What a great seaside venue. Happy atmosphere and if you want quality trades this is the place for you.

Lovely location good food. Would give it five stars but the chap behind the bar was the most miserable I’ve encountered with no please or thankyou let alone the hint of a smile.

Fantastic venue whatever the occasion or even just for a drink and proper pub grub with an amazing view of the beach from ur table. The staff are friendly, attentive and happy to help.

People were great that served us, just had a bowl of chips but they were fluffy and crispy. Great day out just on the beach front enjoying the sun

The owner, was not very welcoming. No Parking My mother is 86 and found it difficult walking from the public car park. Food presentation was poor. Dads lasagna was fresh out of the microwave and sufficiently nuked at the edges. The waiter just gave us a bunch of cutlery and didnt even bother to lay the table. Salad comes with everything I got chips instead of new potatoes. No menu just a cheap chalk board from the pound shop that was falling to bits, and the owner/manager just watched my 83 year old dad struggle with it to take it to the table. Definately not worth the money. Poor Poor Poor. Over priced. I will go again the next time i am there, just to see if the standards have improved. Im not surprised there was just a handful of people.

Lovely afternoon in the sunshine ladys behind the bar serving where brilliant..food was delicious highly recommended and free parking for 1 hour but make sure you get a ticket from the machine 😀

Lovely staff. Great location. Good selection of draught beer/lagers. I didn't eat here. Would definitely return. Only reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere was it was the middle of the afternoon.

Sadly after several visits, the staff have not even acknowledged us. The service is efficient but not friendly, unless you are part of a small clique of regulars. Their website states that “you’ll feel like part of the family before you finish your first drink” which is untrue. After five years of visiting, they have not made us feel like that once.

Marvellous location and good selection of beers and food

No atmosphere whatsoever, bar flies, loud sport on tv’s. Such a shame as it’s right on the beach but avoid!!!!

Really not as expected!!! Food served in cardboard boxes , so awful!! Not on a plate?? ! So loud , full of kids screaming ! Fireworks mmmm , blink and it’s over! Would never return!

Had a lovely Sunday roast outside on the terrace in the sun. Food was great as was the service. Will be visiting again.

We had lunch today, I had the fish and chips.The fish was fabulous but the chips were to thin and over cooked.I would suggest serving thicker fat chips with the fish to make sure that the dish was more authentic.Rhe staff were very friendly and helpful

We go to the Aqua Bar quite often - right on the beach, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good prices. We had a lovely meal today and we'll be be back soon!

I ordered Homemade Salmon fishcakes, new potatoes and salad. What I received was inedible. The pototoes and plate was swimming in butter and the salad was covered in a greasy also inedible sauce, which I have no idea what it was. The response from the person in charge was very rude and aggressive and dismissive. He said they have served 'thousands' of this meal and everyone loves it!! Reluctantly offered me a free half of larger. I didn't eat my meal. It is in a perfect location on the beach, which is what attracts most people. Won't t go again and felt very belittled by his response Expensive for what it is, definitely paying for the view

Great place , beautiful beach, and Pevensey Bay view . Delicious food, a portion of fish and chips massive. Reasonable prices . Definitely recommend.

It's a nice place to stop and grab a drink to sip sitting outside with the sea view. You will even find Walkers marmite crisps there! Did not have food so cannot comment on it but probably it is good so gave 4 stars. Will come back and probably on a weekday :)

Had a lovely homemade pie and chips for £14.95. Personally, I think it's a bit on the pricey side. Food on the beach with a cold drink in the sun during a busy sunday when the air show was on in Eastbourne. There was a mistake with my billing, but they happily refunded me the difference.

Fantastic beach front bar, excellent food and atmosphere. Staff were fantastic and look after their customers well 10/10. We will be back

Superb place right on the beach, and lovely and spacious inside. Can’t wait to try one of the entertainment evenings. One negative comment is the white bread, it is cheap and nasty, really did spoil the sandwich, my husband said the brown was ok. The fish and chips being served looked lovely. We will be returning for a meal but please change your bread!!

Nice when it’s open… but.. Walked for an hour to get to the bar along the beach. Got there at 9.30pm on a Thursday and it was closed…

Absolutely gorgeous cakes. Prices look expensive but are cheap when you see the size of the portions.

We stopped of here on a wet and miserable Sunday, the Dj was playing some great tunes. It was very busy with a lovely local pub atmosphere. Very good service too, definitely recommend

Cold beer, tasty crisps, live music and an unexpected music quiz in the lovely sunshine by the beach. A hard to beat combination.

