The best restaurants serving Default food in Lee West Gosport South East

I know alot about Indian food, I have years under my belt cooking most Indian dishes from scratch, it's a passion and hobby of mine, I have lots of inside knowledge too on takeaway indian food. When I'm too busy or tired to cook I'll only order from These Guys, they are the best and use proper and fresh ingredients, not from a bucket like all the others in the area. Trust me I tried every other in the area and gave up hope then one day I found Solent Tandoori and they are 100% the best.

Very nice food, bubbly light batter on the cod. Large portions, sensible price

Couldn't out my finger on what was missing. But was all a bit average.

Very slow service. They take your order and money quick enough. Waited an hour. The food was bland and without much taste. Shame.

This place never fails me to serve up a great Indian meal, pity i can only get here once a year as i live in France. Nice firey jalfrazi for me. As prevoiusly said, retro al la 1970's 80's, here's to next year.

Gave me and my girlfriend food poisoning. Staff are lovely and welcoming though.

Food was okay but the drinks (milkshakes) were very disappointing. Looked lovely but were quite tasteless - just milk and syrup. Most other places I have visited use ice-cream in milkshakes. Maybe I'm too fussy? Dog-friendly which was a bonus but wouldn't go back I'm afraid to say.

Love this little place! I come to monks hill to swim every Sunday and treat myself to a hot chocolate and some sausage and chips afterwards. Always yummy and hot, perfect after a cold swim!

Great place to be at peace with the ocean.

Ok it’s time to review New Madarin Chinese Takeaway. 🥡 Always wanted to try this place. Since May 2024 recommended by one of the young autistic female staff members who I met at a step family wedding vows. Forgot her name forgive me. lol she’s lovely! 😻 Anyway moving on to the service it was busy because England were playing a serious final with Spain. My take out time was 1 hour and 20 minutes. And they forgot to say to me we only do cash 💸 # oh dear only had card and had to let one of my neighbours know in a hurry for cash. They should accept card more in future. When I tucked into dinner 🍽️ my I was surprised. It was delicious 😋 I can tell you that. (Probably a recipe of love 🥰 went into it) I had Chicken in Honey Chill and Beef with Tomatoes 🍅 and a memorable foture cookie saying Don’t be Hasty, Prosperity will knock on your door soon. Would I go back to New Madarin that is the question I am going to say……..of course I would. I would go back! Just needs improvement in some areas. ❤️

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Bun, that couldn’t be fixed by competition in Lee on Solent. It hasn’t changed in years, the furniture, carpets etc continue to look tatty. The drink and bar staff are all really nice, as you would get in almost any other pub, anywhere - and there’s an open fire place too.

This is the first time that I’ve been in the Bluebird for many years and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is bright and the tables well spaced and the layout is much more welcoming. I had a toasted bacon and sausage sandwich which was delicious. The wholemeal bread was thick and chunky with ample filling of spicy sausage and bacon. My friend had a small breakfast which he said was equally tasty. The prices seem reasonable and the staff are pleasant so I would be more than happy to repeat the experIence.

The new cottage loaf have been doing a marvellous job delivering their delicious bread etc during the pandemic, remember to support local businesses!!
