The best restaurants serving Default food in Eastney and Craneswater Portsmouth South East

This was my 2nd visit of 2022. It did not disappoint. We had pre-booked the Christmas Afternoon Tea. WOW! A selection of seasonal hot drinks were offered as well as tea and more usual coffee selections. Next, finger sandwiches also with a seasonal Christmas theme, along with pigs in blankets and stuffing balls (served hot). Gorgeous scones with clotted cream and jam. And a lovely selection of bakes, which we had to take away as we were too full! This cafe really is a little gem. Thank goodness I don’t live near enough to come too often or I wouldn’t fit through the door. Loved it!

Had a lovely brunch, with my family, at Melodys today. Portion sizes were very generous, and the food was delicious. So nice to see a genuine independent cafe, still run by a local person who cares for her community.

The perfect place to enjoy fantastic food within Southsea. Perfect location and the food is unbelievable. Fantastic vegan options with lots to choose from, every meal is very tasty. The staff are super helpful and very friendly, recommend highly. 5* from me 👌

It’s Mustard is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed time out, and meeting with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming ambiance. The food was delicious, one of the best Sunday roasts I've had to date. Sorry Mum!! It's clear that care and attention have gone into crafting a great customer experience. A must-visit for anyone seeking a friendly time out.

Recently refurbed for a more contemporary feel but retains a good atmosphere. Always a good selection of beers including cask. Room at the back with a screen for sporting events

We come here several times a week. Maisey makes amazing coffee. She is always welcoming and when she sees us she has our order ready. Our grandchildren love the baby chinos too ❤️ x

I like it a lot! used to be my favorite! the stir fry is fabulous and thailand on fire too! but the crispy pork belly is not amazing. The pad thai is not wow either. However everything else is amazing!!

Extremely Rude lady behind the bar. I was on my lunch break in the pub taking a break from the rain, I intended to buy a drink after relaxing for a bit but she approached rather rudely saying if I wasn’t buying I needed to leave. Despite saying I would she told me it wasn’t a crèche (?) how extremely rude and weird a way to treat customers. I told her I wasn’t disrespectful, I would but in all honesty she put me off.

Not particularly attentive staff. I asked if the Landon salad was smoked bacon and was told "no". I really do not like smoked bacon so I ordered it, however the bacon was smoked, not a problem, I just didn't eat it. I pointed out to the girl that cleared our table that it was smoked when I had asked. Absolutely no feedback from anyone. Won't be returning.

A lovely spot for breakfast, only problem we found was parking being an issue.

I went here with my boyfriend for my birthday dinner and was extremely disappointed. The waiter was extremely rude, but the other two boys were good. when we asked for a few minutes to decide our main course after ordering starters, he insisted we order everything at once and made us feel rushed. While eating the samosa, I found a hair inside it. I requested a straw for my drink, which took them over 10 minutes to bring. The main course was not good – the dal tadka didn’t taste fresh, felt like leftovers, and the garlic naan was covered in garlic paste instead of being properly prepared. Overall, terrible service, poor food quality, and overpriced.
