Went here with friends, food was excellent and very tasty. Service was good. Take your own drink which makes it a cheaper evening.

Sunday buffet tasteless over priced soft drinks £4:50 for a pint of flat Diet Coke. No price list and some of the food cold not even slightly warm.

Very disappointed with my meal. I had Chicken Korma Pilau rice and Naan and found it quite tasteless and watery. It cost me £16 20 very overpriced Chicken Korma will not be going there again this was my first visit and my last

The last time we came here for Christmas Day was just before COVID and the food was excellent. I have visited for the Sunday Buffet since with a noticible decline in the quality of the food. However, I will not be coming back again as the food was just warm and of poor quality, to the extent that I even left the majority on my plate, which is not like me. They really need to change their chef. I’ve given it a 2 and that was only because the waiter was lovely. Take no notice of anything that says it’s award winning as this may have been the case years ago, but certainly not now.

Was recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try. Both Disappointed, garlic naan not very garlicky, chicken balti chicken not very tender, lamb in my dish tough to chew. Rice was nice so were onion bhaji. Bill included service charge already, which I prefer to leave my own depending on experience service and quality of food. Won’t visit again unfortunately

Won’t be coming here again. On their website states £11.95 for adult for the Sunday buffet and £6 for children then we get charged £6 over what it should of been. Then to be told oh it’s gone up when we pointed it out. Then outside there’s big poster with £10.95 for adults £7 for kids So just be careful they are making prices up as they go along i think. Shame as we were a big party and it’s put us all off going again,

A group of us visit this restaurant every month and are never disappointed. The food is excellent quality and great value. Bring your own alcohol saves us money and means we visit more regularly. Within 2 minutes walk of Mortimer station. Service is always good. 👍👍👍

Found this little gem of a curry house, while staying at the De Vere Wokefield Estate near Reading Service excellent & friendly, excellent menu choice, lovely food, reasonably priced and good value for money. No alcohol licence so you can bring your own which again keeps down the costs. Ample car parking 15 minutes outside of Reading. Definitely worth a visit. Will visit again when we are next in the area.

Impromptu visit, staff very friendly and welcoming Meal was lovely and hot, waiter gave good advice on the orders we placed. You can take your own alcohol, as we don't drink other options were available. Didn't eat all the meal and staff happy to box up for a takeaway. Outstanding restaurant, often use for takeaways, however, took the family there for a lunchtime meal. Very friendly and attentive staff, and the food was simply sublime!

We went here as a group of 6, service was good and food very tasty. Had to bring our own alcohol which was fine as made the bill much cheaper but would be better if they had an alcohol licence again.

Second curry from this restaurant as a delivery and I cannot recommend it more highly. We had been stuck on the motorway following a serious crash and had to rearrange the delivery time a couple of times. Curry arrived piping hot and delicious. The restaurant also called ahead to check we got back home ok before sending the delivery. Thank you Cinnamon Tree for you help and of course a lovely curry!

Not only is their menu very informative on what food contains what allergens, but when I have phoned up, they have been very acommodatng but suggesting (and in some cases creating from scratch) a nut free dish that is similar to what I want. and even better, they seperate the nut free dishes into seperate bags for delivery to avoid any accidental contamination. As someone who normally avoids indian takeaways for nut reasons, this restaurant has now gained me as a regular! spot on chaps!! Food is really tastey too!!

Went for dinner as a family of 4. Food was excellent and also had good service. Fire escape was blocked with a table was the only concern. Highly recommended

Ordered by phone was ready within 30 minutes. Food delicious and v reasonable. Prawn Dhansak was the best I'd ever had. Chicken Rogan also very flavourful. Can't wait to order again.

Social distancing measures were very poor, did not serve alcohol but we did know that before, service was very slow due to the amount of takeouts, it took about an hour and 15 minutes from when we arrived to get our food.

Ate here as a family of four while we were staying nearby and loved it. Food was very tasty and both kids cleaned their plates.

Pedimos por teléfono y llegamos a la hora asignada y la comida estaba lista, el personal tuvo mucho cuidado de no acercarse demasiado y simplemente me entregó la comida (pagamos por teléfono cuando pedimos la comida)De todos modos, la comida cuando llegué a casa fue fantástica, mi esposa pidió el Cordero Pasanda con arroz simple y el cordero le pareció muy tierno. Pedí el Cordero Balti con arroz especial que también estaba excelente. Pedimos el disco lateral ocra que estaba muy cremoso. Como es habitual con la mayoría de las comidas para llevar, era fácil para 3, por lo que tenemos otra comida que esperar más adelante en la semana.Toda la comida llegó a aproximadamente 27, lo que equivale a aproximadamente 9 por comida, una excelente relación calidad-precio, también entregan por 3, así que lo intentaremos la próxima vez.

