Tried this place for dine in for the first time after hearing the food was great, the food was in fact great.. very tasty couldn’t fault it. However, the atmosphere wasn’t great, we walked in despite booking the table in advance but he seemed very confused and wasn’t expecting us. The waiter seemed grumpy the whole time, didn’t crack a smile.. I asked to take left overs home and said exactly what I wanted to take and said no to the other bits he asked but he still packed the whole lot. The service was slow.. didn’t seem too bothered about taking our order and it wasn’t busy, 3 tables taken. Gave us a pudding menu and we sat for half an hour before we just gave up and asked for the bill. I’d probably order a takeaway but I wouldn’t eat in again. Also the restaurant says on the outside fully licensed and air coned which didn’t have either. And no mention of this on their website when booking.

Very enjoyable meal, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The most underrated Indian restaurant in Bexhill.

Old school decent curry. Love it here. Sunday you can't fault the buffet deal. We've had a takeaway from here too. No alcohol is sold on the premises so you have to take your own.

i have been to the famous Moti Mahaal in Delhi and it is not better. excellent friendly service here and the tandoori special chicken is fabulous and it virtually melts in your mouth. it is so, soft. likewise the chicken jalfrezi. i have been to india, pakistan and bangladesh and this was the best. people write here and say its best in bexhill. surely the best in sussex and even further out. highly recommended

This is the best eat in and delivery Indian meal ever. We have been customers for 20 years plus and they never ever get it wrong. Beautiful food, generous portions and staff that feel like family from the first day. Keep up the great work Ali!

Thursday I want to have a takeaway. I went online to order but decided to call and pick up the food as I just live two doors away and decided to call. When they answered the phone I was told that I couldn't collect because they don't do takeaway. I got confused because I could order my food online but I couldn't do a takeaway by phone.

Nice food but we had a two hour wait to be served after ordering. It was busy though despite it being a week day evening Parking is on-street in local residential roads There is a buffet deal which is good value

Very rude & unfriendly waiter. Asked for two separate bills at the start - we got one bill so had to work out who had what at the end. The waiter threw the dishes of food on the table. Cigarette smoke wafted through the restaurant whilst we were eating. Waiter didn’t ask us if we were okay or if we wanted a desert or coffee. Very poor service. We won’t be going back to this restaurant.

Terrible staff. Unwilling to give clean plate when asked. Rude stubborn, only conceded when other customers supported us.

This is easily the best curry house in Bexhill. Forget all the others.

Excellent service! I ordered a delivery from here, the food get here quick - and I gave very vague directions. (Sorry for that). Despite this food came quick, was hot when arrived, and I got a free naan bread. Would definitely recommend, best Indian I’ve visited in a while! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good food, unfortunately we were there for 3 hours on a Sunday night. Obviously short staffed but no offers of extras, free coffee, etc... even with the huge delays. All very friendly but be prepared it may not be quick.

A cosy place to eat and lounge over a long dinner. Food is cooked beautifully and it is the only Indian I walk away having had a great culinary experience without feeling morbidly obese! My favourite go to restaurant in Bexhill. No corkage is brilliant too.

Had a takeaway and quality can be hit/miss at best but on this occasion I was shocked to find a long piece of wire in the chicken of my curry. Had I not been looking, and eaten this, it could have been very damaging. Partner rang to complain and it was apparently looked into. We eventually decided to try the Bengal again, not even offered a complimentary meal, refund or the like. I didn't actually receive an apology. Wish I had taken this further instead of relying on the trust or goodwill of the Bengal. Won't be using again.

We always have a fantastic meal here. The service and staff are wonderful and you can take your own alcohol, which works out really well and the corkage is really reasonable. The only negative thing I would say is that the onion bhajis are a bit small.

Have just started using this restaurant, so far very good. Banquet menu very reasonable and food really nice. £3 corkage charge as no alcohol license. Will be back.

Ordered a takeaway 60.00 food was tasty said wait time 45 to 1 hour time 8n total nearly two hours by which time we were losing the will. No deduction or discount off next meal, poor service.

New Year's Eve and we were looking to try out a fresh restaurant. We were apprehensive but the proof was in the eating which was highly rewarding for us both. We are used to another local restaurant which has wonderful food. We found Bengal Brasserie to be very acceptable. We'll be returning for further takeaways. Restaurant itself looked very inviting as I awaited my takeaway. Well done all.

