The best restaurants serving Default food in Fareham South East

Went here today for afternoon tea with a friend. Absolutely delicious food (four types of sandwiches, lemon and blueberry cake, tiffin, brownie, bread pudding and scone with cream and jam). Service was attentive but left us to chat in peace as well. We were able to sit in the booth, which was great for a good natter. We'll definitely be back!

Terrible woman in there, unsmiling not a bit friendly. Should take a course on customer relations. I gather she has come back from the Commercial road cafe. Please send her back. Regarding the food. No bits of green on the plate etc. I would watch out with so much competition in the area.

Lovely friendly Indian takeaway. We have been using Spice Village for a couple of years now and have no complaints. The food is always flavoursome and good portion sizes too. The staff are always friendly and it’s always ready for collection at the time given. It’s great to be able to watch the food being cooked if you want. Thoroughly recommend, good prices too.

Smells of bleach and frequented mostly by locals and some areas looking tired. Staff helpful. Nothing special and lots of other places nearby have better ambiance and charm.

George was fabulous. The customer before us was quite rude. He didn't let it phase him! George was friendly and made a great cup of coffee 😊

We wanted to give our Doberman dog, Tewkesbury, a decent walk from Swanwick marina, so headed for Mermaid’s Cafe. Forgot it closed at 4 on Sundays, so pleased they let us squeeze inside at 1 minute to the hour! They were super friendly, even though they must have been ready to close up. All our hot chocolates and coffee were delicious. Couldn’t resist the ice cream (saw customer before me) in a real cone! …. and then a home made oat and sultana biscuit caught my eye - irresistible!! Love this place. A hidden gem.

We went to celebrate my wife’s and daughter’s birthdays. The food was excellent with a very good choice on the menus, the service was good and we all enjoyed the evening.😀

Lovely fish n chips although slightly costly worth every penny. X

Quite disappointed, chicken was sort of hot and my chips were cold when they arrived. The Mac and cheese wasn't very nice.

What an amazing evening from the welcoming greeting as we arrived to the server Chloe who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was outstanding! Above all the food was a culinary delight, we were a family of 6 who all had starters mains and desserts all of which were presented impeccably and tasted amazing… we each couldn’t help but try each others! Highly recommended a warm and cosy atmosphere even our puppy was made to feel at home. We will definitely return now harpers is one of our favourite spots to go.

Lovely place,nice staff.Mother day is busy but good for family time.

A pleasant place to stop for a drink or I imagine food (although we didn't have food here) before or after a day's shopping.

Always very happy with everything (have ordered here many many times) I'm pretty sure a lot of the bad reviews are not genuine, and likely to be from competitors making things up.
