Luciano's in Fareham

We had a private function for a 30th birthday party with family and friends. It was the PERFECT venue. The buffet was amazing! The staff were super helpful in supporting us through the setting up, booking process and then the entire day! I highly recommend Luciano’s if you need a venue for a special event!

Food delicious. Just a pity that they did not have dairy free deserts.

A great welcome on arrival. Great selection of food and wine. Food was very nice and well presented. The owner/manager made us feel so welcome on arrival. Waitress on the other hand completely ignored our table of 5. We came to celebrate friend's birthday but I had to literally ask for another drink, she didn't even bother to ask if we need anything else. They had 4 tables plus us and we waited and waited to have table clean, but no one came, we had to actually ask politely to clear our table from dirty plates. We were never offered desert menu, I had to ask waitress for desert menu but by then it was too late as we decided to leave anyway. Despite this, food tasted great.

Went for a meal last Friday, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

My partner and I had our anniversary meal here and I couldn’t fault the service from start to finish. On arrival we noticed the staff had left a card and flowers on our table which started our night off lovely. The food was incredible, I had a pizza and my partner had the carbonara. Thanks Lucianos. We will be back. ☺️

Wow. What can I say. I had a phenomenal meal here last weekend. The antipasto came out and looked beautiful. I found it to be a very generous helping too, which for me is great as I have a big appetite. My main course of tagliatelle calabrese was delicious. Perfect balance of flavours. Considering I hear they use one kitchen for this restaurant and the pub at the front, they do a great job. I would have appreciated some more opportunities to order more drinks but on the whole the service was great too.

Delicious food with a varied choice on the menu. It's quite pricey but the service was friendly and attentive so that balances it a bit. For a Friday night the restaurant was a bit quiet. Use it or lose it Warsash!

I've waited a while to leave a review for what was, the worst meal out I've had in my life. Firstly, some caveats. Yes, they comped my food which I really appreciate (the only time in my life I've ever asked for food to be taken off the bill - see why below). Secondly, it was a large group, but we had preordered starters and mains weeks in advance. We had a meal out at a pub a week later and all the food was out 15 minutes after we sat down, so I don't think this can be an excuse when the table was booked 2 months in advance. We arrived in the evening, I had made the mistake to not order a starter. It took 2 hours for us to receive the main courses. I'd ordered Spaghetti with Fish (fruiti di mare) and a Mushroom Risotto for my partner. The Risotto arrived first, and wasn't cooked. About half the rice was cooked enough (soft), but half was hard and chalky. My partner started to feel sick from eating it - this was sent back and I asked for a standard Cheese and Tomato Pizza, thinking this would take 5-10 minutes. Big mistake. 25 minutes later, the Fruiti Di Mare Spaghetti turned up - when the rest of the table had finished their food and we were beyond starving, so much so we felt sick. The Spaghetti, cooked better than the risotto, was very stodgy and was similar to home cooked meal. The sauce was acceptable but again, it didn't come across as we were having a meal out at an Italian. I don't think this is fresh pasta, it must be durum wheat pasta from a supermarket. The Pizza, having recently been to Italy, was genuinely shocking. It was similar to a Pizza at a main brand hotel - eg I'd ordered a Premier Inn room service. Think Stonebaked Pizza from a Supermarket oven cooked, it was a similar vibe. I wish I'd stuck to the uncooked risotto. Again, I appreciate they took the food off and want to make very clear that nullifies some bad points, but I have never left a 1 star review before, and I've never asked for food to be taken off the bill in my entire life. The service staff were very apologetic as only a few of us had issues at the table, but it was a mixture of uncooked, very poor italian food that really shocked me. It was a special occasion (luckily not for me) but this really marred the experience. High Street Italian restaurants are far superior to this place and it really embarrasses Italian food cuisine. I really hope they improve.

Really really good food- can recommend arancine, calamari, meatballs prawns starters, mains chicken ceasar salad, sirloin steak with mushrooms, chicken, saltimbucco. Chips are to die for and so is lemon sorbet with limoncello . If you haven't been food is great, atmosphere great, (love the music) and service great. Well worth a visit. Warsash needs a good italian restaurant and this one definitely fits the bill.

