Fabulous pizza in the garden of the Catherine Wheel pub. Crispy thin base with lots of choice of toppings.

Good portion to me. I order Salt & Pepper Squid, Crispy Chilli Beef and special fried rice, it's absolutely delicious!

Popped in for brunch with friends. Younger staff were great but the middle-aged waitress appeared to have a bee in her bonnet and needs a lesson in customer service I am afraid. Ordered salmon, avocado and poached egg on toast, and there was a long blonde hair in the salmon. One of our group had a chocolate milkshake which tasted like a glass of milk with a spoon of nesquick in. Wouldn’t go back in a hurry given the choice of cafes in Goring I am afraid.

We visit here as often as we can as we live 200 miles away. The staff always take their time to make us feel welcome and have a chat. I have never come across more accomodating staff and it's definitely the best curry I have ever eaten. My son has additional needs and has a limited diet. Without asking, the staff bring his poppadoms and rice out as quickly as possible so he isn't waiting for his food. And then as soon as he's finished his food they bring more. I couldn't recommend this restaurant and their amazing staff highly enough. To anybody that's thinking of visiting, do. You won't be sorry.

This is a very good restaurant, with excellent food with extraordinary kind personnel. We were surprised to find this level of food in this rather small village

Had a lovely family lunch. Great pub in a beautiful location. The Sunday roast was delicious and a very enjoyble lamb breast. The servce was excellent. Thankyou.

£8 for a hot chocolate, you having a laugh? Over a tenner for some bog standard jacket potatoes with some basic toppings? Daylight robbery. I know Goring is expensive but this place is taking the mick me thinks.

Went here for a quiz. Nice people. The only downside was uncomfortable seating.

This pub is at the moment in the process of new owners, still open for a pint, very limited food, good area for cyclists and walkers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a very long time! The fish was fresh, the batter perfectly crispy, and the flavors were amazing. The chili sauce is a must-try—absolutely delicious! On top of that, the customer service was excellent. Highly recommend this place!

Very disappointing. No food available. Surly barman was " too busy" , despite pub being almost empty, even to heat up a pie on Saturday lunchtime. Nice fire only redeeming feature. Website needs updating.

Long wait for food, took an hour and half between courses, wrong food was delivered caused extra wait, fish overcooked and oily, over seasoned very salty, tomato fondu was basically canned tomato on the plate! Over priced items, waiter very very nice and friendly and apologetic, unfortunately he was let down by kitchen and lack of supporting team

Turned up for a pre booked lunch with our friends, immediately after they were married in Newbury. Restaurant was closed. They had not bothered to notify us and 6 weeks later there is still no apology! Absolutely disgusting way to behave. Don’t deserve to be in business.

A nice pub to end up in after walking along the Thames. Tasty pub bites and good beers. The only disappointment was when I recently fancied a coffee - real decaf and alternative milks would be very welcome!
