Still a cafe , now has morrisons attached instead of clothes store , food is out there too , i had the spicey chicken wings , lush !

Now a Morrisons food, fish and chips, chicken takeout. NO BIKER ATMOSPHERE-GONE! All the information on the wall-gone ! Eat your breakfast while people are food shopping around you. Morrisons are relying on the rich reputation of the Route 1066 cafe behind their franchise. Will not be returning.

Our go-to stop on the way down to Hastings.

I decided to make a visit on my way to work last night to try out the new fried chicken restaurant they have opened. I was pleasantly surprised the bbq chicken wings were delicious and the southern fried chicken thigh was also nice but was under seasoned but was perfectly cooked. The fries where very nice but the portion was way to small. I did have to wait over 5 mins for someone to finally come and serve me and was the only person waiting but the wait was worth it just wish the portion of fries was bigger as at best there was about 20 fries at best! But I will go back and order again price wise is ok no different to anywhere else and chicken flavour and cook is spot on!

There’s no excuse for bad tea and coffee at any cafe. Probably the worst tea and coffee we’ve ever had. Staff didn’t like it when I complained. Slammed another one on the counter to me. Breakfast was quite good though.

It was so busy even for a Sunday, food took 90 minutes to arrive. Shortly after our order was taken they stopped taking any more orders. Although probably hard to judge it was left a bit too late and should have closed the orders a bit earlier. I felt sorry for the kitchen staff.

This used to be a popular spot for bikers and everyone but sadly now it’s just a Morrisons supermarket with an expensive food counter. All atmosphere gone. I’ve been going there for many years but not again.

Recently refurbished and honestly it's looking great. It's clean the staff are happy and friendly its welcoming and you can buy groceries. Still very much a biker friendly spot but much better

Used to be a nice quirky biker cafe. It's now a Morrison shop with an average modern cafe that has no appeal to bikers Then outside garden is a dump tbh. Won't be back so custom cafe is THE place to be. That's a proper biker place.

Super bikers cafe but open to all. Completely revamped and I like it. Now open from 6.30 till I think 10.30. It is now a cafe, shop and fish and chip shop. Nice job

Just letting you all know that the 1066, -as was, no longer exists. It’s been sold-on, taken over etc and is now a Morrisons local mini-mart…. There’s still a little bit of food available but if you’re looking to go see bikes, meet-up, etc, forget it. Another cafe gone….☹️☹️☹️

A friendly American style diner on the A21 at Robertsbridge with a two wheel focus and a welcoming atmosphere to all, a good cuppa tea served (highly important). Supporters of local produce and the Kent Air ambulance. A great place to visit, meet and eat!

Lovely place good food and a friendly place. When I arrived I got welcomed by some locals having a smoke outside, which made me felt welcomed (it’s not just a bikers cafe, everyone is welcome) Breakfast No1 was £6 well worth it.👍👍👍👍👍

Route 1066 Cafe is a fantastic roadside stop on the London Highway between Hastings and London. For a busy road cafe this is number 1.it does not pretend to be any thing else, enjoy your breakfast, I always do.

Sadly cannot comment on the food as I sat there for 35 minutes before asking when my breakfast would be ready to be told . Oh haven't you had it yet. Unfortunately had to ask for my money back as needed to get back to work. Will not be coming back

I have been meaning to visit this legendary roadside café for ages. I wish I hadn't left it so long. As a long-term vegan driving a modest car to a bikers haunt, it wasn't an obvious place to stop, perhaps, but the staff put together a great vegan breakfast for me, they were very friendly, and I will be back. *Apparently this eatery features in the 2012 film 'Byzantium', featuring Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan

Have been coming here for years...it's the worst I have ever had today...chips were cold...beans cold ..egg not cooked sent it back...my partners breakfast was all cold ....won't eat there again when that so called chef is cooking..yuk!!!!!!

Mo was a very lovely,welcoming lady, on the till, and the chef Clare does a handsome B2 will definitely be back ,glad I turned around and came in, also the waitress jem was very polite when bring out my food , thanks to you all great team.

Worst burger Iv ever eaten, or attempted to eat. One bite and had to dash it out the window. A £1.59 rustler burger is of better quality than this £8 abomination

A lovely bunch of people and staff, have been coming here for years in my bike and always enjoy the experience. I ordered two large breakfasts for myself as I was hungry and they put it on one plate for me, bloody wonderful. The staff are absolutely amazing and make it such a lovely atmosphere Love you guys Lewis

Bad value for money. Stingy portions watery coffee expensive.

Food was reasonably priced and portions huge. Service was friendly and fast. Garden was pleasant, tables and toilets were clean and clear of rubbish

Huge disappointment. Drove up specifically to have liver and bacon only to have them take my money and 3 minutes later tell me there was none left. Ordered scrambled egg on toast instead and was suggested an omelette I said I would prefer scrambled egg. May as well have had the omelette because what I got was overcooked. Staff were nice and polite but overall a very disappointing visit.

