I've been a regular customer of Bearsted Spice for years, and they're consistently amazing. My most recent visit was on Wednesday evening, and the food was exceptionally good - the best Indian food I've ever tasted! The team are also lovely people with great customer service. Highly recommended to anyone in the Maidstone area!

That's the last time we order from this place. Yet again, the order was incorrect. On this occasion, it was barely warm and not up to its usual standard. Phoned and spoke to person, Mo, who identified self as manager. Couldn't really be bothered. Stated they were busy. Bye-bye, Bearsted Spice, sorry.

absolutely disgusted!!!! place the order over the phone and decided to collect as I was told it would be 20 minutes. I went and paid for my order. Then I had to ask where my order was after sitting there for over 35 minutes to be told at first they couldn't find it. Then I was given my order which had been sitting out the back, chicken dry as old boots. All I got was a smile. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here

Brilliant food and service, has been at the location for a good number of years now

Has always been delicious but after my last order was watery and completely tasteless (we tried 3 different currys) stale popadoms, bland onion bhajis and bombay aloo. and a veg curry consisting of frozen mix veg. I am reluctant to try again.

When we moved to Maidstone we struggled to find a decent Indian takeaway. Since coming across Bearsted Spice we haven't gone anywhere else. Food always arrives hot and fresh, service provided is polite and professional.

Ordered a take away on 10/09/22- A main dish was missing from the order. Contacted the restaurant and they said ‘someone forgot to put it in the bag’ and asked if I could collect it, no that’s why I ordered a delivery. Although this was disappointing the restaurant did re-delivered the dish within 30mins, only down side the rest of the meal was cold so spoiled the evening. Restaurant didn’t offer an apology on the phone.

Best Indian takeaway in Maidstone. Mo always delivers an outstanding service and the food is beautiful. We’ve ordered 10/15 times and never received a bad meal.

Tried the Bearsted Spice for a change from our usual takeaway, it was the worst takeaway we have ever tried to eat, I don’t know what chicken they use, it was inedible, needless to say we won’t be having a takeaway from here again.The chicken was not tender it was like trying to eat lumps of rubber.

I have had several and various dishes cook from this takeaway. All have been extremely tasty and satisfying. I I I Do not hesitate to recommend this takeaway for Indian cuisine.

For me it's hard to find a decent Indian takeaway. This was my first order and would definitely order again! Ordered a chicken naga, chana masala & roti. The roti was a bit chewy though so hopefully this will be better next time. The chicken was good quality.

Ordered last night 2/10 maybe it was an off night for the take away but for me the food was very disappointing. I ordered a Rogan Josh and didn't recognise it when it turned up. Wrong colour strange taste and ended up on the bin. Onion bhaji had a stale texture and where like chewing rubber. Made me think they weren't today fresh. Poppadoms were soft and stale also. Other dishes ordered were eaten but all who ate really didn't rate what they ordered. Safe to say we won't be returning.

If your searching the internet for an Indian takeaway look no further. This is a very friendly good quality restaurant. The food is always excellent and on time. I’ve been using this service for a couple of years, I’ve never been disappointed. 👍

The curry was absolutely gorgeous. The staff complete reassured me on which bits were vegan and if they could veganise the dishes I wanted. It was delivered without fuss and arrived arrived early. Will definitely be back. Very soon! Xxx

Ordered 2nd time..Chef Special Lamb Biriyani with Shatkora Beef and Tarka Daal..very tasty! perfectly seasoned and tender meat!Spicy but flavours are really good!

I have had curry's from most places local and this is by far the best I've had, really good quality food not greasy or over seasoned like alot of others would definitely recommend.

Always use Bearsted Spice as the food is always delivered nice and hot and is delicious! They deliver promptly and are always friendly! What more can you ask for?!

We have had three takeaways delivered so far and have been very impressed with the quality of the food especially the meat which has been very tender not chewy and fatty and the chicken has been very tender. The delivery was as expected with freshly cooked food

First time we have tried Bearsted Spice last night and it was superb! The customer service was very friendly, price was great, deliver was very quick but most importantly the quality was excellent! Not greasy, everything was fresh and portion sizes were perfect. We will definitely be using again.

I mostly get the chicken biriani because I'm a rebel and super adventurous. However the saag paneer is a bit of a game changer. And all the starters are immense. Now I want this again...

Ive added photos of our conversation about work people so please look in the photo section. Apparently from the owners response im a false person as stated in the other review if people are curious about this man i'll show you the texts between me and him (work related) People this is a warning!!! I'm leaving 1 star as that is a minimum!! I use to work as a delivery driver here and this place is awful, mo lies to the customers about delivery times which makes us drivers feel very uncomfortable. His chefs smoke just out the back blowing smoke into the kitchen where food is prepared, after smoking nobody washes there hands. The chefs don't wash there hands at all through the night and touch all different raw meats (cross contamination). The chicken is prepared at the beginning of the evening and left in a bucket on the stoll by the back door including summer when the door is open letting flies onto there food and not keeping chicken refrigerated as it should be. Also it is a commercial premises but allows the chefs to live there full time in the store. People this is just a warning feel free to take this advice to stay away or continue eating here but please don't say you haven't been warned

Just had a really lacklustre curry from here I can cope with that but the wet keema naan and onion bahjeess that were so dried up there on my bird table now ruined our meal .i live around the corner on bramley cresent and in the past have used it alot bit no more use just eat people

Not what it used to be!!!.....having previously received the wrong order after waiting over an hour & half,.had given Bearsted spice a wide birth not used them for over 6months....but thought would try again tonight....bad move ...waited 2 whole hours for our food having rung nice & early at 6:00 ....then when food arrived was missing a lamb dish ...when I rang to complain was told it didn’t get put through when I ordered it ...food used to be extremely tasty lots of lovely flavours...but as well as the service being really disappointing the food was also lacking this time ...watery sag panir , ..no creamy sauce in it .looked like pond weed ...mixed meat starter chicken very dry & lamb like a piece of chewy leather!....won’t ever be ordering again ...awful.

The food is absolutely delicious. Very authentic. Lamb Biryani was very nice. We enjoyed the home cooked Biryani.

We have used Bearsted Spice for a year but recently they have gone really downhill. Tonight they delivered the wrong meal for me and included prawns in a lamb meal. I am allergic to prawns. The vindaloo delivered for my partner was like gravy. When we called to complain the manager couldn’t have cared less, saying he was too busy to do anything and blaming any problems on his chef. He was rude and offhand. They have just lost a regular customer forever. Just awful. AVOID!!

Usually I would buy a chinese or fish and chips for a friday night takeaway; however, I was encouraged by a friend of mine to order from ‘Bearsted Spice’ and I must say how pleastently surprised I was! After seeing and hearing really positive reviews I decided to buy the chicken korma and pilu rice, as well as some sides (naan bread and onion bahji). The chicken was so tender and tasty; the korma was sweet, but subtle. The two really complemented each other and I was suprised at how good the quality was for the price. The pilu rice was not dry or sticky but cooked perfectly with a brilliant flavour. The portion sizes are surprisingly quite big with my partner and I just about finishing the meal (we are big eaters). The delivery was fast and the delivery man (Hasan) was very polite and kind. I’m very happy with the overall quality of the meal, and I will 100% but again! Best Indian takeaway in Maidstone!
