Dropped in on spec when driving through. Friendly ambiance, excellent food freshly cooked. Looking forward to finding an excuse to go again.

Oh, where do I even begin with Scott’s Tea Room? It’s a delightful gem hidden in the heart of the village—and, let’s be honest, once you catch a glimpse of Scott himself, you won’t be thinking about tea. Imagine a cozy little haven, with the aromas of freshly baked scones mingling in the air, all served by a man who looks like he just stepped out of a Viking movie set. Yes, Scott is hunky, bald, and bearded, and honestly, it should be illegal to make tea and cakes while looking that good. The tea selection? Impeccable. The cakes? Life-changing. But it’s the service that’s the real star here. I mean, this guy pours tea like it’s a ritual handed down through generations of ruggedly handsome warriors. Scott can bring out a Victoria sponge like he’s presenting Excalibur, and somehow, the cup of Earl Grey tastes better because he poured it. Need sugar with that? Just catch his eye—trust me, it’s the only sugar you’ll need. If you’re passing through the village, make it a priority to stop here. Come for the tea, stay for the Scott. And if he happens to flex while pouring your milk? Well, that’s just a bonus.

Omg, Where has this Nostalgic cafe gone??? I first come here over 50years ago when my father was a truck driver... Proper cafe! What shame You now sit in the cafe looking at customers coming in & out of the supermarket ( in the same room)!!!! Some of the old staff are still here which was the only thing nice about my visit Lol I guess I'm getting old

A beautiful old pub dating back to Tudor times with a crazy low ceiling and loads of interesting pictures and ornaments. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Had a 2 course lunch - the best creamy cauliflower soup that we’ve had for ages followed by ham eggs and chips for me and veggie lasagne for her ladyship. All delicious. Definitely coming back (even though we live an hour away) - on a Sunday for a roast I reckon.
