Great place to come for a quick coffee and cake or a light lunch. Will likely come to try the breakfast some time! Plenty of seating available when visiting during late lunch period on a Thursday. Enjoyed watching people pitching and putting on the green as well (to be tried on my next visit).

Used to love it for cakes, but we feel that every time we go, the size of the cake is different, depending if you eat in or have it for take away...when you pay over £4 for a slice of cake you would expect some consistency and the same sizes. We had some mixed berry cheesecake to take away and the biscuit part was all wet and creamy just like the cheese part, whereas last time it was nice and crispy you could clearly tell the difference. Disappointing

Average busy cafe vibe, dog friendly which is a plus. Fairly quick service, food was ok the cheese toasty was quite sickly (could just be our taste) we all tried it and said the same. Quite pricey food and all slightly different not your usual beef burger etc, so options could be limiting if you’re a fussy eater. The jacket potato was massive. The chicken Caesar wraps were good.

Great stop for coffee and excellent range of cakes.

The food was very good, a little on the expensive side; service excellent. The atmosphere would be good if it wasn't spoilt by the ubiquitous "gay pride" flag signs. Frankly, I get sick of seeing this stuff everywhere.

We recently worked with Bill to refurbish the chairs in the cafe to match their newly redecorated dining areas. Everytime we arrived with a new delivery of chairs the place was always busy. Everyone working was always smiling and happy, not once did we see a grumpy face. There was always a great atmosphere. It's a great place to visit, we always drove away with a smile feeling better when we left than when we arrived, not to mention a pieces of free cake we got. But we will keep that quiet Ssshhh!!!!!

Disappointed with our most recent breakfast experience. £11 for full English, no mushrooms but pay extra £2.50 for a small portion + extra for overpriced hash browns. Would have been happy with the cost (due to location), if the sausages were decent (unfortunately they seemed undercooked & a strange consistency)and it wasn’t all luke warm, including the cappuccino’s we ordered. I don’t think we’ll return as have enjoyed breakfast’s more for almost half the cost at a local cafe. Sorry if this was just an off day as I have had better in the past, not sure what happened on this occasion?

Completely random find, as I was visiting the area. But, what a cute little place! I can see this place buzzing in the summer. I sat outside on a drizzly March lunch and wasn't cold. Reasonably priced food and drink, good-sized portions for an adult and so much CHOICE! Teas, cake, breakfast, lunch etc. Milk alternatives available for vegans Overall a lovely, cosy atmosphere with very friendly staff and easy ordering system. Somewhere I'd love to come back to visit again. Multiple toilets available and it's a Dog friendly café too 🐾

We visited for breakfast on mother's day. It was busy as we expected it might be, however despite how busy it was the staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. The food came quickly and was hot. There was a fairly long queue when we left, but I think that's just a sign of how good it is! We couldn't resist getting some cakes to takeaway! Definitely will be back again. We sat outside and there was plenty of room for our pushchair.

What a lovely place..busy..had to wait for 10 mins for a table but was well worth it..would go again.food was perfect.

Food was adequate while we were in there, we then decided to take some cake home. Only to find that when we got home the advertised cake portions had been cut in half but were charged full price. Will be sticking to parade tea rooms in future who give you the exact slice they show on display. Maybe they thought because we were taking away we wouldn’t notice? The brownie pictured was full squares on display.

Superb out of the way cafe with ample street parking. Amazing food and great value for money. Very popular with short queues to be seated at busy periods. Well worth the wait and hard not to come here when in Southsea!

I have recently come and had food in your cafe. I had some of your chilli jam. I have tried finding the same stuff to buy for home however I have not found any as nice. Do you make it there if so is it a possibility to buy like a jar from you? If it isn't could you please let me know where you got it from ?

Being a local, this is always a staple within the area. If you go past and there is no queue, go in and treat yourself! The cake selection is insane here. Honestly, you will find yourself gawking at the fridge display, wondering how many or what you can eat! During the summer months, people queue out the door for a table (always a good sign). I have eaten here many times and would recommend the food, coffee and the cake. Order at the till and plenty of waitresses or waiters on hand, dog friendly and child friendly. This was the honeycomb Tort, absolutely delicious.

Ordered a GF cake for an 80th birthday. The cake looked amazing and was enjoyed by everyone. Second birthday cake I have ordered and will continue to order in future 😊

The friendly staff found us a seat quickly so we were not waiting long, the food we ordered was reasonably priced, arrived promptly as well as looking and tasting amazing. Would definitly visit again next time we are in the area!