This used to be one of the best Indian Restaurants around NOT ANY MORE Waited an hour for order to be taken 35 mins for starters to arrive another 35mins for main course then supplied wrong main courses WALKED OUT WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN

Very poor service and average food that’s inset cheap.Popadoms arrived and were stale, eventually replaced, without an apology. Ldmgthy gaps between service. Side dishes delivered to that table well in advance of the main dishes. Asked for the bill twice, failed to appear, so had to go to the bar and ask again, no apology from staff to the poor service. I’d think twice about going anytime soon

Went on a Sunday for dinner as didn't fancy cooking. My daughter is vegan so she couldn't have the buffet. We had the buffet which was mediocre compared to previous times.She asked for the menu and they more or less told her that all the curries are not vegan as they have cream in it. She asked if they could use coconut milk instead and they said no. So she ordered a dish and garlic rice which had way too much garlic in it. Her dish was very dry so she asked if they could add a bit of water to make a slight sauce. The waiter remarked it will change the taste of the dish !! So my daughter said - I'd rather that than this dry oily dish. Reluctantly they took it back in the kitchen and did it.Not friendly and not helpful. Won't be going back again as there are so many yummy Indian restaurants around.

Llegamos a las 7. 15 pm y nuestra comida principal llegó a las 9. 00 pm. Me senté y vi a tanta gente esperando comida para llevar, que les sirvieran bebidas y les dieran comida. Nos ignoraron por completo, tal vez el próximo año debería dejar de servir comidas para llevar cuando no tiene suficiente personal para cuidar a sus clientes en el restaurante. Fue una verdadera lástima ya que la comida era muy buena. Muy decepcionado, arruinó nuestra noche.

We have eaten here on many occasions as a couple and as a family, as well as ordering take aways. The food is always fabulous, the menu is varied and the chef is accommodating. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for authentic Asian food experience give The Cinnamon Tree the swerve. Our dishes were served lukewarm, bland and boring. The vegetables were chopped up small so you couldn't make out what you were eating. This was bog standard AngloIndian with nothing to recommend it. Could have made better in my own kitchen. Finally, it was poor value for money.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant on several occasions. It has a lovely ambience and the food is always very good. Can’t fault it in honesty, Will continue to eat here.

The food was excellent, the welcome was warm and then the level of service declined thereafter. What a shame, really wanted to give them 4 stars. Parking is good although don't try and park on the hill as this is the London commuters spot. It has also been known to flood in this area.

We use the Cinnamon Tree fairly regularly and generally like their food, but last night's experience was a serious disappointment. My Lamb Madras was bland and contained very little lamb, My daughter's Rogan Josh was bland and watery and a Ghust Shahjanee ordered by another member of our party came as the chicken version of the dish, also very bland despite being ordered extra hot. My wife's chicken and vegetable balti was tasty but not hot enough either temperature or heat-wise. Accompaniments such as rice and naan bread were OK .

Recently moved to the area and enjoyed a meal out with family a just before Christmas. We were very lucky to get a table as it was almost full, creating a great atmosphere. That's great to see on a Thursday night! The food was delicious, plenty of choice on offer and a great selection of wines to accompany. The service was very efficient and friendly, which given the restaurant was busy with large groups was fantastic. Since then we've ordered a takeaway and the food was just as good, had to wait a little on collection but that's to be expected on a weekend. Looking forward to going back!

As a New Years Eve treat I ordered a takeaway from the Cinammon Tree. The quoted wait was fairly long, but acceptable.

Went as a group last week. Slow service, forgot one starter, forgot the same guy’s main course. Naan breads came out a good 15 mins after my curry was served.

My friend & I needed some food and decided on The Cinnamon Tree as they do a Sunday Buffet, have to say it was really good! Lots of choices, The Lamb dish was just superb, Chicken Dansak also very good, and only £9.95 for eat all you can!

Vengo aquí desde el 2012. comida siempre probada encantadora. a partir de septiembre fui 4 veces pero no pude encontrar la prueba perfecta de comida en ninguna ocasión. Prueba de comida diferente que es muy insípida. si no pueden manejar más deberían apagarse. desde anoche estoy teniendo dolor de estomago. Comí aquí y cuando llegaron los platos principales, no pude decidir si deberías comer o no, pero aún así lo hice. Voy a llamar al equipo de visitas de salud para investigar el interior. En general, es un restaurante muy malo ahora.

Nos alojamos en Wokefield pero nos apetecía un curry y esto fue muy recomendable.

