The service was very good. The house wine was excellent. My friend loved the burger but I thought the haddock was a bit thin and there were too many chips. Overall quite good.

Local pub with a nice atmosphere and great food. Our server, Flo, was really helpful and friendly, answering our questions about a potential Christmas booking. The food was great also, with plenty of options and really well cooked.

Excellent mains and service, our server, in particular was lovely, very helpful and accommodating, we were on table 33 on the patio, lovely spot. The Affogato's were a dissapointment, but we were at a country pub so perhaps should have been wary. Otherwise a lovely late afternoon spent.

Have visited on several occasions, always ordering a pizza which I had enjoyed. This time I ordered a smoked salmon bagel with fries for a change, this was a disappointment being bland and unappitising . The bagel was heavy and thick, not nice to eat. The fries were good! Overpriced. Other family members had pizza qhich was good. The duck salad had fat on the duck slices. Desserts good.

Lovely place!! Me and mine popped in for some lunch on our way down to Hastings for the evening and had a very peaceful meal with some great food. Our server Faye was incredibly helpful and bubbly making our service very sufficient. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

A great afternoon yesterday for birthday celebrations. Service was great, we turned up early but this was no problem, Ben was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were huge! Will definitely be returning again soon.

We turned up without a booking on a Saturday for lunch and although busy we were pleased they had a table. We sat in the annexe around the back which is actually stylish and cosy on a very cold January day, because it's also the location of the open pizza kitchen. Inspired by the oven and the vibe I went for the calzone and my partner had the fish pie. Honestly it was one of the best calzone I have ever had. Pretty much faultless..my partner also raved similarly about her fish pie. We ordered a Chapel Down Bacchus to go with it - as you would in a Kent pub called the Vineyard! Was fantastic. Service was professional and slick, Ben is a cut above your usual Saturday pub server. Would highly, highly recommend and will definitely visit again if in the area. Full marks all at the Vineyard.

Lovely place, warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, we both had the English burger and chips, the salad was very refreshing and everything cooked to perfection.

Joined a group of friends who suggested we meet at the Vineyard as they had heard great things, I’m so glad that they suggested this. The pub has a large garden area which I can only imagine is great in summer, perfect for families. We were sat in the rear of the pub with the pizza oven and it was great to watch. I went for a pizza along with majority of our group and we all agreed how excellent they all were -even more so to see them come straight out of the oven and over to our table within seconds. Gabriel served us on this particular day and again we all could not fault the service.

As a local resident this has been an absolute stalwart banker of a pub for good food, a fine variety of drinks and a relaxing atmosphere. I was, however, extremely disappointed with my experience tonight. The bar area was it's usually jovial and efficient self but our meal (all £80 per head) was very substandard. Apart from taking an age to arrive I'm afraid the quality of the food was very poor. Very overcooked on all levels. Scallops that were like rubber, vegetables that fell apart and steak nowhere near the preferred medium rare. (No red meat in sight). The wine was frankly awful. We tried 4 different bottles between our table of 12. I'm sad to say they were all terrible, even those at a significant premium. For a high-end pub chain this was both surprising and immensely disappointing. I genuinely never complain but I'm just so disappointed with my experience at The Vineyard tonight that I felt something should be said. With any luck things will change.