Four of us had dinner Thursday evening. One had a starter, mushrooms in dolce latte sauce. We had mains of pasta Arrabiatta, Pasta Amatriciana and Chicken stuffed and wrapped in Parma ham (×2 Pollo Ripieno). finished off with vanilla cheesecake and lemon tart. Everything was spot on from the atmosphere, the lovely staff, the restaurant itself and the quality and quantity of the food. Priced reasonably with a bottle of wine our bill was £113. We will definitely be going back and can thoroughly recommend.

A group of us went for dinner and left really disappointed. The service was absolutely brilliant and the food arrived quickly and everyone really enjoyed their starters. But the main courses were such a disappointment and really let the meal down. It was very quiet for a Saturday night so lacked an atmosphere. And at £50 a head we would have expected much more. Sadly we won’t be returning

Caught up with good friends for a very relaxed dinner in this small, smart, cheery and unassuming restaurant. Food was beautifully cooked and presented and all arrived in timely fashion! Staff were very attentive and well turned out. Would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere different and you don't want to be left disappointed!

We had an excellent night at Luciano's Italian Restaurant, located behind the Hook Pub. It is a small boutique style restaurant with good decor and crisp white table cloths. The food was great and we had very personal and attentive service. We had starters of mushroom dolcelatte, and pate. Our party then had Tagliatelli Alfredo, with Sirloin steak, Polo Ripieno and a Bistecca al funghi, with very tasty italian sauces. A bottle of Nero D'Avola wine went well with this. For desserts we had the lemon tart and also Hazelnut cookie, finishing off with coffees. For those that remember Franco and Paolo's Restaurant in Locksheath this is even better. We booked to eat out again there this month. Well done Franco

We had such a lovely family meal. Service was great. Food was delicious. Decor was modern and chairs were comfy.

What a little gem of a discovery this was! Ate with my wife and my sister inlaw and had a fantastic night. The food was excellent, the prices were good and the entire experience was lovely. The only odd thing is that it's part of the pub, but at the back. There's a separate entrance or you can walk through the pub!

Went last night for the launch of the new menu. The food was delicious with very good portion sizes! Came away absolutely stuffed 😂 The staff were brilliant too, very welcoming, attentive and informed about the new menu. Will definitely go back.

We went to the re launch of Luciano's last night and to the Whitney tribute a few weeks ago. Whitney was fantastic, great night had by all. Lovely atmosphere. Last night we sampled the new menu and it was brilliant. More Traditional Italian dishes available and very reasonably priced in my opinion. Staff were lovely and friendly. Things have been added/changed since it first opened but I truly believe they are changes for the better and have improved the overall atmosphere and lots more food choice! Will definitely recommend & return. Thankyou all at Luciano's

We attended a tribute evening tonight and from start (booking over the phone) to finish the service I’ve received from this beautiful, authentic restaurant has been outstanding. The food was delicious, the entertainment was superb and the outstanding ladies that took care of us really were the very best. Huge smiles, genuinely friendly, professional service with drinks flowing and food served faultlessly. This was our first time at Lucianos but it certainly won’t be our last. A great night out. Fabulous restaurant we visied last night! We live near by so have been a few times but last night was our best selection and the food was outstanding! So much so I had to bring half home! Both myself and my husbands food was so lovely! To top it all off the waitress was amazing, friendly, cheerful and super helpful! All in all a fabulous night! Than you Lucianos xx

I can’t thank Ryan and his team enough from the start of planning my fiancé 30th birthday using the whole restaurant at lucianos was amazing. They provided help throughout and nothing was a problem to rearranging the seats to the food service. His waitress service was impeccable. Let me not forget the amazing chef and team who delivered first class Italian food. Not one complaint. He delivered 45 starters, mains and dessert to come out within minutes for everyone on each course. I’m sure most of the guest will be returning. If you haven’t been before please visit you will not be disappointed! Thanks again all at lucianos! Sorry we didn’t get photos of food too delicious!

Me and my children just had a meal at Luciano's and have to say the food and atmosphere was fantastic . The staff and host Zabrina gave amazing service and everyone said how much of a good time we had. We all has 3 courses. We were down on holidays and will definitely come back again :) Well done .

Had our daughters 11th Birthday here today with some of her friends. The restaurant was very accommodating with regards to their food orders & changing things to suit their various choices. The food was excellent as usual and the staff were very friendly and efficient as usual. Excellent place to take the children!