He estado oyendo desde hace unos 5 años. Pero las 2 últimas veces que he tenido para llevar desde el aire. Ha sido muy malo. El curry principal es muy acuoso, y no se ve bien también. Visité el restaurante para el cumpleaños de mi padre y no nos decepcionó. Hemos visitado antes y siempre hemos disfrutado de la comida. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado también.

Although slightly a bit more expensive than other restaurants of its type the quality is excellent. The Chicken Tikka especially is good and served on a sizzling skillet as it should be. One minor negative is putting on an automatic service charge, although I would usually tip if the service is reasonable and upwards I do think its the customers perogative to chose. That said it saves looking for pound coins!

We have visited the Cinnamon tree on a couple of occasions and always had a warm welcome and food has always been lovely.

We used to eat here weekly. Got a takeaway while visiting the area and it was just as good but had to wait 1/2 hour for our order after the time we were told the order would be ready so not to pleased with service.

The food was actually fantastic for a buffet. Had a bit of everything and went back for thirds!!! lol. We thoroughly enjoyed. Very very reasonable and would definitely go back if visiting the area again.

just visited this indian restaurant staff very pleasant, food average, they brought me wrong meal so had to wait 7mins for correct meal to be made other diners I was with started theirs as I did not want them to have cold food. they also forgot a portion of rice. surroundings very pleasant though.

Evening meal with the family, starters where good and came quickly enough, but no so quickly we couldn't finish the poppadoms. We shared a few dishes as mains and all were really good, even my fusspot son enjoyed it. Puds are out of the freezer but the complimentary drink at the end a pleasant surprise and nice touch.

A few basics let this place down. Some staff seem not to be that interested in giving customers a decent service. Dead flowers in the vase on the table is not nice, to present a ice bucket for our wine and not put the wine in it...a few more things I could mention, but overall I cannot fault the food. If all the staff were as attentive and nice like the manager, I would give another star. I'll probably try a few other Indian restaurants in future.

Great place, we went for a dinner and it was absolutely lovely experience. The place was full, but we still managed to get a table mon night. The place was very clean and well organised. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. The portions were very large, but some people like that, we only ate half of each. We were offered complementary drink at the end, which was nice. Great food as always, shame its still let down by poor service. The waiter told me my meal was on its way and then had to ask me what I had ordered. We were only a table of 8 on a quiet night but still some dishes forgotten and some delivered after the first ones.

Whilst staying on business at Wokefield Park I fancied something other than another meal and having been to this restaurant 18 months or so ago I thought I'd go again - it's less than five minutes drive from the hotel. I was warmly greeted and shown to a table by a really friendly guy who immediately took my drinks order and sorted me out some popadoms. I was asked for my main order within 5 minutes or so and the food arrived in good time, was freshly cooked and full of flavour. Probably one of the best Indian meals I've had where premium prices are not a factor. In summary, the staff were great, the menu had a good choice and some dishes that were different to the norm, the quality of the food was good and the prices reasonable. I'd highly recommend going there if you're in the area.

The menu was great making it really difficult to choose I decided on a beriani which was lovely my friends said theirs was lovely too, we were all full but not too full to enjoy a little tipple on the house wonderful. The place and staff are great all in all a great evening

We've heard good reports about this place and have been meaning to try it for some time. It was a Tuesday evening so the restaurant was quiet. Service was excellent, food arrived quickly and was very good. Can't fault the place.

Great value, with roughly 20 dishes on offer - Starters and mains, broken down by meat and vegetarian. All of the dishes were attentively looked at and topped up frequently - including naan.Parking is easy, with plenty at the rear, or on-road. Alternatively the restaurant is an easy 5 minute walk from Mortimer train station.

There is an extensive menu and the food is consistently very good. The staff are attentive, cheerful and welcoming and the rooms are attractively decorated. Take away food is available as well. It is one of our favourite local places to eat. There always seems to be many other diners when we visit (usually for dinner).

So we went here wth some friends for the Sunday buffet. Great meal loved the choices of both starters and mains with plenty of hot food and fresh coming out all the time. First time and we will be back.

