This is a nice little place that is near Stanley Palace. I had the tuna & cheese toast, and it was delicious. You can eat in or take away. The prices are also very reasonable.

This was a really characterful little cafe in the heart of Chester. The staff were so friendly and accommodating for us and our dog! The food was 10/10, the perfect breakfast. We couldn’t fault a thing!

We had a lovely hot chocolate at Riley's on the Rows. It had an unspecified nutty flavour but was very pleasant. The decor inside is very British. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, there were some stacked chairs and a bit of a mess, which would have benefited from a bit of tidying up. The table wasn't clean and there was also a smell of cigarettes in the room due to the smoking area not being closed.

I love the egg toast— it's addictive! Great coffee, great service, pleasant atmosphere. My favorite place for breakfast. For lunch they have delicious vegetarian options. They even have vegan and vegetarian desserts. I love coming here.

Shrub is great! In a way it single-handedly made Chester ‘vegan-friendly’ and its continued success is very much deserved. Food-wise, it’s very much become a ‘small plates’ restaurant. With a few exceptions, most of the menu consists of tapas-sized plates of food and I’d recommend getting 3 or 4 if you go down that route. Literally ALL of the food at Shrub is fantastic but a special shout out to the tofu cubes which have featured on the menu for a few years, with the occasional change of flavouring. They really are immense and I could probably eat them all day if I had to! Dessert choices are varied and excellent too, and the staff are always friendly, fun and just the right side of attentive. The decor is also bang on point: modern but not too cold or bland. Shrub is a nice place to be during the day or for that cosy, intimate evening meal. For some of the best quality plant-based food in Chester, Shrub is hard to beat.

Had a celebration meal for my newly wed Daughter, Emma, new Son in Law, Ryan, Son, Jack and my future Daughter in law, Beth here. Food was so fresh. Pizzas the best I’ve ever tasted and staff were so helpful and friendly. Very reasonable prices too! Highly recommend you try this restaurant when you are in Chester as you will not be disappointed.

First time eating here and wow we were not disappointed.. great place and atmosphere, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the staff were absolutely amazing, we couldn’t fault anything , would definitely recommend and go again.

The steak sharing platter was amazing. We were well looked after by great staff. Afterwards our friendly barman escorted us personally to the secret speakeasy Prohibition. Thanks for a memorable night.

Stumbled upon this little spot for some breakfast this morning and what a gem! The food was delicious, service was pleasant and bustling atmosphere shows how popular this place is. Would highly recommend.

The barman Ben(sorry forgot name), the waiter with the long fringe, and the security man were a splendid representation and made the experience well worthy. Relatively quiet so we was in the small lounge but made it intimate.

First visit. We both had bento boxes. Lovely selection. I'm glad we booked because this is a small venue and very popular, even on a Thursday night. The food was excellent 👌. I especially enjoyed the teriyaki salmon.

Went for a 3 course lunch and could have not been better. The food was exquisite. Sent my compliments to the chef. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Been to many Michelin Star restaurants and some were not of this quality. Will definitely return.

Had a really lovely time and even brought out a surprise dessert for my boyfriend for his birthday, was very grateful as I had no idea if they would do anything or not. Can’t wait to come back!
