Our first round in England, what a cracker. The course is a little quirky but in great condition and a fair challenge. From the arrival to lunch in the clubhouse after the staff and members were warm friendly and engaging. Highly recommend this hidden gem

Played a round of golf here with my husband last month. Absolutely stunning scenery and the course is beautiful as you would imagine. The clubhouse is amazing and the food service and menu's are fabulous. If you're up in the area and don't play golf it doesn't matter just go and relax and enjoy the food and tranquility. Will be returning soon as possible. 👍

My husband and I visited here on the spur of the moment after spending the day at Leighton Moss RSPB. It was just before the kitchens closed for the evening but Neil, the chef, welcomed us and offered to cook pretty much anything we wanted. We only wanted a light snack which was absolutely delicious. My husband had an amazing chicken and bacon salad and I just had a ham sandwich (best ham I've ever tasted!). The young man working in the bar (Jack) was one of the most polite young men we've ever met. He was extremely helpful and we both felt he couldn't do enough for us. He took time to ask about our day and chat with both of us. A positive experience that we will definitely repeat next time we're in the area. Thank you Neil and Jack for making us feel so welcome! ☺

The recent refurbishment at this venue has been tastefully carried out giving it an attractive and welcoming atmosphere. We visited on a Saturday night when it was very quiet, but it was a very enjoyable experience. Service was excellent, and the food was beautifully cooked and well presented. Altogether the best meal we have had in the area - hopefully it will get the support it needs to keep the standard high.

Sunday lunch - The only dish that was remotely edible was cheese and onion pie. The beef was tough and the vegetables were like last weeks leftovers. Pork roast was also rock hard. We didn’t stay for desserts and the chef was unavailable for us to speak with him. This used to be a good restaurant and the decor is very nice . What a shame !

My wife and I had a wedding celebration here just after the refurbishment. It was the new steward's first event, and Lee and his team (including a superb chef) were outstanding. They couldn't do enough to accommodate us, and they were friendly throughout. The food itself was amazing, and all the guests were delighted with the quality of the buffet. I would definitely recommend Lee and his team, and look forward to returning for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

We called in for lunch after hearing tales of the great beer. They were not exaggerated, and I thought my pint from the Bowland Brewery was excellent. We also had a snack - my cheese and onion toastie was super, and although the place was almost deserted on a weekday lunchtime in October, it had a pleasant atmosphere, given that it's a typical golf club with a modern style of décor adorned with Honours Boards and trophies. It is open to the general public and well worth a look if you are in the area, maybe at the nature reserve opposite.

Popped in for lunch with my son who is a member. Fresh, tasty food which was very well cooked, and nicely presented. No complaints at all here, and when I'm visiting again, wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

We were recommended to eat at the golf club whilst out on a long walk and found nowhere to eat in Silverdale. It was a good tip and we have been back again since. The food is freshly made and very tasty. They have speciality evening also which we believe are very good. You just have to go!

Dull interior (well it's like a golf club so what more can you say), however splendid fish and chips served every Friday to a packed house. Very tasty and reasonably priced.

Been to The Nineteenth a few times now for the Friday Night special of Eddie's fish and chips - only tried that as it's TOO good to change away from. It'll beat most specialist 'chippys' in the area and the ship will have struggled to haul it in ! I cannot believe that the locals don't use this place more than they do - they must not know about it as it's actually inside the golf club itself - I suppose it's because I'm a golfer that I know it's there. Not one to miss!

Several return trips to 'The Nineteenth' later, and we are both suitably impressed by the consistent size and quality of the "Friday night special" haddock & chips served by the friendly staff. Hence a need for our very positive review! Sampling is a MUST!
