We love it here! Perfect spot for breakfast. I had a wonderful pancake stack and my partner had a halloumi & bacon roll - both delicious! Great for a post-walk treat. The team are all lovely too - super friendly, attentive and the place is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated as well. Very dog friendly and lots of space for families too.

I have used so many bakery’s over the years and Frankies bakery’s is by far the best. Wow her brownies and blondies are so gooey, if you go I highly recommend the Jamie blondie it’s my favourite and will be yours once try it. her attention to detail is amazing. Always goes out of her way to make my orders perfect. Thank you frankies

We enjoyed a very nice meal here, the staff were exceptional especially the young lad (didn’t get his name) at the time who gave us great service. The food was delicious, went for the venison steak and it didn’t disappoint. Cooked to perfection and coupled with a sauce that was truly a masterpiece in itself. Would definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

Beware if you are a COELIAC This place says its chips are cooked in a separate fryer which they may well be. However I ate six “ gluten free” chips and two hours later bloating and nausea. Still with me the day after. There must have been gluten contamination somewhere - all it needs is a hand, an implement, ANYTHING to have been contaminated with just a tiny speck of gluten to cause a reaction ( vomiting diarrhoea severe pain dizziness for up to a week) At least it didn’t make me sick this time. Every hotel cafe restaurant in the country should be trained in gluten intolerance/ coeliac. Actually not an intolerance but a serious auto immune disease which can cause hospital admission. We won’t be going back needless to say.

We were offered the official best table in the place, one of two in the windows overlooking the bay. This is a quirky old style teashop to savour. I loved all the nostalgic film posters from the golden age of the cinema, together with some great (though not intrusive) music primarily from a similar age. I could happily have stayed much longer, watching the world go by, but we were only there for scones and a drink. Needless to say, the scones were delicious and the cakes looked equally so. What about the owners and staff then?, well guess what, they were delightful!

Called in for a coffee and snack after our frequent walk along the bay and round back into Arnside. When this first opened I was a little wary as we are used to small intimate tea/coffee shops in Arnside. However this was our second visit and as we entered we were greeted by obviously the front of house guy “David”. Wow does this guy know how to do it Welcoming ,friendly, Northern (always a bonus). Had a lovely coffee and Hubby had a great crisp bacon bun. The vibe in this cafe/restaurant is great., modern but great service. We live quite locally and are encouraged to go in the evening now as well. In our opinion the best restaurants are always about the front of house and Crossfields has it right. Everyone in this place has a great view of our beautiful Morecambe bay.

well again, finally finding this place open at the 4th attempt was a relief. Nice coffee and pleasant couple who run it. great location next to the train station, so if you're waiting for a train and if it's open! then worth popping in.

Whilst walking in Arnside we decided to call into The Wagtail for a latte. The owner served us at our table and was very friendly ,our coffee was lovely. On leaving I bought a freshly baked Beef n Potato pasty to take home. Served at home with some mushy peas,I can honestly say it was one of the best pasties ive ever had. Plenty of large pieces of beef with chunks of potato in a well made pastry. It tasted fantastic. I believe that you can have the pies delivered to your home, frozen and ready for the oven. Would I return ... Yes definately.