Lovely place, staff are always friendly unfortunately I didn't think the cakes were particularly great today. Chose the coffee and walnut but couldn't really taste the coffee and with the exception of a couple of walnuts on the top that was it, no walnuts in the actual cake. Also a little dry and sickly. Three of the four friends I was with also said their cakes were very sickly. It hasn't put me off though, I will definitely return but I think I'll stick to the cheesecake as that is yummy 😋

Lovely place with amazing cake selection. Food is good quality and not ridiculously priced. Had to knock one star off as the coffee isn't as good as it used to be... We all thought it was a bit 'wishy washy' compared to previous visits

Love this gem of a place! Been coming here for as long as I can remember for breakfasts, brunches, afternoon teas & their amazing cakes!! This time we opted for The Sourdough which consists of: Hummus, pesto, roasted peppers, halloumi, rocket, balsamic glaze on the perfect toasted sourdough - it wasn’t rock hard at all. I also loved the presentation, it was too pretty to eat! Drinks: Latte and a Classic Hot Chocolate

Been here a couple of times but most recently the other week had a lovely experience. All staff are friendly and welcoming, ordering is easy, the food came out at good speed and it was delicious! I love how they accommodate dogs in the outside area and that the outside is covered by a gazebo like structure. Definitely will be coming here again!

Very nice The cakes look amazing.

We attended today for both golf and food. The course really needs a groundskeepers touch. We're not expecting the Agusta but to be provided clubs with split rubber and sheered faces was a touch sad. The food was perfectly pleasant but having to queue down the road whilst there were 8 empty tables was slightly off-putting. Not to mention passing three 6-8 person tables with 2 people sat at them.

First time that I've ever been here, despite living just down the road! I tried two from a great selection of herbal teas, served in a generous pot, and enjoyed a delicious fruit scone with jam. So many cakes to choose from! Plenty of seating at roomy tables; clean and tidy; good atmosphere made better by the smiley, friendly staff who happily got on with their jobs and didn't get in the way in the slightest! No complaints whatsoever! Will definitely revisit soon; and next tome the it's cheesecake!

Good food, staff friendly and a nice atmosphere. Very busy so we were lucky to get a table. They were great with vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options and staff were knowledgeable about the food. It was quite expensive for what it was.

Very very busy when we arrived but went straight through to order takeaway breakfast butties! Service incredibly quick and lovely as always. Food was delicious! This time had a breakfast wrap. It's huge 🤣 Very tasty! Also, self service doggy water and treat area which was perfect and even doggy ice cream to purchase ... Coco was a very happy hound!

Wrote to them via Instagram but had no response...this is what I said. Hi, I came in today after many years of coming into the tenth hole. I have to say that I am very disappointed with the quality of the cakes now. They look amazing, yet when eating they just taste cheap, dry and flavourless. I bought 3 jam and cream cakes today and a lemon meringue the sponge tasted so cheap, worse than a shop bought cake from sainsburys. I'm sorry I'm having to complain but I feel that the value and quality for money is terrible. A real shame 😞 Not like it was a few years ago. Gone downhill.

Favourite place for breakfast. Our trip to southsea is only complete with a visit her. Staff are so lovely and welcoming. Amazing food and atmosphere

Busy, popular place. Staff very helpful and menu has a great variety. They also sell gluten free, vegan foods. There is also a mini golf course accessible via garden.

Very popular tearoom, especially with the locals. Never gone hungry here. Always good food and service. Cake are to die for.

Service was great. I prefer mayo with prawns, rather than the marie rose sauce on offer. No problem, all sorted. Prawns were plentiful but underneath there was no butter on the baked potato, I had to ask for some. We took away cakes to eat later. The mixed fruit cheesecake was beautiful. The coffee walnut cake was excellent but the sponge to butter icing ratio was off and needed a tad more butter cream for the thickness of the cake. The Tenth Hole was recommended by several friends and that was evident by how busy it was. The only thing that marred our experience was we were seated by the waitress in a room located in the center of the premises which had no windows to look out of. This felt claustrophobic and our stay was cut short by the presence of a very young baby that screamed loudly for the duration of our visit. Overall value for money 4/5

Always a great experience, one of our favourite spots in Southsea. Tried the Billy burger for the first time, definitely a winner! And got cake to take away, can't go wrong with any of the choices.

Keep visiting here and come away slightly dissatisfied each time. Coffee nice. But found the cakes dry. And paying a premium price for what seems to be lower than before standards

Find a table, choose your food and drink from the menu, queue, give table number and order, pay. Simple! The food, particularly the cake choice, is very good. Inside can be noisy so, on a warm sunny day, go for an outside table. Service is good, friendly and helpful.

