The best restaurants serving Default food in Bearsted Maidstone South East

Lovely fish restaurant located on Bearsted Green. Had the scallop starter, which were so sweet. Staff were attentive, friendly, and reassured us that there was no rush in making our choices.

Food ok but not expecting the 12.5 percent service charge on the bill. Will not go back .would have been ok had we been advised of the charge beforehand and I would have objected

We came for lunch had a lovely meal. The staff are all very frienfly and welcoming. Such a great atmosphere. Will be back again very soon.Thank you for a very pleasant afternoon.

The batter on the fish and the sausage and batter was way too thick, absolutely gross!

I've wanted to visit this pub for quite a while now and ended up going just before Halloween. On entering, I didn't expect to see such a wonderful array of ghostly and ghoulish decor - amazing - I wonder why they don't advertise this locally? The pub was quiet but was given a warm welcome by the locals and bar staff. The lunch menu was written on the chalkboard above the bar, offering very reasonably priced filled jacket potatoes and baguettes as well as a decent selection of beers and wines. The pub is dog friendly and mine felt right at home there! Will definitely return....

Very ordinary. Nothing wrong but a bit tasteless and uninspiring. Generally rather disappointing. There was a carvery option which have been a better choice.

First time customer was ok food was very cold chicken was dry in some parts and undercooked in others quiet slimy. Poperdom dips was horrible and narm bread cold and small. Wouldn’t order from here again

My partner got her food before me I had to wait 30mins after then I got my food so we didn't eat together and I didn't get my drink. Atmosphere was very awkward disappointed with the service

We visited in person 3 days ago to enquire about, and make a booking for a family celebration for 12 people on a Saturday evening in June. The supervisor said that she needed to check with the owners that the time would be ok! She took my name and contact details, and said that she would come back to me. She messaged the owners whilst we were there and said she should be able to get back to me within a couple of hours. Almost 3 days later I've heard nothing! I can only presume that they didn't want my custom! Shame, it would have been good customer service to at least let me know that they wouldn't be able to take my booking. Instead they have chosen to ignore and/or forget our the request! Extremely poor treatment!!!

Order never arrived but money taken. No one answering the phone. Terrible service. Would not use again. Gave up waiting

Great place to dine, wonderful English Pub athmpsphere. We even had live music! The dinner was exquisit, Scotch Egg, setting a benchmark, the Ribeye cooked perfectly to the point, really tasty fish and chips. Friedly and attentive staff. Will come back

I don't think I will be going again, I found it rather shabby inside and out. And as I don't eat out that often, I was disappointed in the fact that I told them I had mobility problems by messenger and the waitress wanted to put us upstairs. I ended up on the ground floor. The food was nothing special. The squid was a bit tough but is notorious and difficult to get right. The Sunday roast was, and I'm sorry for this not a pleasant experience. The roast potatoes was hidden under the meat, which them made soft, not very pleasant I like mine crispy and golden, mine was not! The veg was ok. The beef was not, I took it home for the dog. My husband had the scallops and bass for the main course and the chocolate brownie with coffee, but it all lacked seasoning. But your Yorkshire pud was nice.

Gemma was a fantastic lady provided great customer service very helpful and friendly she was amazing She went out of her way to get a specific drink and she came with the right drink and gives us a great service
