This is a local place for me, and it is always consistently good! Great food and menu choice, service is always joyful and efficient !! Went for a lovely lunch today last minute served by Flo & Gabs! They were super friendly, engaging and service was efficient (as my friend was hangry!) lol.

Food and service were fantastic. Our server Lola went above and beyond to provide us with a comfortable and flawless experience. Definitely worth a visit, would absolutely recommend.

Arrived at 11pm on a Sunday - no onsite parking. The closest (paid for) car park is about a 3 minute walk away, but walking from the car park to the hotel at night isn't fun. When trying to pay for parking via the Ringo app it only allows me to pay until 5am! The staff show no empathy and have a very 'not my problem' attitude. UNIMPRESSED!

Really rude girl turned me away and told me they turned the ovens off even though it wasn’t closed yet. Should not close before the closing time. Very unhappy customer.

To apply a 18% service charge (for two dining) is unacceptable and unjustified particularly given the service was pretty average...

We had read the reviews of this restaurant and decided to book for Sunday lunch. Not a good experience, unfortunately ! The portions were small particularly the meat. I chose the Beef!. The meal arrived and I could tell straight away that my meat didn’t appear to be cut from a joint but rather it had come from a pack of beef the sort bought at most supermarkets. Well overcooked and tasteless. Very disappointing.

Could not fault the food or service, will definitely be back

Var en tur i Calverley Grounds for en gåtur og da der kom en regn byge valgte vi at gå ind i denne lille hyggelig cafe. Her er servering både inde og ude. Hyggelig typisk engelsk. Flinke unge som var hurtige og vakse. Et fint tilbud af små retter, varmt og koldt og alt til meget rimelige priser. Vi valgte the og kager og hyggede os mens det regnede. Kan anbefales og vi vil helt sikkert gerne komme her igen.

I’ve made the journey from Faversham to Water Lane just for breakfast here several times and it’s always worth the trip. Food is always fresh and tasty and large portions. Restaurant is in a beautiful old glass house, interesting atmosphere and surroundings are stunning.

Anniversary dinner. Had an amazing time. Very warm welcome. Lovely food. Staff excellent. Really enjoyable experience.
