Stile Napoletano in Cheshire West and Chester

My daughter and I enjoyed really delicious, authentic Pizzas (they tasted exactly like the ones I enjoyed in the south of Italy when I was living there) at Stile Napoletano on Saturday 12th October. We had side dishes of a rocket and tomato salad and melanzane alla parmigiana. Both were good but the pizzas were really the star of the show. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We’ve been trying to book a table for some time, and now that we finally had the chance to get a table, I can say that it was worth the wait. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped if you're tall, but the atmosphere is nice. We booked for four and were promptly welcomed by the servers who brought us a few antipasti and then the pizzas, which exceeded our expectations. The dough, made by the Italian pizza chef and owner Giacomo, was really tasty. Dessert is also a must-try. The pastiera napoletana was the perfect finish to a nice and enjoyable meal. Bravo!

This is a real Italian pizza restaurant they have many awards for them. They don't do pasta or any other dishes other than very yummy deserts. Their Pizzas are all made by hand from the best ingredients ,you can taste every flavour and the base and sides are so light.

Don’t really get all the rave reviews. My pizza was nice but fairly bland. Just didn’t really taste of anything. Nice place overall and very clean. But sorry , not the best pizza imho.

I'm sorry to give a rating that in my expectations should have been much higher. The environment is very nice designed in an Italian/Neapolitan style. The pizza menu is captivating and full of expectations. The quality of the ingredients is also of good value. However, the pizza that was served to me did not (in my opinion) live up to the reputation of the place. Undercooked, with a chewy and too soft "edge" (I like crunchy). Furthermore, the service is poorly organised. The only happy note was the Neapolitan pastiera, which was truly "classy". Prices not low, but in line with the restaurants on the street. However I will return; I'm convinced it was a bad day for the pizza chef.

Having lived in Italy my partner is borderline obsessive on finding great pizza. Well, all I can say is thank you! He proclaimed your pizza the best he has had in the UK. I agree. For me what makes great pizza is the sum of its parts and all the parts were delicious. Big thanks to letting us have our dog on early doors too. Really well priced too. Complimente!

We popped in on the offchance (myself, wife and child) and they were very accommodating! The pizzas were out extremely quickly, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent! Highly recommended!

They proudly display this Europe-wide pizza competition prize and rightly so. Their pizza base is unbelievable, probably the best I’ve ever had and great quality toppings. Only slight negative was that they store their red wine close to the pizza oven so consequently it’s served warm, wayyyy too warm for red wine. Fair play when I mentioned this they thanked me for the observation and said they would rethink how they store their wine. Just don’t be afraid to mention it if your wine is served warm, a great restaurant like this which takes amazing care of their pizza rally should take better care of their 2nd best revenue generator, the wine. Still 5 stars from me.

We ate some delicious pizzas, better than many places in Italy, quality products. The service girls were kind in serving. The place is informal and is in the main street of Chester so in a very nice place. I again congratulate the guys who took us back to Italy for an evening. They managed to squeeze me in on an early Saturday evening while visiting Chester for a night and despite dining alone they were happy to accommodate. The pizza was out of this world and service was fabulous. Highly recommended, I stumbled upon a true gem!

Great staff. Pizza amazing, good ingredients etc but for me it's all about the bake and the dough. The dough is so light I don't know how they do it. Usually after a pizza I'm full, can hardly move, feel like a nap! After a pizza from here I felt absolutely fine. Great job guys and I hope you are around for years to come.

I have eaten many pizzas in my day. No hyperbole, this was the best I've ever had. My son agrees. Next time Im in Chester, I'll be heading straight there.

Authentic Italian place, they are from Ischia and they certainly know how a pizza is made! For Italians: the only real pizza you will find in Chester and surrounding areas, very good!

I have changed my review after taking the owners superior knowledge of Neapolitan pizza bases on board. Disappointed with the base I found it very stodgy although the toppings were very tasty, also the provola fritta was rather bland. My experience of a quality pizza is of one always cooked in a wood fired oven.

Common pizza, cheese sticks looks Lidl or Aldi. Pizza is very common, dough was chewy. 3 basil leaves… not enough toppings. All in very small portions.

Couldn't get into the great Italian we visited last time..... And thank goodness! This is the best! Small and direct menu. We skipped starters and we've got pizza. I had a traditional Neopolitan pizza; white base, sausage and wild broccoli. Top class. Great imported Italian lager. Desserts to die for. Amazing tiramisu and something else. See the photos. A must. Neapolitan pizza dough (cooked at a higher temperature than normal, home-made Italian pizzas) quality tomato that remains a little liquid. The pizza melts in your mouth!! Six star experience. Served and seated by a fantastic member of staff called Amelie, atmosphere was great, service was prompt, food was fantastic and reasonably priced compared to similar pizza places in the area. I do wish there’d been an option of some spirits on the drinks list, as I’m not a beer or wine drinker. Despite this I could not recommend highly enough, thank you Amelie for a wonderful dining experience. Will absolutely be back!

Ive been here with my firends, asked for a table for 3 and they said they didnt have unless we had booked. We put a take away order and 10 minutes later they sat other people without booking as they said they had a cancelled table.. unfair, should have asked us first if we still wanted to dine in as we were there waiting.. tall lady with glasses was too rude and kept saying that we put a take away order and thats why..you can easily put the food in a plate istead in a pizza box my girl! Super simple!!! After we left the lady was keep talking with her colleagues about us! Very disappointed as the food is superb!