Excellent squid starter. Prompt service. However, main, (cajun & nduga pollo), chicken extremely dry, with minimal sauce. The plate mainly composed of ordinary frozen chips which were described as parmesan fries, but no parmesan element to them. Lemon cheesecake had no lemon flavour to it, and was probably vanilla, (nice though, but not what ordered). Also, one of us ordered pasta but got a pizza. Staff very apologetic, but not reflected in the bill. Disappointing.

Visited lucianos for the first time on Friday with my parents and one year old daughter. The service was brilliant and staff friendly, especially with our little girl. The food was delicious and enough choice for everyone, the children's portions are huge and would do as a main for many adults. The carbonara and pizza were delicious, proper Italian carbonara sauce and very impressed as I am a little fussy! Will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely evening Luciano's.

First visit to Luciano's and the Hook, last time I was here it was The Ferryman and a functions room (missed the Ship and Shovel period due to Corona and won't give away my age by mentioning old Bert Shaw and the 'Arry'). Have many Italian friends in catering industry, so arrived with somewhat critical eye. The atmosphere was good, albeit a little loud later on when full (low ceiling). All staff were very friendly, welcoming and professioneal The menu is not exceptionally large but is diverse enough to cater for everybody. The food ordered arrived ingood time and hot. The aspagus and mushroom pasta and belly pork were very tasty as were the desserts. Prices very good and good parking. Will definitly return. .

This restaurant claims to to have years of experience cooking Italian food, my wife and I had a risotto and was easily the worst we have ever had.

A family group of 8, we were disappointed by the pretentious menu( no Italian classics) and the standard of the food. Our mains arrived one hour 30 minutes after our booking time- it wasn’t that busy! Starters were generally tasty but small, but main dishes were poorly prepared, greasy and quite tasteless. We ended our evening by not paying for 3 of the main dishes - something totally alien to us. Very disappointing experience.

Had seen good things on Facebook and as a long time fan of Franco’s restaurants was really excited to be visiting for the first time on Mother’s Day. I was shocked by the price of nearly £30 for two courses. £22 for a roast dinner!! Two of our number ordered the lemon posset with chantilly cream and caramelised white chocolate for desert. When it arrived it was only the posset and cream with no caramelised white chocolate. I questioned where it was and was told it was there but it was such a fine dusting I couldn’t see it! I explained that on a smooth pale yellow and cream desert I would most definitely see it and feel it. Then I was told it was in the cream which it wasn’t as I had tasted it. Couldn’t believe I was having to argue about it. Eventually after much discussion he took it back to the kitchen and it came back with what looked like grated chocolate on it. It wasn’t very nice. He did refund one pudding though. The protracted discussion really spoiled the occasion. Really gutted as had such high hopes.

Newly opened Luciano's in Warsash, Hampshire is a real treat. Excellent food. The menu is small but has perfect choices. Service was efficient and very friendly. Franco Adarni had done a superb job in his new venture.

Sorry to review so negatively but this was not a good experience. Rather hoping to have found a local gem but sadly this was not the case. Service was a bit hit and miss, mainly miss, the windowless room echoed and was noisy, especially when some overly loud and unnecessary music was added. The food was very disappointing, the cost of main meals was deducted without comment - need I say more?

Very limited menu. The Acoustics were terrible and had to shout between the six of us. I ordered the pork, this came as four very small medallions, small veg and as for the potato, it was the size of a matchbox. Three of us ordered Tiramisu for pudding, mine was half the size of the other two. The beer was very expensive. I’ll will say that service was very good, but I got the feeling that I was about to be ripped off on portion size. Won’t be going back.

Our first visit to Lucianos today to celebrate my sisters birthday with the whole family. We found the staff to be attentive and friendly. The food was really good and well presented, everyone from my parents to our children loved the choice that was available on both the main & children’s menus. We will definitely be returning.

We were regulars at Franco's restaurant in Locks Heath so were pleased to have him back in Warsash & to try his new restaurant. The venue looked great but unfortunately the atmosphere wasnt the same & the food was disappointing. The food was not hot, the calamari was tasteless & some dishes were served differently than on the menu. The service staff seemed too busy to check on us & respond to our feedback.
