The best restaurants serving Default food in Darwell Rother South East

Wonderful, hub of the village. So friendly and fresh tasty food. We both had the full breakfast. Local ingredients and so tasty. The atmosphere was fabulous, we left feeling we'd made friends with the owners, the regular clients, and of course It's Dog friendly! Really Worth a visit anytime. Will be making it a regular stop off each time we come up.

This has to be one of the friendliest establishments I have ever frequented. Amazingly good quality on all fruit and vegetables and so lovely to see how much they support local suppliers. Highly recommended

Delightful garden-located cafe with a varied, interesting and great-value menu. So many great choices- how to decide?! The serving team is professional, friendly and helpful; they went the extra mile today accommodating my current mobility issues. This is a charming cafe that offers beautifully cooked and presented tasty food and delicious ice cream at keen prices. Highly recommended.

We went here for dinner. The menu has good options, the food was nice and the service was great with the staff being friendly and helpful.

Very Dog friendly great coffee- food looked amazing but we didn't have any as we were on a time constraint. Staff were really welcoming to us and our large puppy

Mo was a very lovely,welcoming lady, on the till, and the chef Clare does a handsome B2 will definitely be back ,glad I turned around and came in, also the waitress jem was very polite when bring out my food , thanks to you all great team.

Went mid afternoon so as had only just opened it was very quiet. Had the daytime offer on burritos, which included chips, a drink and chicken hot wings, for under £10. Food was great, really tasty and very filling. Loud Mexican music was a bit much for me, but to be expected in a Mexican restaurant! Will visit again in the near future. Recommended.

Only stopped for one drink but what a lovely pub and garden. A good amount of parking. The interior was old wood floors and beams and took me back years with fond memories of times past. Lovely. A huge garden area, accessible from the bar by quite a few steps. There may be other access points? The sun was shining and it was perfect. Two roads run by the side of the pub but any noise was only minor from both. Food is served but I didn't have any on this occasion. Service was with a smile and felt genuinely warm. If, in the area again, I would love to return. Would recommend, at the very least, a quick visit while passing or a longer one if in the area on a visit or holiday.

Very dissappointed 2 cheese ploughmans, one tomatoe juice, 1 pint of Harveys.....no ambiance, freezing cold room, no service £45! Ploughmans two thirds of the board was taken up with an apple cut in half and a load of just plain rocket. Very dissappointed will not return.

Stayed for a night with some friends, such a lovely place. The food was fantastic and the staff were so welcoming. Would love to stay again.

Such a beautiful country pub, staff were amazing, helpful, and friendly. Food was yummo, such a historic building. We are from Australia, so it was so good to interact with the lovely staff. Thank you very much for your hospitality, 👌👌👏👏👏

Just to say to Alex & his colleagues. Thank you all for a lovely evening and stay. Could not have been made more welcome in a proper traditional pub. The Rose and Crown definitely one to put in book. Great top quality choice of drink choice (Especially the wine menu, hence the piccy). Food & breakfast totally hit the spot. Room exactly what I wanted, quiet, quaint & comfy. As for the staff & service couldn't have been more welcoming, plus always a smile on everyone's (Genuine) faces. Great stay, and real proper place, cheers 🍻

Stumbled upon this cafe on the way to Rye. Staff very friendly and the food was good. Plenty of regulars. Lots of parking too. They also sell cards.
