely! Even bought two pies to take away for dinner this evening as they looked too good to leave Definitely will return

Exceptionally clean with a brilliant waiter who also appeared to run the whole hotel as manager/waiter/barman/porter and general factotum. He was also very funny as well as efficient. The food is good quality, well prepared and presented pub food. Reasonably priced too. No complaints whatsoever. You won't be disappointed.

Had a meal here. Steak and Alex pie. Was terrible. Veg was microwaved and got one carrot baton! Peas were dry. Pie needed a chainsaw to get into. Mash was Smash packet rubbish. Overall crap wouldn’t eat here again. Was charged £17.99 for something my ten year old could have made better. Very dissapounting

Food 2/10 Service avarage Fish over cooked Burger dry as hell. Roast dinner dry. Not happy at all. So disappointed

group of 4 came in for a meal. we was not disappointed. the food was perfect. the waitresses where lovely and attentive and a credit to the company. we will definately be back soon.

Usually good - ordered a veg Thai green curry - hardly any veg loads of rice and barely any sauce ! Had to ask for more sauce - but disappointed- I’ll have a roast next time

Truly sad to hear this pub is closing. The food, service and atmosphere was always superb and I hope it re-opens as a pub again in the future.

What stands out most to me was the exceptional service I recieved by the members of staff. They are all very accommodating and will happily try to fix any queries that you might have. I had a lovely room with everything I needed. Notably, the man who served me for dinner I believe his name was Ash was a very good host. He served us with a smile on his face and left us with a smile on ours. He was very on top of the dinner service. I felt that my stay was of a high quality.

We go here for family celebrations and can't fault it. It's not slow service or rushed, staff are attentive and professional and food is well prepared and served. Highly recommend.

Went here with friends, food was excellent and very tasty. Service was good. Take your own drink which makes it a cheaper evening.

HYGIENE ALERT: one of the members of Subway staff today (Asian male) used the toilet in the shop and did not wash their hands afterwards (flushed and exited straight away, wash basin was dry, did not hear dryer through the door).

We visited the garden centre yesterday to buy some garden furniture. We were helped by Roz who showed us to what we were looking for and answered all of our questions beautifully. She really couldn’t have done any more for us so thank you! The rest of the garden centre wasn’t great as there wasn’t anything we were looking for, and there was a general lack of stock.

This was my first visit to this restaurant - and not the last!! The menu had a great selection, especially for Gluten Free options, which was important for my family. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was amazing, and Frankie really looked after us. I had really good value for money and will definitely return. Many thanks

Whatever has happened. There used to be an ambience of quality and relaxed comfort here. For some reason the comfortable tables and chairs, in part, have been replaced by awful metal chairs akin to cheap garden furniture. Character lost in a flash and more akin now to a motorway service station. Bring back the original interior designer please!! Hot food not available on the day of our visit and toilets limited due to ISSUES. That is not reflected in this review as these things happen but cant see us rushing back anytime soon.