The the best Italian pizza in the vicinity. Made by italian chefs too! Right in front of you as well! I would`ve loved if the fourmagi(the 4 italian cheese pizza) were made with italian cheese and not the british equivalent but aside from that(It was still so good!) the whole thing is just lovely. One more thing. If you love italian strong espresso I can recommend it. It's not in the menu but it's been many years since I had so good coffee. Proper strong italian stuff. Prices are more than affordable. It's cheaper than than Takeaway pizzas for example. You`re looking at about 20 odd pounds per person.

We were celebrating my cousin's birthday and they knew already of this hidden delight. I did not. The truffle pizza was off the scale. Amélie the waitress was like an A to Z of information and helpfulness, infact she suggested my entire choices. Not enough words. Belissimo!

Very small an personal, food is fantastic and cooked to perfection could of eaten it again. Try the homemade tiramisu it's bliss . You will have to pre book to avoid disappointment at busy times.

Went here for the first time. Had 3 different pizzas between us and all were really nice. Generous toppings without being smothered. Cheese was nice. Dough was puffy but really airy and not heavy, lovely taste to it aswell. Staff were friendly. Nice simple pizza menu with a few salad/starters.

Oh my god! What can I say? It was perfect. Honestly the best pizza my boyfriend and I have ever had. Even thinking about it makes me hungry! It’s such a cute little restaurant and a calm atmosphere. I liked that they were playing modern music in their simplistic decor, it just felt really cosy. We got the garlic focaccia with mozzarella for a starter and then for mains: I had a ham and rocket pizza and my boyfriend had a margarita. Delicious. It was our anniversary and it was just so very special. Can’t wait to return!

Just got back from Italy, wanted to try the "best pizza restaurant in England" as awarded, and it did NOT disappoint! Food was excellent and authentic, service was incredible (friendly, prompt, bonus is most spoke Italian), reasonably priced, and a great atmosphere in simple comfortable decor. Highly recommended 👌🏽

2 years ago - early October 2023 I’ve been to Stile 7 or 8 times and the food is impeccable, on point service and absolutely delicious. Best pizza I’ve ate outside of Italy. The smaller menu and dedication to a quality dough and specific choice of ingredients is unmatched in Chester for sure. 25th October 2023 Tonight though the pizza was inedible and oily and generally disgusting. I’m hoping it was an off night, but, the food was plastic like and required a strong soap to get the smell off my hands.

We visited for the 3rd time yesterday evening and every time has been flawless. We arrived quite late last night without a booking and the girls working could not have been more friendly and accommodating to us and our two dogs. The pizza is absolutely amazing and the service was quick and friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back whenever we're in Chester!

This is a purely pizza restaurant although the choices are many and varied. There were 8 of us and the meals arrived not at the same time which was disappointing. The food was good and was well cooked and the staff were very friendly.

A friend and I called in here as we both fancied a pizza. It was delicious and well worth the money. The service was excellent too. Will be back again in the future

Best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy!

Probably the only place I've eaten where the terrible customer service is outweighed by fantastic food.

Looking for an Italian restaurant we found "Stile Napoletano". We were helped friendly and quickly. I ordered the Capricciosa. Well-stocked. But I still miss the real Italian crispy crust a bit. (I've been visiting family in Italy for 40 years. I've eaten a lot of pizzas). It's a little too bready. Then the Babá Napoletano. That was delicious. It could also be decorated a bit more cozily. But Stile Napoletano is definitely recommended.

True Italian pizza with friendly Italian service Clean & tidy restaurant

They have a very basic menux, not much to choose from. When I ask for a decent common beer like Peroni they didn’t have any, what they have is probably some cheap beer you never heard of. If you ask for soft drink they bring to you just a can of coke (no glass with ice) and charge you 30p worth (bulk buy) can for £3. The so-called pizza has a huge crust like ring of balun and in the middle, you have some eatable area. I think, it gives the illusion that you have good size pizza and to cut the pizza they don’t give the pizza cutters they give you steak knife as you have ordered a steak. If you ask for peperoni, they give you salami as it is the same thing, they treat people like we are idiots. When I asked for pepper and salt the pepper grinder did not work it was joke. Overall, it didn’t feel like you are eating at the restaurant but some makeshift room. They didn’t even try to hide the extractor fan pipe running along the inside of the shop. To my opinion it is not worth eating at places like that because they are not given you something authentic just a cheap food in a basic room. Only one thing good about the place is the decoration is so basic, it is easy to clean. If you care about what you eat and your money you should avoid this place.

This is an easily missed superb pizza restaurant on Watergate Street. Mostly busy due to the excellent pizza on offer. However we enjoyed the Caprese salad as a starter to enjoy an excellent Parmigiana . We then shared a delicious Margherita pizza with salami. Very good Ichnusa Italian beer as well. Dont miss out !

The best Neapolitan style pizza I have had outside Italy. Light, baked beautifully and every bite was delicious. Beautiful sparking red to go with it.

Thankfully it was a nice evening as we made the mistake of turning up on a Monday evening, without a reservation, to find the place fully booked. We managed to get one of the pavement tables which was absolutely fine. The service was lovely and the pizzas were delicious. Pricing was very reasonable.

Don’t bother trying this place if you have any dietary requirements. Front of house waitress did her best to help but was being let down by the management staff. Not prepared to be flexible and went back on promises that were made. Other than that, the food was ok, but nothing to write home about.

I’ve travelled the world. I’ve eaten pizza. I can honestly say this was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. The base was cooked to perfection, the sauce was full of flavour and the toppings were exquisite. Try it for yourself. If you love pizza, you won’t be disappointed.
