I Rarely write reviews, but found myself facing the insatiable desire to do so following my visit to Acropolis. The staff Here were extremely friendly, Sohan In particular was very accommodating to our needs. The Food was absolutely exquisite and left our mouths drooling for more following the Feast.

Fantastic South Indian food! I’d come every weekend

My sister and I had an amazing home cooked Sunday lunch at the Chequers last weekend. It was fresh, hot, plentiful and great value for money. The pin was quiet when we walked in but we recurve such a warm welcome we thought we’d stay. Everything was excellent. If you’re looking for a proper pub and a home cooked roast then look no further. We’ll definitely be going back.

I love this place. The staff are the highlight of this place personally for me. They care about each customer and are very attentive. All the food I have tried so far was always delicious and portions are very generous. The place is always sparkling clean. Definitely one of the best places in Oxford.

Such a lovely peaceful meal with the family. Staff are very accommodating, always checking if we need more drinks or extra foods. They serve a fantastic Indian, massive portion sizes at a great price. Very fresh and tasty! They also have classic pub meals on the menu, but totally worth going for an Indian!

A traditional pub, few of the CAMRA pubs left in the area. Reasonable selection and some very good traditional real ale served. The usual range of wine, spirits and cider. A rare treat with locals.

Lovely delicious food and delightful service. Vegetables are always brilliant freshly cooked and the food is always brilliantly spiced

First time back since the refurbishment, All I can say is “I Love It” stopped by with my uncle Frank for a couple Guinness. We ended up having our favourite meal at the brit, Fish and chips! Hayley and Faye if I recall well, made my uncle and his mates feel very welcomed. Will be back for Jim’s birthday.

Stopped just before heading into Oxford. Great service. Glorious sunshine so sat outside. Good is tapas style and perfect for a snack. Wine and beer great choice. Also picked up some Piri-Piri sauce from the well stocked shelves. Go here to escape and enjoy. Owner super friendly.

Cheesburger wasn't fresh almost cold when i received it. I ordered vanilla shake but received banana shake 😞
