Lovely cosy village pub with an open fireplace and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere with stunning views. Staff were really happy, friendly and their hospitality was first class. Lovely beer garden with plenty of seating. Food is absolutely first class as is the service right across the board. Visited on a Sunday for a drink and had their Roast Dinner, which I have to say was absolutely lovely!! I would highly recommend to anyone!!

This is a fantsic pub with beautiful views and gardens. The staff are very welcoming , we have booked for a party in the barn and they have been so kind and helpful. The food is good for prices and quality as well. We would come again and when they have the quiz on or a band as well. The decor is really nice its an oldy world feel but beautiful. There is a small car park on the back but road parking is available.

Very rude encounter if I’m honest. Family dinner out and just wanted a peaceful night with some good food and substandard drinks, but apparently even that’s a bit too much of a graft. Basically got shooed out within a few minutes of us sitting there. Very appalling bedside manner. Will NOT be coming here again. Tsk very disappointed.

I (62M) came here the other week with my wife, Mildred (63F), for a Saturday afternoon pub lunch. I had the Ribeye steak and she had Cumbrian Vichyssoise with the foie gras glaze. The food was lovely, drinks passable, and the wall art unnecessarily graphic for a country pub. The main issue came as we left, when we got into the car I was introduced to my Wife's boyfriend Gregor, a 6ft 7 Lithuanian Cage fighter and Chokehold "enthusiast". Who proceeded to knock me out upon my questioning of my wife's infidelity. I would have been able to have fight him off, after all I did gain a yellow belt in Karate during my mid teens, however due to the ribeye induced food coma brought about by the food I had in this pub my attempts to subdue him were in vain. I woke up 3 weeks later, weirdly sweaty, and being driven around at hair raising speeds through an Armenian mountain village I broke my way out of the car boot much to the surprise of Oleg, the village elder who's car I was locked in who mistook my screams for a clutch issue. 1 month later after a journey that can only be described as "Michael Bay esque" I arrived in Armenia's capital Yeveran. Where (much to my very understandable disgust) I found a cinema full of people what I can most accurately and appropriately described as Muriel and Gregor having incredibly graphic “special time” with an array of objects which appear to only be fit for use in an agricultural and/or Sulphur mining capacity. I think therefore it is only right to believe that the collapse of my relationship and life in England is entirely due to THE QUEEN'S HEAD, SUTTON VALANCE. One day when I have been removed from a no fly list I hope to return to this Pub (it was more of a cafe if I'm honest) and give them a strongly worded letter. As for Muriel and Gregor "El Ejecutor" (my nickname across much of South Western Armenia) will soon deal out his judgment upon the couple who was described by Adult Entertainment Weekly as "passionate and not in an arousing way" I hope this review is useful to any people who would want to visit this establishment in the near future. El Ejecutor P.S. I think it's tremendously disrespectful to call this place "The Queen's Head" after the incredibly sad and unexpected death of our beloved Monarch, ambassador, and all round piffting HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Popped in for a quick pint before moving on our holiday, loved the feel and atmosphere, visited the garden which was stunning congratulations to the owners obvious hard work and diligence. We were greeted by a professional and polite young man who tended to our needs. We liked it so much we found accomodation locally for the night and returned for dinner and drinks. The food was spot on perfectly priced for good tasty portions prepared in a timely manner. Guinness exceptional. Well done and thank you for your hard efforts in maintaining a quintessential English Country Pub. Joe and Mandy Publican's retired BII, Master Cellar man.

Easy 5. Due to transport failure, we ended up stranded in Sutton Valence late at night. The owners and staff were amazing and helped us however they could. Ended up being a great place to pass the time on a summers evening and night. The interior's gorgeous, with those thick wooden beams. And that's before you get to the amazing garden. Check out that lawn ;) I also saw a doggo. So I think the pub's dog friendly, too!

Beautiful pub and very kind and generous staff. We broke down whilst driving through Sutton Valence and had to wait 14 hours for a tow truck to come and get us. We went to to The Queens Head to wait for our tow truck and the owners were so accommodating. When the pub closed they left us with some tonic water and take away cups (we mentioned we had a bottle of gin in the boot) so we could at least enjoy a drink whilst we waited through the night. Very friendly people.