Ordered a delivery. Seemed to have gone down hill a bit. Madras was watery and bland. Special rice was a tiny portion. Just all bland except from the onion bhajis , perfectly flavoured. Have they a new chef? Cos he needs to taste what he sends out food. Waste of £48.

Visited for the 1st time. Group of 4, we had poppadoms, starters and mains and all prices were very reasonable. As you bring your own alcohol it means that the bill is reduced and it's no hardship to byo. Tandoori chicken starter was good and the special Monsoon curry was favoured. I had lamb korai but was disappointed that the lamb was quite tough so you might be best going for chicken dishes. They also do take away and this seemed more popular than sit down and for a Saturday evening it was quiet.

Good the restaurant is open again two very enjoyable evening there food excellent. Great food , great service, need to take your own wine & beer but help keep price down for good night out and really great food. Try the chicken Monsoon this dish get my 5 stars as do many more 😋. Not visited in the restaurant for a looooong time. Mainly as it's been take away only for a long time. Ate in tonight on buffet night, and I just couldn't fault it. Everything was lovely with the usual eclectic service that goes with this place. Just so pleased the eat in is available again. Remember, bring your own alcohol. I will be back soon ,thank you .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Order was 2 hours late, they sent us the completely wrong food and missed out food, when we asked for the correct food the manager was absolutely vile towards us and point blank refused to give us our money back or food and said we were lying to get free food!!!! Not to mention the food was also cold and the portion sizes - small for what your paying. Very upset with how we were treated and they would have robbed us our money if we hadn’t gone down and demanded either our money back or the correct dishes. No customer service at all and they have now lost 11 customers. The manager needs to be re-trained in customer service as he was rude and aggressive. Not a nice restaurant at all - first time in my whole life have I ever felt the need to complain about any restaurants. Awful place, Food very average, Service was the worst I’ve ever had.

ordered around 5:30 and was told to expect it to be read at 7. got the food at around 7:45 and after spending near to £150 items were missing. we called and were met with rudeness and refusal to provide the food we payed for. so a member of my family went down to personally demand the food where they were met with an incompetent manager that openly admitted to his mistake then retracted his comment on the mistake claiming he wasn’t “liable”. the missing items were brought out but no form of even slight refund was supplied. so they have now lost business from 14 people. disgusting wait time and service

We were told an 45 min wait for our food and we waited patiently and 2 hours later we received the food which tasted nice, When spending nearly £150 on curry, and then missing a curry and a bread from the order you would expect a business to appreciate a mistake considering the long wait and fix the order. Not to be yelled at violently not only down the phone. but then when going down to the restaurant to be aggressively yelled at over £10 worth of missing food. Being called liars and no refund would be issued. Please be careful when spending your money here if it’s not all there you will be called a liar and scammed.

Ordered the day before to enable a punctual and well planned event. Staff very helpful. Food hot tasty and great quality. Good menu with depth. Highly recommended. We are new to the area having moved here recently from South London where there are many fine Indian restaurants - this is a great establishment. If you haven't already tried the Bengal Brasserie then give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Very pleasant staff. Good delivery time. Majority of the time food comes hot, but odd occasion only warm. The last time I had a meal delivered I had a chicken mossala although red in colour tasted just like chicken korma. This said I would definitely recommend them

This is the 3rd takeaway we have had since moving to Bexhill a few months ago, and, as ever, it was absolutely amazing. I ordered online earlier in the day. The food arrived 1/2 an hour early, was piping hot, and absolutely delicious. Very very fresh. Can highly recommend.

For me, this is just the best chicken korma in Bexhill. Creamy and delicious. Lots of tasty chicken. Naan, bombay aloo and pakora, thank you for that!!, all fab. Good delivery tine and toasty git. What’s not to love here? I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve never been in here but had many take aways from there and I’ve never had a problem with them service is great normally on time very rarely more then 15 mins late.

Best Indian restaurant in the town.

We had not had a takeaway from here in a long while, so decided to give it a go, I ordered online through their own website, it was easy to do, and i asked for food to be near as possible to eight, and it was within a few minutes......food was hot and delicious, whole onion bhajis and fresh nan bread that was still warm.......both curries were full of flavour, the chicken was breast meat and succulent, it was very good quality, and we will be returning soon!!!

