Great value for money, pretty pub tucked out of the way, would go again. The party I was with all had steak and they all said how tender it was

We had a 60 th birthday party today At the red lion 26 of us Can not say one negative thing about are. Day it's a 10/10 from me The lady ie manger organized it Spot on no mistakes All are food was hot and very tasty Portions very good The staff were a great team young and brilliant Even when there's 6 kids running riot Very patient I would 100 % recommend the red lion Thanks again to all the team Regards. Recommended by family member who has been many times before. We took a ride out from Dartford to Eastbourne and stopped off here to see for ourselves what the fish was like. We knew it was cash only so not a problem. We arrived when it opened at midday and placed our order and it was cooked to order and brought to our table. The entire meal served on a warm plate and food nice and hot too and served directly from the fryer. We had the cod which was cooked to perfection, with light crispy batter and flakes of white fish (no grey in sight like some other fish we have had elsewhere). Chips so nice, proper chip shop chips and all washed down with a nice cup of strong tea. If you’re in the area or out for a drive as we were, then definitely pay this place a visit. Nice warm and friendly welcome is waiting for you and some smashing fish and chips.

Amazing lunch today, 3 courses for £10 and the food was delicious, all courses served in good time and the hot. Service was lovely by all the girls. You can’t go wrong for that price and the pub had a nice atmosphere.

Most of our food tonight was reheated! Normally no issues. Please don't we'll me reheated food!

Lovely food , really tasty!! Love there curry sauce and there spring rolls are dynamite Been using for a long time and never had an issue staff are friendly and premises are clean and modern Absolutely recommend but call early on a Fri and sat eve as can get very busy

We use this Fish and Chip shop about once a month, the staff are very friendly and the food is always excellent. We phone our order through in advance, it’s always ready to collect when I get there. It can be extremely busy in the summer so be prepared to wait, it is worth it.

Ended up cooking dinner after no one would eat them! The chips were so hard and burnt, honestly the worst chips I’ve ever had! And the young lady that served us has a foul mouth (chatting behind the counter with colleagues constantly using the F word) very disappointed as wanted a night off from cooking!

Ordered a take away and having just moved to pevensey we had no menu or any idea it it would be any good. I phoned and asked for recommendations and dietary needs. They were very helpful and advised me on collection of what part of our meal I could not eat

Food was delicious and worth the money. Cheapest place in eastbourne and really nice good quality food. Delivery driver was really sweet and pleasant no negatives with my recent experience

We moved to Pevensey recently and The Red Lion is our new “local”. It’s warm and inviting, the staff are lovely and the food is always brilliant, portion sizes are good and quality of food is on point. Prosecco deals would be amazing as it does put us off slightly the price of a bottle compared to Tesco next door but if you want a night out then it is what it is! We are regulars and enjoy our time here. Music on a Friday/Saturday night would be great instead of Sundays but that’s just us im sure others like it on a Sunday.

Much improved since a refit. Lovely friendly staff and great coffee. So much cleaner and food piping hot.
