Sizzling in Gosport

Very slow service. They take your order and money quick enough. Waited an hour. The food was bland and without much taste. Shame.

Best place in Gosport and Lee on Solent, if you want hot tasty food at a reasonable price with a nice cold pint or excellent glass of wine...then look no further than this pub, it's our local and we love it.

Best pub food in Lee on Solent, only thing I would say, they need to open earlier for breakfast. The food was great, the staff were knowledgeable about their products, and the beer was fantastic.

Went for a drink to c the place after it was refurbished but was told fully booked for food so we had to sit at the back of pub when I went to loo plenty of empty tables so was not happy sitting on a tiny table where people going out emergency exit to smoke and leaving door open so was very cold and waiting by door to b seated when just going for drink is it a pub or a restaurant now

Great meal at a very good price.

First time at this pub, won't be the last. Freshly cooked food. What more could you ask for?

Normally, the food is great. Today, it was not.

It was ok but not great. Rice with curry was not cooked and Luke warm, the banofee cheesecake was awful. Won't visit again for a while.

Great atmosphere, and seaviews, very reasonable menue prices very helpful friendly staff and dog friendly.

Food was ok but the service was awful, we waited 1hr 10 mins to be served and that was knlt because we had to remind them

Just had a steak meal, if i had got the 2nd steak, first and my second order of onion rings with my meal instead of after my dessert then would have given 5 out of 5. Still love coming here as the place has good service and is value for money. More importantly I can use my Blue Light Card here 💙 😋👍

Enjoyed the starters. And wine was very reasonable. But to hear the people on the table next to us be told at 7.30 that there were no tomatoes or onions left, did start the alarm bells ringing!!! And it wasn't good when it arrived.

The old ship in Lee on Solent is a pleasant medium sized pub/ eatery. It's got a nice size car park, with plenty of parking around if it's full. The pub is well kept and has a nice vibe about it. Plenty of tables at a comfortable distance apart. My partner and I like the menu, lots to choose from. The food is very nice, and good size portions. We think it's good value for money. The only thing that lets it down, is lack of staff. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. For drinks food etc. Saying that we had a fantastic date night and the young lady serving us (sarah) was amazing. So to sum it up... would I recommend the old ship ..YES