This is a good Indian restaurant. Nicely decorated, good service and lovely food at the right price. Better value than ever now it is BYOB.

Evening meal for two in a place we have never been to, but which is just around the corner. It is compact, but not cramped, so the ambience is enhanced by the chatter. food was served quickly and was extremely fresh tasting and delicious. Portions are good, too. Menu is full of choices and I think the dearest course was only £13, so a meal for two with a couple of drinks is less than £50. Will return (did have a takeaway a week later which was just as good). POssibly the best Indian restaurant in Bexhill.

I visited tonight with family, to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary and my brother in laws birthday. The food was outstanding! The portions were very generous and tasted delicious. The best curry I’ve had ever. The staff were welcome and friendly. They tended to our every need and we didn’t feel rushed at all. I would definitely recommend and will be back again soon!

Found the Bengal brasserie and ordered.Checked trip advisor after wards and thought oh dear.How wrong can previous reviews be.Onion Bhagis good. Chicken and veg dahnsak great, korma good and portion sizes very good.Have no hesitation in using this takeaway again.

We've eaten here a few times. Food and service is good. Beware of you're a gourmet society member; although they advertise Monday to Sunday, they wouldn't allow us to use our card on a Friday.

Tried to go for lunch here at 1250. Open sign was up. Asked for a table for 2. He tried to get us to have a takeaway instead. I asked for a table again and he hesitated for ages and clearly didn’t want us there. Are you open or not? Guess he just wanted an easy lunchtime and finish early. Terrible service!

This used to be very good here when we have been previously, with the food being good and the service equally as good.

Went here tonight as a treat but we were disappointed. Firstly we checked their website before going to check for the usual Sunday banquet. It was advertised at £10.95 on the website and included coffee.

Whether we sit in (as we did this time) or have a takeaway, the food is excellent. If we have a takeaway delivered it always turns up promptly. I would certainly recommend the Bengal Brassier

Got takeaway from here after trying certain higher rated Indian restaurants in Bexhill - Bengal Brasserie was considerably better, good quality meat, and fresh flavours, will definitely be back!

I always use bengal brasserie over other local take aways but tonight they let me down. They said they dont deliver even though the menu states 1130 they couldnt give me food at 1020. I told them i was reviewing and they did t carr. Shame!

Booked a table for four. Waited over 2hrs for goid yo arrive. More interested in take out service than actual customers. Rude staff......shame as the food is ok.

Went for a family meal and after an hour we still hadn’t had any food.. I continued to ask 2-3 more times, after 1hr 30min I was told it would be another 15min so we decided to leave. The staff were so rude I’m still shocked. We will not be returning here.

Another great Indian take-away meal. Ordered as usual on ‘just eat’ and delivered promptly. Always quality food with lots of choices on the Menu. Great dishes for vegetarians too. This is our ‘go to’ restaurant for an Indian take-away meal.

Good could do with a bigger spicy pompadom food beautifully cooked and correct serving temperature staff gave a great service

I like this restaurant. The food is good. Lovely flavours and not too oily. I particularly like the vegi options as they will do quorn with any sauce. I like a hot curry and quorn with the Mirchi sauce is delicious!

Went with a friend recently on a Friday evening. Place was about half full, not that busy. We both ordered karai dishes, which should be served sizzling hot in an iron bowl on a wooden base - but ours were both served lukewarm. They were both also quite bland, with very little spicy flavours. We had waited so long to be served that we didn't complain as we were so hungry. There are far better Indian restaurants in Bexhill than this.

The food is excellent, the decor of the restaurant is ok. It is quite a small place but staff are very pleasant and helpful. The menu is very good and varied. The prices are reasonable. Would recommend.

Poor service, waited 2 hours for main course! No apologies no complimentary drinks as promised. Home delivery just as bad after overhead driver talking with owner. Won't be going back. I will say that all the Indian restaurants I have used in Bexhill are the same, just-eat orders take president over anyone sitting in the restaurant. Poor show.

Bexhill is blessed with great curry houses. This is one of the best hard working and great service, not easy with two other curry houses nearby. Strongly recomend.

Often overlooked, small staff so on the odd night it can be a bit bland when normal Chef isn't on, but most of the time it hits the mark, great traditional Indian fare. The Owner and waiters except Ali can be more than a tad off and eccentric even. But all adds to the charm. Give it a try on the fixed price nights Thursday and Sunday, very much worth a visit.