Wow! What a place! Food is absolutely incredible. Service is immaculate. Be aware that this is not a cheap place to go to BUT it is WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Ordered 2 full cakes for my wifes 60th Birthday and they were exquisite. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

A sunny halloumi day at the tenth hole! The food, as usual, was amazing - we couldn’t wait to attack before we even took some pics. The missing star is for the chaos - there were a lot of broken pottery on the ground, people looking around for tables… it got a bit too much at some point.

A lovely cafe with excellent cakes and tasy food for fairly reasonable prices. Although it's often quite busy parking is generally fairly easy and it's a very quick walk to the beach nearby, plus it has a little golf course attached.

I’ve wanted to go for so many years. Food fantastic, service friendly, fast and effective. Atmosphere was lovely, we would have stayed longer but people came and sat behind us and started shouting, no fault towards the staff.

Food very good. Only criticism was having to wait for food having seen a couple of tables had their meals first as my husband had ordered ours before them, having waited more than half hour or so.

First time visiting and will definitely be back soon. Friendly staff, amazing food and cakes that are too delicious to say no to.

£3 for warm (not fresh) orange juice and £4 for a "portion" of chips which is actually a small mug with some chips in. Always had good experiences with the cakes here but overall everything is overpriced for small portions and poor service.

Lovely food, really nice staff. Everything is so clean. I had a lovely chili jacket spud. Very tender beef chunks in a very tasty chilli sauce. Lots of it and a nice salad. A great pot of tea.

The cakes are fabulous and well worth a visit - sadly we didn't order cake. We went for lunch and it was not good. The macaroni cheese wasn't bad but needed more seasoning and cheese. However the cheese toasty was golden on one side and burnt on the other, and contained a thin slice of bright orange - tasteless - processed cheese. It needed every bit of the chilli jam to give it taste! Even worse was the hot dog. Looked impressive - huge - but the hot dog had a thick skin that you could not cut with a knife and was revoltingly chewy. Inedible. Certainly not worth £37!

Love you this place! Best food. You've gotta try the Mac & cheese and do not leave until you've had an amazing cake!

A lovely friendly place with a nice laid-back feel and ample parking. Amazing looking cakes for non vegans but I really wish they would up their game for their daily vegan options! I always seem to miss out as a vegan, and it's so disappointing when you go in and all they have are brownies and today was Eccles cake 😒. I ended up going elsewhere today and got an amazing slice of chocolate peanut butter vegan cake, but honestly I would have rather have got it from the tenth Hole, but unless they raise their game -I'm afraid I won't be visiting there anymore.

Came back to try this cafe again today after our first visit in December. last time we had lunch, this time breakfast and again it was extremely busy. Pros: a really lovely place to stop. Beautifully thought-out multi-ambiance cafe with polite genuinely helpful staff. Very fashionable and in a good location. Great drinks and cakes too. Cons: the breakfast/lunch menu is quite restricted with no alterations allowed making it tricky for someone with food allergies to find something enjoyable to eat. Conclusion: a lovely place to stop for coffee and cakes and chat with friends. this is in so many ways traditional middle England. for foodies like us you may be underwhelmed.

Great food, friendly staff and exceptional cakes. A true Southsea gem and somewhere I always recommend to friends and family. I live in London now but often make several trips down to Southsea and without fail, visit the Tenth Hole each time. I only wish I had one more local!

attempted to dine in as heard nothing but great reviews, didn’t know you had to queue for table. manager approached the table stood awkwardly and questioned us on why we had sat down without queuing, we had no issue with having to queue but the way she said it was not rude and unwelcoming!

Popped in here with a couple of friends at lunchtime. It was extremely busy and we were lucky to get a table inside. Considering how busy the place was it was so clean and the staff were very good at waiting, serving and clearing away. Our table was clean and although we had to queue to place our order, the food and drinks came quickly and was all very nice and warm. My cheese and beans jacket was very tasty with a side salad and dressing. I had this with a pot of tea and it came to just under £12. I also took some large fresh cream doughnuts home. I ordered at the till and these were boxed and bought over to me in a paper bag. The doughnuts were £4 each and a very special treat. I ordered Rolo ones which had Rolos inside and a Toffee Apple one which had Apple filling in with the cream. A very nice place and ideal for a special treat with friends or family.

They have a big selection of cakes, brownies etc. The staff are helpful if you have any allergies and will advise you of what each cake has in its ingredients.