Sitting beside the beach, geeks like heaven. Just relaxing, eating, and watching the ocean and birds is incredible.

Didn't eat ,but sat in garden so close to the sea fantastic, lovely and clean and modern ,can't wait to go back to eat .

Had a short stop here and decided to have the cod and chips. Last two left! We considered ourselves lucky as it was delicious!

We don't live far from the Aqua Bar It was our first time there. It's a bit of the road, down the side of the council car park. So glad we found it. We all had the crab and prawn sandwiches, come with a little salad and crisps. It was absolutely delicious. Lovely outside area over looking Pevensey beach Will definitely be going back. Handy place to stop for a drink after a walk on the beach.

This is very conveniently placed right by the beach and it's easy to park near by. We had coffee and hot chocolate here, very generous helpings. The menu looked good so looking forward to another visit for a meal

Land lord was fantastic and explained everything that the pub and restaurant had to offer

A variety of meals where had, Roast lamb, Roast Pork, steak pudding & desserts. No complaints from the 8 of us even thou the waiters did make a bit of a hash serving it up. Raffle, play your cards right, DJ & football. Had a great afternoon/evening.

I love the decor and the location is superb. The food wasn’t great though. I ordered a crab and prawn sandwich and got cheap sliced bread, margarine (yuk) and the filling was crab sticks!

What a great find. We went in here after walking from Sovereign Harbour and had a Sunday roast. Wow. What a lovely surprise. A really friendly and airy pub on the beach. Hoping to go back this Sunday

We found the Aqua Bar by chance . Glorious situation at the top of the beach . We decided to stay for lunch and were served an excellent meal at a very reasonable price.

Lovely place. The house is right on the beach front. Summer nights were very enjoyable. Witnessed starry nights after a long time. Morning walk with children. Children playing with pebbles, drinking coffee and adoring morning sun rise. Amazing.

Coffee was appauling..should have had an alcoholic beverage

If you’re looking for a decent cup of coffee do NOT go to this place. My decaf (out of a jar) tasted stale and was served in a cup with a large crack around the inside rim. My husband’s coffee was so strong that even 6 small plastic pots of milk didn’t make it drinkable. We asked for a extra hot milk and we’re offered hot milk in a cup and this turned out to be brown water!! There was a dark scum ring on the inside of this cup and we decided that nothing could be done to make the coffee drinkable - particularly as a couple sitting at a nearby table came over and told us that their coffee had also been very unpleasant. We decided to leave the coffee on the table and leave the venue ( which had loud music playing at 11.30am) On reflection, we should have asked for a refund as these drink were not fit to be served. The coffee left a very unpleasant taste in our mouths - in more ways than one. What a disappointment for a place in a good location situated right on the beach. We will not be returning and if the owners read this review perhaps they would like to donate the £5.00 we paid to Foodbank..

I visited on my own and the staff, food and service was fantastic. A couple of days later my husband and I had a meal early evening. Again the service and food was brilliant and the staff are very friendly. Dog friendly too. However 3 guys on the end of the bar who seemed to be locals were extremely loud and some unsavoury language was being loudly spoken. We tried our best to ignore them, but they really spoiled our last holiday meal. I think I may have seen the lovely barmaid ask them to calm down, but it was such a shame because this restaurant is so nice and in a great location. Thumbs up to the chef and staff. It would have been a 5 from us 👍🏻👍🏻

Stopped for a cheeky bevvy with the missus after out late night jolly in the car with the roof down. Lovely little place that we would go back to again for sure.

First visit here in many years. It’s changed and has improved considerably. Nice large bar area and a great garden overlooking the beach and sea. Will be making more visits in the future.

Came across this place on a beach walk from Norman's Bay to Pevensey. It's right on the beach, the sun was out and the Guinness was cold. What's not to like.

We went there on a busy Friday night but were not disappointed, due to the wonderful weather most diners / drinkers were of course outside taking in the wonderful sea views, so plenty of space in the cooler interior for us! Service was a bit on the slow side but it was extremely bust and to be honest we were in no rush. The crab was delicious, the prawns overflowing the dish, scampi nice a crisp, a decent bottle of white topped it off nicely. Thank you again!

Went to Pevensey Bay twice this week,, absolutely beautiful, very clean and not too crowded. We decided to go to the Aqua Bar for lunch and a drink. Very basic food and variety at good prices. A young lad and girl were extremely busy both days serving meals and clearing tables, both of them were a credit to the Aqua Bar The place was extremely clean and toilets first class.
