Just love it here. Booked to treat my Mum for afternoon tea for Mothers day. The food was really amazing. All pre-ordered and available to choose savoury sandwich options. Opted for coronation chicken, smoked salmon, prawn and ham. Yum!!! Food was so fresh and could tell it was put together with care. Millionaires shortbread was to die for!! I could eat that for days. I opted for no prosecco as was driving but lovely staff insisted we take the miniature bottles home for another time. Can’t fault the Cavendish. We thank friends regularly, for it was them that discovered it. We would visit time and time again. Thank you!

I've wanted to visit this pub for quite a while now and ended up going just before Halloween. On entering, I didn't expect to see such a wonderful array of ghostly and ghoulish decor - amazing - I wonder why they don't advertise this locally? The pub was quiet but was given a warm welcome by the locals and bar staff. The lunch menu was written on the chalkboard above the bar, offering very reasonably priced filled jacket potatoes and baguettes as well as a decent selection of beers and wines. The pub is dog friendly and mine felt right at home there! Will definitely return....

Great place to dine, wonderful English Pub athmpsphere. We even had live music! The dinner was exquisit, Scotch Egg, setting a benchmark, the Ribeye cooked perfectly to the point, really tasty fish and chips. Friedly and attentive staff. Will come back

Phoned the day before and was told that we didn't need to book a table in order to eat, yet the following day we turned up and was refused food as we hadn't booked a table, even though we were told not to book the day before, wasn't able to book one there and then either, staff weren't accommodating and actually quite rude. We ended up going to the fish & chips

Good space, and decent staff but poor/expensive food. Breakfast was OK for our large group of golfers, however a lunch tuna sandwich was so thin of filling I had to complain - for £7.50 was a rip off. everything else about the bar was pretty good, although did close quite early. Suspect other food pricing not great either