Visited past Saturday - the service and staff were friendly and approachable, it has a great vibe. Food was good and well presented, good value for money but the tea was expensive. Refill was nice. Will be visiting again

A real bikers cafe Passed on a regular basis and although I do not bike, always wanted to try, not disappointed, staff were friendly, had an extensive menu, I am of an age where liver and bacon holds some nostalgia and was cooked to perfection. Not your taste there are plenty of other things to tempt you.

Was looking forward to visiting, but wiil not be coming back. Food was at best average and mostly not hot enough. The bacon was totally overcooked and reheated and dried up. We also waited 45 mins for our breakfasts to arrive. One chap actually asked for his money back and left. The strange thing was, it wasn't even busy, 6-8 people. The atmosphere was strangely lacking too, maybe everyone was fed up waiting for their food? Very poor cafe!

Visited today (sun) it was fairly busy and the queue was out the door but we got served swiftly by a lovely friendly lady at the counter on the till,who assisted us in what was good to order as the choice was very large so we ended up going for a (B1& B2) sadly it took over an hour to arrive and wasn’t very hot when it did! , the young lad who delivered it to our table outside apologised for the wait and blamed the new till system, which everyone except the chef was coping with! Thankfully there was lots of bikes to look at and friendly bikers to talk too, we will return and hopefully things will get better under the new ownership, and the chef will be able to cope more under pressure , also disabled toilets wouldn’t go a miss as access was very limited, good luck for the future

Not everyone's cup of tea but my family had a great time here. It was clean and the staff were authenticly honest and friendly. It's a no-frills place and that was fine by me. It did what it said on the can very well. Plenty of parking. I'm not a biker although I enjoyed the biker themed surroundings and found the bikers to be friendly and polite.

Thought the food would be good but it's just ok. Nice place though

A rest stop for the weary traveller or more likely the biker who planned a ride out. They serve typical cafe food and drinks to be consumed indoors or outside. The food is tasty enough, but I don't recommend the packaged cakes, having had the most disappointing bakewell tart in my entire life (Age 49) from here. Good size carpark means you should be able to find a space on most days.

Went in for breakfast on what I think was one of the hottest days so far this year the staff were amazing in the heat food was great service was great think it was one of the best breakfasts yet any how couldn’t resist but to treat the girls to an ice cream hope you enjoyed ladies and thank you for working so hard even in that heat

Great spot for bikers in East Sussex on a ride. Nice simple and tasty breakfast with possibly the worst coffee ever. But the vibe is right.

We passed this cafe on the way in to Hastings and made a note to visit on the way back. I didn’t feel like stopping on the return journey so passed but then the sat-nav alerted me to a load of traffic so I turned back when we hit the roundabout. So glad I did. Proper locally sourced food cooked to order and cooked very well. Perfect eggs and great service. Cafes like this are sadly a rarity these days. We aim to return later this year and will be stopping on both the way in and way out.

Very much still in keeping with traditional roadside cafes of old ,mugs of tea, good food, and some interesting decor.Popular with motorcycle riders and other road users wanting a coffee without the overpriced facilities so often found on today's roads. Visited mid-morning, so a bit quieter.

We stopped here on our return from Scotland, great atmosphere and staff very friendly. Curry was excellent and was the wife's jacket potato. We will return.

Always a joyous venue to drop by, however this visit was to show off this infamous venue to a fellow biker from South east Asia, had coffee whilst marvelling the various stunning machines that drew up 🤠

What a great biker cafe. I must have been down that road a squillion times but never saw it. Met up with friends there. This is a real biker cafe, no hipster nonsense here. I'll definitely be back.

Great place to stop for a bite or drink

We must have driven past this cafe hundreds of times doing the journey from London to Hastings to see family but have never stopped in. Today, the A21 was temporarily closed, and we were advised by the police officer at the road block that the road would re open within half an hour, so we headed back to this cafe to grab a coffee. The young lady behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming. The cafe was clean and inviting. There is a shop at the back of the cafe for all things "biker" so you can grab a leather jacket with your coffee if you so wish to 🙃 There are outside tables and also a small garden area, which I can imagine is lovely on a sunny day. All in all, we enjoyed our visit, and this is somewhere we will definitely visit again

Friendly, value-oriented cafe on the A21. Lots of character, interesting collection of recent and older biker photos/memorabilia. Food is mainly breakfast type offerings, available all day. The breakfast was fairly basic but tasty and super value. Great place to stop off.

Waited an hour for a fry up. Was told would be 30 minutes; not sure how anywhere can think it's acceptable to take one hour to cook a fry up. Food was okay what you would expect.

Hate to do this, but man, the place has gone downhill. Waited for an hour for our breakfast order, and the place was not busy. Then the finaly gets to us and it was really disappointing.

Good & popular bikers cafe excellent value breakfasts indoor & outdoor dining. Small bike shop for clothing & bits too. Be mindful if coming in from St John's Cross as they are often in the old campervan site in a safety van taking pictures. 30 mph area. Will cost you a lot more than lunch.

I had a nice burger and hot chocolate with my mate. Lot's of biker's was there today we had a great ride in this beautiful sunny day 🤘 "Ride safe" and "Rock and roll"