Just got home from a brilliant indian buffet at this establishment. This is my second visit and I must say it has improved, the first buffet we had here was slightly let down by hard nan bread in the warm pot but we were one of the last couples there so to be expected.This visit the food was clearly freshly cooked flavourful with a good choice on offer:Aloo Chaat, Onion Bhaji, Chicken Tikka, Meat Samosa, Nan, Pilau Rice, Egg Pilau rice, chicken Korma, Chicken tikka massala, Lamb Rezala, Chicken Dhansak, Bombay Aloo, Sag AlooSelection of the usual sauces & salad along with lots of sliced lemon (nice touch there)I had about half a serving of each & I am glad I had done as they all tasted perfect, no raw chicken, lamb melted in the mouth all elements had a tasteful presence and were not overpowered by strong spices which to me is the sign to look for (ability to have a strong curry but still able to taste all major ingredients) I will recommend this place & I will return many more timesFor a party of 5 including drinks & a jug of water (metal jug+ice, NON-tap water)the price was appreciative also

I had poppadoms with sauce followed by a lamb curry which seemed unremarkable. However I was really unwell for hours afterward. Obviously some basic food hygiene measures were missed. This is a pity because there are not many restaurants in this area but I would strongly advise you to buy a salad in Budgens up the road rather than risk the after effects of this catering.

Went for a family lunch on Sunday and was extremely impressed not only with the variety of food but also at £9.95 it was excellent value for money.Staff are enthusiastic and happy to help.

After nearly two hours of waiting, during which we were largely ignored by the rude staff, we were eventually served cold food which contained partly raw chicken. Especially disappointing as this was a 30th birthday meal where people had come from as far as Newcastle. Booked on the basis of having been frequent customers at the Warfield restaurant of this group for years. Refused to pay for drinks or popadums. Will never go again.

We went for a meal on Saturday night, and although it was busy, it didn't t feel like that as the tables are nicely spread out and the atmosphere was lovely. The food and service were excellent and a lovely touch at the end of being offered a courtesy drink.

My wife and I had a very nice lunch here. We ordered a selection of vegetable side dishes. I was disappointed to note that they all looked the same. However, the tastes were completely different and all excellent.Being lunch time they were lacking in some areas. They said that popadums would take 15 minutes because they weren't ready. I ordered a naan and it didn't arrive with the meal. After a while they came back and said they weren't able to do the naan and would I have a chapati instead? I ordered 2 chapatis thinking they would be small but they were about the same size as a naan, but were hot and freshly cooked.Overall a good experience but they don't seem well prepared on a weekday lunch time. Not surprising as I could only see one other table occupied.

I tend to go to the Cinammon Tree with my family for special occasions (birthdays, mothers and fathers day) and we are always very well looked after.The buffet on a Sunday is absolutely fantastic - be sure to book in advance as the restaurant does get very full.I am very suprised by the mixed reviews as this curry house is very highly regarded with people travelling from Basingstoke and beyond as the food is that good.I am always wary of eating lamb as it can sometimes be tough and fatty, however the lamb served in the Cinammon Tree is absolutely divine!Great service to boot :-)

Thought we would try the Sunday buffet for 9.95 each. The good is tasty but they play it too safe but serving Korma, tikka massala and 2 other medium curries. Nothing hot hot hot. As everyone is saying service is absolutely appauling never seen anything like it! Won't be returning as pretty plain Jane and so many more to try in the area.

Second visit for a takeaway, both side dishes were so salty they were inedible and the meat in one of the main dishes was dry and chewy. Really disappointed that most of the food ended up in the bin.

Clearly a polar place.The food was excellent from a good menu, well spiced and very fresh. surprised as I was expecting OK and got great :-).Finished with a coffee... As a coffee snob this can be a defining moment. It was excellent as good as an Italian RestarauntReasonably priced.

The last time I visited the service was really good. However on my latest visit it had gone down to a very low level. It started after we ordered our poppadoms and drinks. They arrived promptly but we were then forgotten even though the restaurant was not full. After 40 minutes I had to ask someone to take our order. The starters arrived and we asked for a fill up of our drinks, they arrived and when served the waiter spilled one glass of water, did not clean glass and then served all drinks across the plates we were eating from instead of going around the table.After the starter we were brought fresh knives and forks for main course, these were just put down haphazardly where our plates were, even one knife was upside down. Again putting these across where we ate. When the main courses arrived we were not asked who had which dishes and they were just put on the table and we had to sort out where they went. The last thing was after we finished our main course, the top tablecloth was removed even though it was clean, surprisingly we had not spilled any food! To reveal an under tablecloth with an enormous stain in the middle of it. I asked for a new cloth, one was not volunteered! There seemed to be some reason why we were not entitled to a clean cloth, although one did eventually arrive.Having said this the food was up to its previous good and tasty standard and was cooked well.

I have eaten here many times over the years. The food is always very good. The service can occasionally ha a bit slow, but sometimes you should slow down and relax. I like the papa papadoms with the condiments. Excellent, but careful, it can be pretty filling. I especially like the Naga Massala. It is pretty hot, but very good with Pilau rice or mushroom rice. This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant anywhere (except Salisbury - Anakaa has a special place in my heart).
